Ordered bottle of Veuve Clicquit for my wife’s 60th birthday. First time I had used the Champagne Company.

I have had a bad history with this…
I have had a bad history with this business. Having had to do a bank charge back when they took my money (£200) but didn't supply the goods earlier this year, imagine my surprise when last week I got a cold call from them out of the blue presumably trying to reboot my custom. I'd be intrigued to find out how they got my number... ironically I suspect from my complaints about them back in January/February. Not sure how that sits with the communications ombudsman. Stay away people, sharp practice afoot.

I have taken a look into this and can see that our customer services team contacted you to advise that the product on your order had been delayed within our stock network, and as you needed the order sooner, we swapped you to an available champagne which was dispatched immediately and your order delivered within the original delivery timeframe.
I understand that you requested a refund for the delivery charge, but I am afraid we were not able to offer this as the order did still need to be delivered. However, we can see that your order was sent with a complementary gift bag as a gesture of good will.
