Horsham store, Kelly (we’re sure that was your name, it began with a K, but it was a Friday afternoon and you were amazing!)

My son and I are doing a half marathon in October and wanted some advice on kit and training. Kelly was so helpful and honest about things, all based on her own experiences and those of club and community runners that she works with. Absolutely first rate service and unreservedly recommend Up and Running to others like me…

I'd used Up and Running the last time I bought running shoes. I had a high expectation and was not disappointed. Richard who served me is a very experienced runner and expertly answered all of my questions. He wasn't 'selling'at all though I was expecting that. He was purely advising and willing to let the sale go if he couldn't provide the shoes I was looking for. This took a while as I tried on about five pairs then ran on the treadmill with the ones I liked. I ended up running with one type on one foot and a different one on the other and am really happy with the choice I made and it turned out they were discounted so I spent about £35.00 less than I expected. There were no other customers so we ended up chatting about running for a while after the sale. His colleague was very friendly too. Couldn't recommend Up And Running highly enough.

I've recently taken up running, and the one piece of good advice I've received was to invest in a good pair of running shoes. Online, the choice is bewildering, so I paid a visit to the Darlington store for some advice. The service I received was exceptional. I was taken through every aspect of what to look for in a good shoe, saw a video of my running style taken on a treadmill, and I tried several pairs of shoes to find the best option for me. A complex subject was made simple because of the knowledgeable colleague (the receipt says I was served by Simon); it's very clear that everyone who works there is a runner who knows about their subject. Absolutely top-class service, and a perfect demonstration of how a high street store can surpass the online experience. I'm very happy with my new shoes, and would recommend this store to anyone.

I had a fantastic experience at Up & Running. Leroy provided outstanding customer service from start to finish. He listened carefully to what I needed and was incredibly patient, making sure I found the right pair of trainers for the gym.
Using the latest foot-measuring technology, he carefully assessed my feet and explained everything clearly. He took the time to ensure the fit was just right and never made me feel rushed. His knowledge and expertise made the whole experience enjoyable and gave me confidence that I was choosing the best trainers for my needs.

We have been shopping at Up & Running in Nottingham for many years and have always had fantastic service. Emma, Rob and the team are always so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, but they are never pushy. The shop carries a great range of products as well.

Sarah at the Chester store was very helpful, as someone who tried running once a year ago, hurt my knee and stopped, she got me sorted out with a decent pair of shoes (Saucony Guide 19’s if you were wondering) after much trying on of various models and running on the treadmill in the shop. I have since completed my first two runs of the C25K program with minimal knee pain and am exited to continue.
Annoyingly, I have since had the trainers advertised to me online at a lower cost than what I paid in-store, but I would say Sarah’s help and advice was worth the small premium paid.

SallyAnn, the worker, was able to analyse my gait analysis within minutes and found 5 pairs of shoes well-suited for my feet. She was so friendly and answered my questions about why I was getting blisters when running. I was able to try all the shoes on the treadmill and I did not feel rushed.
After finding the shoe cheaper online, Up&Running were able to price match the shoe and we got the shoe for a cheaper price.
Overall, very happy with my experience!

I had a fantastic experience at Up and Running, I really really recommend them! I started running about 8 years ago and after my first running club session I quickly learned you can’t run in any old shoe. I lost my last lot of running shoes when I moved house, so I was in the market for some new shoes and came here. Emma talked me through everything in a way that was easy to understand, she checked my gait and explained why a certain shoe would be better. Despite 8 years of running I’m not a pro at all, I’m a very casual runner, and Emma adapted to meet me where I’m at. If you need running gear, go here!

First experience with up & running, Sally Anne from the Nottingham Branch is a credit to your company, so helpful, friendly and shared lots of helpful tips for my Son who is running this years half marathon, will definately recommend to friends & family xx

Quite simply the best team in any sports shop anywhere. Today we were helped by Marine, so knowledgeable, no hard sell, helped make sure the right product was picked even tho it wasn’t the most expensive. Lovely vibe created by runners, for runners.

FANTASTIC service today in the Horsham branch of Up and Running. Gave me the online price for the trainers and even offered I try them at home to ensure they support my current foot condition.

I visited Up and Running in Barnet to buy some shoes.

Shop was great, cool and had a good selection.

Gait analysis was very helpful.

Elena and Tom assisted me, they were extremely knowledgeable, attentive and nice people, was a pleasure to be helped by them.

Ended up trying on and running in 10 pairs of shoes until I made my decision aided by their advice.

Up and running web site & delivery services are fantastic!

I bought the New Balance SC trainer V3 after having the New Balance SC Elite V5.
Really wish I tried them on the treadmill first as the shoes are completely different & after 5k have them back in the box as their unwearable due to the way the plate is set and the toe box is very different.
A waste of £115.00, would have been a great bargain had they been the same as the Elites, #gutted 🥲

Such a positive experience to look for the right footwear and the staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. Marine at the MK store provided friendly support and gave me with greater insight into what could benefit me as a runner. Definitely a place I will come back to for my next pair of shoes!

Visted the Chester store and was a warm welcome from the start, the lady (I think her name was Charlotte)who served us this morning was fantastic and very patient, would certainly go back there
