We started to arrange our train trips in China with this company several months before we travelled. It was easier to provide the preferred dates, train numbers and times and they quickly replied, providing information about the timeline and overall booking process. After tickets were released for sale, they were very efficient in keeping in touch and when our first choices of travel times were not available, they provided completely satisfactory, viable alternatives. The trick is to not be too tight with your travel arrangements on the day, giving yourself some room to move when first options aren't possible. Fortunately, there were multiple trains running every day from all the cities we visited. After confirmation by us of the alternative travel option, we received the train e-ticket number, coach number and seat numbers very quickly. Would not hesitate to use this service again on our next trip to China.

This is the second time I've used them for train tickets in China. I was let down by Trip.com who didn't order the tickets on time and I missed the trains I wanted to book. Ordered with China Highlights and had tickets booked immediately. Great service.

Great and reliable service. I purchased tickets for three different cities, and due to a family illness, I had to cancel two of them. The process was quick and smooth, and I received refunds for both tickets without any issues. Whenever I reached out with questions or needed support, their responses were prompt and helpful.

The train booking was initially done by my son but for one journey Hong Kong to Beijing a train was taken out of service on the day of our travel. This was communicated to me and another train the following day was booked.

Use China Highlights regularly and the service is flawless and easy to use. You can request trains as early as you want and then they will try to book as soon as these go on sale 14 days before. If they sell out then they will immediately advise other options (there are usually many).

Easy to book, extremely responsive in replies, highly recommend! Booked 2 separate train rides with them. For the first train booking, tickets were sold out and they emailed me very promptly with an alternative timeslot for my confirmation and they executed the order almost immediately after. Second booking went without a hitch.

We booked our family’s train tickets through China Highlights for our trip from Beijing to Harbin, and the experience was very reassuring, especially as first-time train travellers in China.
