ToursByLocals Reviews

Manu picked us up from the cruise terminal in a nice Mercedes van and to us to Seville. He was very professional and excellent driver. Sandra provided us with a personalized tour. She was very friendly and extremely well educated on her history. Highly recommend Toursbylocals.

Hakan was a wonderful guide in Istanbul. We saw the major sights plus interesting local streets and a restaurant. We all loved the experience.
The tour was easy to book, I had good communication with Hakan, we found the meeting place easily, and the transportation was very comfortable.

We toured Meteora Monasteries with Xenofontas. His employee, Cristiano, drove expertly thru Athens traffic & the 3.5 hours to the monasteries. He was respectful, polite, and insightful about the monastery history. An interesting person.
Now, the monasteries: SPECTACULAR!! The most dramatic natural sites imaginable. Easily as dramatic as our Grand Canyon. Impossible creations by Nature and impossible constructions by humans. Well work the long drive.
Access walks & steps are solid & well maintained and safe.

Nice informative tour

Adriana was very knowledgeable and thoughtful – she also taught us things about the local culture and how to use transport and suggestions for activities on other days - definitely very helpful

We have a fabulous guide, Mike V., who was professional and very knowledgeable. It was pleasant to spend a beautiful day in Rhodes.

Alba was a fabulous tour. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about keeping the history alive and supplemented the tour with additional pictures and information. I would recommend her as a tour guide 100%.

If you want to get a great view into Charleston's history, little-known secrets and character, booking a tour with AL is a must! Together with his skilled driver, he introduced us to Charleston in a highly informed and theatrical fashion. Book it, y'all!

Akira was knowable, easy to work with and a very good value

My wife amd I were lucky to have Demi lead us on a tour to the Forbidden City Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall. She was absolutely on time in a nice audi, and managed everything perfectly all day. She is knowledgeable (if she doesn't have a history degree in practice she has one in reality), human, fun, quick to laugh, and fully committed to making your day a success. We had a wonderful day with Demi and would recommend her unreservedly.

Bob is knowledgeable - easy to talk to guide. A good driver and knows Chicago inside and out!!! He will guide you through Frank Lloyd Wright's neighborhoods in Chicago.

I had two tours with ToursByLocals, and I loved both. Noura was my guide through the shopping experience throughout the old market area of Marrikesh. She was wonderful, engaging, professional and very knowledgeable. Kamal was my guide through the old city and its history. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, professional and friendly. I would recommend Tours by Locals absolutely.

Elena S. provided a great first night in Prague. She started with a stop at a local pub where she taught us all how to drink Pilsner (foam is good). She then toured us through the city showing us the sights at night and sharing legends and folklore.

We had a tour of Calgary with Rob L. He is fabulous!!! Met us in lobby of hotel, sang us a tune with his guitar, and we were off! He knows the city by heart and we loved our experience with him. Highly recommend ☺️👍🙏🏻

Easy to book; communicating with our Tour Guide in preparation for the tour was excellent. Would like tours to include event tickets as well for a more complete tour package. Our Guide Jenny was efficient, courteous, very knowledgeable and GREAT!

Panos was an excellent guide for our visit to the Acropolis. He was exceptionally well prepared and knowledgeable, bringing the history and development of the site to life with engaging explanations.

He was also flexible and resourceful when a local holiday caused some unexpected obstacles during our visit, adapting the tour smoothly.

All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our three-hour tour and came away with a much deeper understanding of this remarkable place. We warmly recommend Panos to anyone visiting the Acropolis!

Supun was amazing. He was very attentive and able to provide excellent activities at each destination. He was able to adapt to our needs and accommodate our every request. He made sure we were safe and happy at all steps of the trip and showed as many beautiful areas of Sri Lanka.
I will be recommending him to all our friends

My wife and I had one full day in Delhi en route to Nepal and Push helped make it truly memorable. After our flight was delayed, Push proactively offered to flex our pick up time to better accommodate our schedule. We had an inspirational visit to Agra to include the Taj Mahal, a carpet making coop and a delicious lunch. The long drive to/from Agra was filled with delightful history lessons and conversation. Push is a consummate professional and his experience shows. I highly recommend him for any of his tours.
