It was very easy to book a transfer through the Web site - and the pricing is clear right up front. The pricing was very reasonable compared to other transfer options we considered. The company followed up with the confirmation email exactly as promised, and even followed up through Whatsapp when I had a problem with my email. The drivers were on time and professional and the cars were clean and comfortable.

Ordered service from Civitavecchia Port to Rome Termini on Sept 26th. Start of the trip was fine as we communicated via WhatsApp. Driver was friendly and he helped with luggage as expected. The problem started as we got into thr vehicle, it was not clean and driver was not professionally dressed, was just an Uber driver as the vehicle had Uber sticker. As we drove, driver stopped to take picture to send to TRC and continued to text and view emails. The car didnt have AC and had to open the windows. As we drove, driver continued to text and look at emails and would slow down to approx 50km and then speed up to 100km. As we got into Rome, driver was aggressive and weave in and out of traffic. Not the best experience, but I guess you get what you pay for since this was the least expensive.

My experience with TRC Transfers was mixed.
As a first-time visitor to Rome, I expected the online booking system to help determine whether my hotel was within the Rome city center. Before booking, I contacted TRC staff by chat and was told that my hotel was in the Rome Centre. They told me to check that option. Unfortunately, when my wife and I arrived, we were informed that our quoted fare was incorrect. Instead of the confirmed price of €114, we were told we owed €160 because our hotel was not actually located in the city center. We later learned that this was true.

Our driver explained that the revised fare was comparable to what a taxi would charge. This was disappointing because we had done our homework and believed we had found a reliable transportation service with transparent pricing.

The driver told us that we would need to pay the higher fare or he would leave.He told us this as we followed him to parking area to get in the vehicle. We responded that we would look into taking a taxi instead. After some discussion, he agreed to reduce the fare to €140. We accepted the compromise and kept the interaction cordial.

Our driver was friendly, and clearly working hard to earn a living. Since the price had increased unexpectedly, he also allowed me to pay by credit card, which I appreciated.

On our return trip to FCO, I asked if I could again pay by credit card because I was running short on euros. I was politely told by company that the return trip had to be paid in cash and that the driver could stop at a bank so I could withdraw money.

Overall, TRC Transfers is not a bad service, and the drivers were courteous. However, I believe the company should provide accurate pricing upfront.

When I made my reservation, I provided both my hotel name and its full address. Based on that information, the correct fare should have been determined before my arrival.

Transportation in Rome is expensive, and my main concern is that the quoted price was changed only after I had landed and collected my luggage, leaving me with very few practical alternatives. I also felt vulnerable when the driver threatened to leave if I did not accept the higher fare. As a first-time traveler to Italy, I was not expecting that kind of experience.
Had the company communicated the price adjustment before my trip, I could have made an informed decision about whether to proceed or make other arrangements. Instead, I received the text message only after I had arrived in Rome.

Regardless of the company’s explanation, I believe the booking app should have detected the inconsistency between the hotel name and address. My hotel is considered to be in Rome, and I did not encounter this type of issue when using Uber during my stay.

I was also concerned about my return transfer to FCO Airport. Because of the earlier pricing issue, I was uncertain whether the company would actually pick up my wife and me. The situation felt awkward, and I only received confirmation by text the day before our scheduled departure. I also requested verification of the return fare and was told it would be €140.

While the transportation itself was satisfactory and the drivers were professional, the lack of pricing transparency and the poor communication significantly affected my overall experience.

Uber is another good transportation option in Rome. I used it several times during my trip and found it to be reliable. While fares can be expensive depending on the time of day and demand, the price shown in the app is transparent and does not change after you book the ride. The app was also very accurate in locating my hotel. Even though there are streets in Rome with the same address, Uber was able to identify the correct location without any problems.

I believe a three-star rating accurately reflects my experience. I'm sorry it isn't higher, but I wanted to provide an honest account of what happened.

I am not someone who regularly writes reviews. I only do so when I believe it may help inform other travelers about a business.

Rather than defending the situation, I hope the company will focus on addressing the issue so future customers have a better experience. The app is not very intuitive for travelers who are visiting from other countries and are unfamiliar with the different areas of Rome. If the company had contacted me a day or two before my trip to explain that my hotel was outside the Rome Center pricing zone, it would have prevented the confusion and unexpected additional charge upon arrival.

My hope is that this feedback helps improve the experience for future riders.

The pickup was timely, professional, and excellent experience.

The driver called me the day before and he was on time. On the way he explained that he would wait for us. The entire trip went without any problems.

I used TRC for 4 transfers during our October 2025 trip to Rome which included a Mediterranean cruise. Communication was clear (prior to transfers and on day of transfer), our driver was punctual and the car was clean. I also found their pricing to be better than a few other transfer companies. I highly recommend TRC!

It was easy to make my reservations. Email communications were clear and timely. My first driver was already at the Rome airport when I entered the arrivals hall. The second driver, who got stuck in traffic for about 15 minutes at the cruise port, stayed in communication with me by phone to provide status. Both drivers were friendly, courteous, and safe drivers. I would recommend TRC.
Note that drivers must be paid in cash, so have Euros ready.

The bookings were simple and quick. The drivers were kind and patient and professional. We traveled with seniors, young adults and had a wheelchair as well. Love italy and its wonderful people. Thank you.

Fantastic service from our hotel in Rome to the Civitavecchia port.

The quality of the vehicles was good, but the price point was high. My major concern is safety and customer accommodation. After clearly pre-booking for a passenger using a mobility scooter, the high vehicle provided was impossible to enter safely. The use of a small, unstable plastic footstool as an 'accessibility aid' was irresponsible and dangerous. Better, practical solutions are required for passengers with mobility challenges." The provision of a station/ estate car would have been better.

The service and communication was excellent. We had Pasquale pick us up in Betolle at 6.20am (10 minutes early) to take us to the Rome Airport. His car was very clean and comfortable and he was very friendly and courteous. Highly recommend this company

Driver texted vehicle information and times on their way and kept in touch for pickup. Used this service for multiple trips in and around Rome and the cruise port, highly recommend commend them.
