The Whiteley Clinic Reviews 

I recently visited the Whiteley Clinic after years of struggling with a debilitating condition: Varicose Veins.

Having long followed the pioneering, specialist work and success of Professor Mark Whiteley, I only dreamed that one day I would find the courage to get in touch.

My first, visit to the Whiteley Clinic in London W1, in September 2022, was a watershed occasion for me.

The extent of understanding, reassurance, professionalism, sensitivity in approach and informative explanation, far exceeded my already high expectations. I felt immediately at ease and in very caring, expert and safe hands. I was fortunate to be under the exceptional care of Dr. Leonardo Monzon and Sonographer, Dr Charlie Harrison.

Following this initial consultation, I arranged to proceed with the advised treatment at the Whiteley Clinic, with optimism and a real sense of trust.

My subsequent treatment has involved 2 surgical procedures: Pelvic Vein Embolisation and Laser Ablation (January 2023). Dr David Beckett performed the first procedure and Dr Leonardo Monzon the second. Both Doctors’ skill, knowledge, empathy and manner were of the utmost, highest standards. Their whole approach made my experience nothing like I had worried it would be.

My recovery has been straightforward and I am now awaiting one further (less invasive) procedure which will complete my treatment.

The Whiteley Clinic ethos and these dedicated, incredible people who are part of it, have given me hope I did not think possible and this applies to every single member of their team. I shall be forever grateful to have been a patient in their care.

from the outset I have been impressed with the Whiteley Clinic.a
Apart from the first impressions of being spotless,well equipped, well lit and aesthetically pleasing.,my wife and I were welcomed,offered coffee and a decent biscuit, and greeted by charming and courteous staff.
My visit was for an appointment to treat the varicose veins in both legs by essetially destroying them.
all procedures were carefully explained, time forecasts were provided, and the Surgeon,Dr Omar immediately impressed with a cheerful and confident demeanour.His team of colleagues,stenographer,nuirses etc were also impressive, and very soon I was. relaxed and receiving treatment.I was kept fully informed at all times of the procedures I was undergoing,The right leg was treated in the morninjg,the left in the afternoon.the whole process. was comfortable,and I experienced very little pain.

From initial scans through to the procedure and the aftercare, Prof Whitely and his team at the Whiteley Clinic are simply superb. The leading edge technology and treatments available (supported by the Clinic’s extensive research and experience) ensured i was in very safe hands. Add to that the patience and kindness in explaining the cause as well as the symptoms and the procedures and answering my questions clearly was outstanding. The follow up care, including a call from a member of staff who attended the procedure the best day to ensure all was well gave the extra bit of confidence that the Prof and his team took great pride in the results and were available to support me if problems arose or i had further questions.

Whilst the bilateral sclerotherapy procedure was performed competently the post procedure protocol is flawed.
I had severe pain following the procedure caused by the development of lesions in both ankles.

Paul Herbert and all the staff at the Whiteley Clinic in London were very welcoming and put me at ease before surgery began. They were professional, informative and considerate at each stage of my procedures, every effort being made to make the experience as comfortable as possible bearing in mind the amount of work required on both my rather ropey legs!
I would recommend their services without reservation to anyone with similar varicose vein problems and have indeed already done so. I am due to return in 8 weeks time for Foam Sclerotherapy and am certain that this too will be a good experience.

The best thing about my operation was that as soon as my operation started I trusted Dr Omar which is probably the most important factor.

Every member of staff from the moment I arrived said good morning and was friendly and supportive. The clinic itself is lovely, clean and the surgery couldn’t have gone better. The duty of care pre, during and post surgery has been amazing. Phone calls, emails to check in and see how I am. Would highly recommend.

Personable but very professional service, I felt comfortable at all times that I was in safe hands. I was talked through the procedure from start to finish and a courtesy call follow up ensured continuity of care.
