I came across the Whitely clinic after extensively researching the various varicose vein treatments available including a local surgeon offering just laser under General anaesthetic!
From the very start, the clinic ( in London) have been exemplary offering total patient centred, evidenced based care in a kind and caring environment . Staff totally put you at your ease throughout. Following thorough scanning I then had PVE for PCS followed by laser and foam sclerotherapy . Prof Beckett and his team weee amazing for the PVE and the treatment has made such a positive difference . Then Dr Leo Monzon and the team undertook all the other treatments . I have returned this year for further treatment for new vein problems and now well in the road to recovery .
I have self-funded all the treatment however the investment is worth every penny to avoid the long term implications of varicose eczema, venous ulcers, potential VTE , oedematous legs, pain extensive nursing dressing input and loss of mobility with increasing age due to untreated Varicose veins ( as I witnessed with my mother in her 80’s- 90’s.TWC are a shining beacon of what healthcare should look like and as a fellow health professional this is what we should all aspire to! A truly heartfelt thank you to you all.

As a 35 year old man, I have suffered since my late teens with brown stained, tired, heavy and itchy legs since my teens without really knowing or addressing the root cause. Living in Canada, I was referred by my GP to a local vascular clinic earlier this year who were quick to assess me (10 minute quick scan) and sell me a treatment option. Dissatisfied, I undertook extensive research for the best treatment options for varicose veins in the world.

I came across The Whiteley Clinic and was immediately impressed by its reputation. In early April, I travelled to the UK and had my initial assessment with Vicky and Dr Omar Abu-Bakr. Right from the offset, I was so impressed with the professionalism, extensive expertise and kindness displayed by them. The whole assessment process was two hours. I learned the outcome of my scan presented a diagnosis far more extensive than expected. I elected to have EVLA/TRLOP and phlebectomy treatment by Professor Mark Whiteley himself and returned to the UK last week to have both legs done across two days.

There are not enough positive words I can use to describe how absolutely amazing the team have been with me over the past week. Professor Whiteley is a brilliant mind and a genius; I’ve learned more about veins than I could ever care to know! He’s also an absolute hoot and quite the story teller; he kept me extremely entertained throughout all three procedures which put my mind at ease enormously.

I’d like to give a very special mention to Amanda who was present for all my procedures. There were a few uncomfortable parts that I struggled with, and she really felt like a second mum in many ways; incredibly kind, caring and compassionate. I really appreciated when she warned me what to expect at each stage of the process.

In summary, if you’re looking to get your varicose veins treated, look no further than The Whiteley Clinic. You will not be disappointed with the care you will receive, I promise you. I will post an update in 3-4 weeks sharing my progress.

I was fortunate enough to deal with both Mr Whiteley & Mr Pankhania during my journey - both were extremely knowledgable and reassuring. The end result was great, and I am so thankful they are pioneering pelvic congestion for men. The clinic itself was also very accommodating, and all staff I dealt with were professional.

From the moment I first contacted them, I explained my healthcare phobia, and their response was genuinely refreshing. Rather than dismissing my concerns, they took them seriously and asked what accommodations would help me feel comfortable.

Throughout my multiple visits for EVLA and foam sclerotherapy, their approach was consistently patient and understanding. The staff explained each step thoroughly before proceeding, gave me time to process information, and always checked I was comfortable before moving forward. They never made me feel rushed or that my anxiety was an inconvenience.

What impressed me most was how this patient-centered approach extended to everyone I encountered there - from reception staff to nurses to specialists. It felt like caring for anxious patients was built into their culture, not just the responsibility of one designated person.

For anyone worried about seeking treatment due to previous negative healthcare experiences or anxiety, I can honestly say The Whiteley Clinic provided the most supportive medical environment I've encountered. They managed to balance professional expertise with genuine kindness in a way that made a significant difference to my treatment journey.

If you're considering them for your care, particularly if you have anxiety around medical settings, I couldn't recommend them more highly!

After living with chronic pelvic pain and pelvic congestion syndrome for over 10 years, I finally found hope and real help at The Whiteley Clinic in London. I recently underwent a pelvic vein embolisation procedure there, and I can honestly say the experience has been life-changing.

My first consultation with Professor Whiteley was in depth with regard to order of treatment and how it was specific to my particular varicose vein problems concerning both legs. Procedures were very carefully explained and emphasis was placed on the absolute need to closely follow post-procedural advice.

Professor Whiteley conducted both the Laser procedure and later the foam procedure and I suffered no adverse outcomes from either. His sound advice throughout proved invaluable as the healing process progressed.

As an 82 year old woman who has had several National Health procedures over the past 40 years which, unfortunately, had only partial/temporary outcomes of short duration, I feel confident that the threat of dreaded ulcers has at last been addressed.

I was very pleased with my treatment from Ashleigh for a number of skin lesions. I was aware that they were too minor for NHS treatment but didn't know that there was somewhere you could go for treatment. I was very pleased with my session and outcome.

Very professional and friendly staff. State of the art treatment, which I can highly recommend to anyone suffering from varicose veins. I have had several treatments both in Guildford and Bournemouth.

I have been treated at The Whiteley Clinic for couple of years. Dr Andrew Willis and his team were absolutely brilliant. I was treated for the pelvic congestion syndrome and had the pelvic vein embolisation treatment. I was also treated for the varicose veins on both of my legs.
All the staff were very kind and welcoming. The professionalism of Dr Andrew Willis and his team is second to none.

Last month, after finding out that I was 5 weeks pregnant, I went to see Mr Whiteley to check on a previous blockage in my veins. The vascular scientist, Hamsa, was incredibly attentive throughout the process. She let me rest for a moment, ensuring that I was feeling well before continuing. She was very kind and professional in her work.

As for Mr. Whiteley, he is an excellent doctor when it comes to insufficient veins. Throughout the consultation, he was highly professional and clearly explained everything, addressing any points that I found confusing. I will be going back to him for surgery on my insufficient veins after giving birth. I feel completely at ease and confident that everything will go smoothly. Mr. Whiteley and his team are amazing!

I had a pelvic vein procedure done in October 2024 with the lovely Dr Beckett. All the staff are just wonderful including Omar and the staff at the Henley clinic. They have also as a team tried to help my daughter who is a very complex case. Prof whitely has corresponded with her personally and this is helping her immensely. Thank you for giving me my life back …

My experience with Dr. Whiteley was upsetting and cannot recommend his services to anyone considering temporal artery ligation. In my case, not only were the results quite disappointing, but it actually made the appearance of my bulging arteries a lot worse. The 'before' and 'after' pictures on his website are perhaps cherry-picked (or even photoshopped). And a rather small sample given his claims of performing 70+ such procedures....

I strongly advise you to do thorough research and explore other professionals with a better and proven track record (most of the other doctors are significantly cheaper, and will re-do the procedure free of charge if the results are not satisfactory).

My experience with this clinic has been a costly, frustrating, and ineffective ordeal.

EDIT: I am indeed a real patient, and given the public nature of this forum, it is entirely reasonable for me to maintain my anonymity, particularly regarding my medical condition. However, your response does not align with the experience I had at your clinic. I am willing to share my 'before' and 'after' pictures with any prospective patients considering this procedure, so they can see for themselves the disappointing results of your work.

SECOND EDIT: I am sharing my concerns publicly because the personal feedback I provided was completely ignored. I reached out to your clinic several months ago to express my concerns about the outcome of the procedure but received no response. If you truly cared as much as you claim, you would have taken the time to investigate further—perhaps by asking for photos or following up in some way—but it seems you couldn’t be less interested. As another reviewer rightly pointed out, your clinic operates more like a money-making business where the patient’s well-being is a distant second priority.

Further clarification for prospective patients: Some of the information provided by this clinic is simply a bunch of lies. Firstly, the follow-up consultation is not free—I was quoted £200 for it (I have proof for that). Secondly, the claim that the corrective procedure is free of charge is another lie. There is no mention of this in the consent form I signed, the letters I received from the clinic, or during the initial consultation. It appears that the clinic provides inconsistent information to suit its narrative.

First class service by both surgeons. Had a consultation with a very friendly member of staff (free of charge) and made the decision to proceed. Had veins removed from my inner legs. A real personal touch and excellent aftercare. Fantastic service and a company I would definitely recommend.

I must be one of the unlucky ones only slight improvement to my ankle ulcer after laser treatment + other treatments to both legs. Staff were very friendly but no resolution of ulcer.

Mr Rocker and the Bristol team were brilliant during my leg vein op. They put me at ease and were skilled, efficient and kind. I am delighted with the results - no more aches, leg looks great. have worn skirts all summer after 20 years of covering ugly legs. Wish I had done this years ago!
