Beautiful Peru
We dealt with Arturo from the start- he was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding suggestions for our itinerary. It was thoughtfully planned, with regards to the altitude, with our start in Sacred Valley, and end in Puno, Lake Titicaca. They were always on hand to provide prompt replies to my endless questions. The guides we had in Peru were outstanding and provided us with great explanations and were able to answer all questions. All the hotels booked were great, and some were oustanding. A message was sent every night detailing our next day's trip, and everyone was always punctual and polite. This all helped to make our bucket list trip to Peru one of the best that we have had. We are so impressed with this company, and their attention to a personable service.

A memorable visit to an incredible country
The planning of our trip was fab. However, as we got nearer the trip the support felt more light touch than I was comfortable with. We only had 10 days before we left, but when we went to book seats there were none available in our class of travel, it cost another £2,893 for a flights. This was a massive uplift. Also I had been very clear about being disabled, but our 3rd hotel was on a very steep cliff and I couldnt actually get to our suite. It was a humiliating experience although both Tribes and the hotel tried to make things better with a gesture of good will.
I still give it 4 stars mainly on account of one of our private drivers who taught us more about Costa Rica in 6 hours than we learnt across the entire 10 days. He is a hidden gem. Also all hotels were excellent, authentic in their decor with wonderful personnel.

We’re sorry to hear that a few elements of your trip didn’t meet your expectations. Your booking was confirmed just 10 days before departure, and we worked closely with you during that time to get everything in place as smoothly as possible. Having spoken with our Costa Rica team, I understand you were in contact right up until you departed.
Regarding the flight, I assume you upgraded the flight for that cost? I know you were looking to book extra leg room seats, but unfortunately when booking a trip 10 days out, it makes it much harder to book those seats as they often get booked up early. There would still have been seats in your class, though the airline may have removed the seat map and allocated at the airport, which is out of our control unfortunately, airlines will sometimes do this for very busy flights.
We took your mobility needs into account throughout the planning, and we’re genuinely sorry the final hotel presented an unexpected challenge. As soon as we were made aware, we arranged a complimentary upgrade to a more accessible suite, covered dinner, and offered a spa treatment to try and make things more comfortable.
We always aim to be proactive and thoughtful in our service, and while we regret that parts of your experience caused frustration, we’re glad you still found much to enjoy in Costa Rica. Thank you again for travelling with us – we’d love the chance to help with a future adventure, with your comfort and preferences even more front of mind.

Brilliant organisation from start to finish. Everything worked like clockwork. All the transfers and guides were excellent. The accommodation was top notch. I can't fault Tribes Travel - they made it a really special holiday for us.

Tribes Travel arranged a tailor-made holiday to Peru for us, two friends who had not travelled beyond Europe for decades and needed specialist advice and support. The detailed itinerary included airport meetings and transfers to excellent hotels; Tribes colleagues at Lima Tours provided courteous, punctual and knowledgeable guides who greatly enhanced our appreciation and understanding of the country and its' history as well as past and current political and social developments. A dream Safari holiday in Botswana

Peru adventure with Tribes.
Our Peru adventure was well organised and Lima tour guides were professional and knowledgeable and made our internal flight experience trouble free. Premium economy seats were an unexpected bonus that we hadn't expected. Having not know about Tribes before this trip would definitely recommend them following our experience.

Arturo organised a trip to Peru and…
Arturo organised a trip to Peru and Bolivia for us. Arturo is extremely knowledgeable and knows the country thoroughly. He advised us correctly and the trip was perfect. We did a lot in 20 days and did not have any issues with internal transport both public and private.
The Hotels were good except for a couple which I have made him aware of.
Highly recommend that you use Tribes for your next holidays.

Arturo did a great job of organising this trip
Arturo did a great job of organising our trip within our timescales and affordability. We genuinely enjoyed every day and saw so much wildlife, made possible by amazing guides and a brilliant itinerary. The accommodation booked for us was all lovely with wonderful food. We started in Quito, Ecuador, for 2 nights, where we enjoyed learning about the culture and history of this amazing city. Our 4 night cruise on the Galapagos exceeded our expectations and was definitely a once in a life time experience. Costa Rica was also wonderful with again lots if incredible wildlife. A wonderful special holiday so thank you Arturo and Tribes Travel

Alex was really knowledgeable and listened to our needs regarding our trip to Costa Rica. The organisation was great- we travelled around and every pick up was on time or early with friendly knowledgeable drivers. One excursion was changed because of the weather but we were told in advance and given options. The hotels varied but were absolutely as expected, clean and the staff were all wonderful. Especially Joao at si como no - a real credit. Thanks to Tribes for a fantastic holiday

12 days in Costa Rica
We (father and daughter) booked a 12 day trip to Costa Rica.
I had contacted 5 different agents before the trip with an identical trip plan and Tribes were the only one that really understood what we wanted and who we were (several didn't even reply!). Tribes really tailored the trip to "us".
From start to finish Tribes were excellent. From my initial inquiry to the information provided before and during the visit, everything was correct, easily understandable and detailed enough to know what we could expect. Alex translated our "requirements" perfectly into a trip of a life time.
And the trip. There aren't enough adjectives to describe it 😯 Everything and more than we expected.
I'd definitely recommend Tribes if you are looking for a tailormade trip.

Tailormade Trip to Costa Rica by Andrew Chaundler of Tribes Travel
Our first destination Tortuguero and the Manatus Hotel set a very high bar so we were dubious that the remaining places would compare but each were different and exciting where we saw so much and learned so much the old brain had difficulty in processing it all at times
The organisation was spot on and transfers excellent
We saw more wild life than expected including all the monkey species Turtles whilst snorkelling two humpback whales with calf from the boat returning from Caño Island and on the last hike in Corcovado we encountered a Puma on the trail
A really enjoyable and unforgettable holiday
