It’s the good service for the community

I was kept informed of what had happened with electric and gave a time of when they expected power to be back on

We were very impressed at the speed of UKPN’s response to our cry for help when we found that we had a power failure on Easter Sunday, and how quickly they brought a generator to provide us with electricity while they dealt with the problem.

All their engineers and management were so pleasant, friendly , helpful and efficient, and gave us confidence. The problem they identified was complex, and yet they installed a new cable and had us back on mains power within three days.

The contractors responsible for restoration and reinstatement - Manders and SQS were equally good, and did a good job. At the time of writing this we are just waiting for the final part of the work to be completed, and they are in touch about it.

I have nothing to report as I have had no issues with UK Power

I am working through a solar install at the moment. There have been a few things to do, notably my ancient meter needed changing, as did the tails, and the service head fuse. As each part is owned by different entities, it was becoming a bit of a headache. I had started an application online to UKPN for a fuse upgrade, but couldn't figure the video upload links and left it. I received courtesy call from UKPN who helped me over the phone, sent me an email to allow simple photo uploads, and arranged the fuse upgrade. On the day, the engineer called ahead of time to confirm the appointment, arrived at the planned time, and carried out a very neat and professional upgrade to my fuse and earthing. They made the process so straight forward and simple. Even the G98 and now the G99 is easy to complete with their online portal. In short, outstanding customer service and excellent workmanship. Super pleased. Thank you.

Our power went out due to vandalism in E17 and it affected over 300 homes. UK Power Networks were wonderful: Professional and caring. They updated us regularly and checked to make sure we were okay and did we need anything? Very friendly, helpful and reassuring. I'm very impressed.

I am on the vulnerable list and UKPN
are always helpful if l have a power cut. And they forewarn me of a pending power cut.

We recently had an unplanned power cut and I received a text from a neighbor so I realized it was not just me, so I rang UK Power Networks who were amazingly helpful. I spoke to a man called Scott who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He explained everything in detail and was very helpful and professional. Within a short while the power was restored.

Effective, prompt respectful service by all colleagues. Problem fixed the same day, very happy, thank you.

The communication re the power cut was excellent. I was kept informed of every step of the process, why and where it happened and when it was resolved.

Our village has suffered intermittent power cuts for as long as I have lived there since 2010.

Most times a power cut occurs we receive a generous spike of electricity doing damage to home network equipment and a sensitive NEG microwave oven that has now been repaired 8 times.

On querying UK Powernetworks the issue has mostly been blamed on ancient overhead lines supplying the village.

In all of this time, no investment has been made in new equipment or transmission lines to fix what is clearly an ongoing issue.

Note that according to public sources, UK Powernetworks made over £600million profit and the CEO paid themselves £1.7million.

In the meantime the customers have to fight for a consistent power supply and other than the occasional offer of an inconvenience payment, have to pay out of our own pockets to protect sensitive equipment.

Something is wrong here and I bet Basil S does not face these problems!

Everything was done efficiently and all working well

Very little reason to contact TW, but that matter was well dealt with even if we had to wait a while.
Our supply has been OK but even in an adjacent road there have been several instances of power interruptions or weak power.

Men were very polite and respectful of our property.
On time and cleaned up when done

Polite, helpful , empathetic telephone conversation with updates afterwards throughout, especially amazing as Easter Monday! Realistic timing (up to 4 hours) for service engineer to visit who actually arrived only 3 hours after initial report of issue. He was able to fix straight away by replacing the antiquated fuse, he had a new one with him, which meant I could cook dinner and we could still have our roast lamb dinner, excellent service. Thank you 🙏😊

When phoning I spoke to Lee who listened to my problems and put in a plan of action very quickly. Electrian arrived within three hours and fixed wires and got my electric working quickly.
He did say he would make an appointment for other updating needed but I have not heard anything since, been a few weeks now??
