Arrived 13th December
Arrived 13th December, the hotel was packed with mourners. I went to the reception, no one was there, so I went to the bar and asked a member of staff could check me in. She seems a bit flustered due to the amount of people. She checked me in and then went to show me the room, I told her I know where it is as I stayed her a few times under the previous owns Sarah and David ( lovely couple). She gave me the key and I went to the room. First impressions, the room was clean, there was a basket of breakfast items, which was no good to me as I am diabetic. There was a fridge on a coffee table with milk, water, yougart and orange juice, this is new, didn't have one when I stayed previously, to be honest I would remove it.
Bathroom, clean, however, there is no waste bin only in the bedroom, which I find not acceptable because if a women is menstrating, one would have to put the towel or tampon in the bedroom bin, I could imagine that would look awful.
No in room telephone
No emergency number incase of any incidents
No cooked breakfast
No security at night
No member of staff early in the morning I.e. 6.30/ 8.00am only a cleaner after 8.00am
I feel the new owners need to improve on what the provide, not worth £80 per night
