I’m writing this review to help you avoid the ordeal and hassle that you may experience working with this business. I purchased an engine from ‘Used.Remanns.Com’ over the phone on August 4th, 2021 for my Dodge Ram 1500 5.7-liter truck. Three weeks after I ordered I called to see the status of my order. They said they had no information. I continued call each week to check the status of my order; it was after over two and half months later that I started to hear they were getting the engine palletized for shipping. It took them about three months to get a used engine no requiring any rebuild, and they pushed past their own deadlines and sent me the engine late.

When the engine delivery arrived at the Dodge dealer the mechanic called me to ask if they should accept the engine. He recommended that I do not accept the engine due to the poor condition, rust, and the risk that it could have problems. So I did not accept the engine.

I never heard from the company about getting my refund or any other needed information in the return process. So, after waiting for several weeks I contacted my credit card company to contest the charges. Several weeks after this I got news from Used.Remanns.Com had appealed to my credit card company and filed to contest the refund to my card. They sent a bunch of return and purchase policies to my credit card company to support their appeal that I had never seen. I ended up having to pay Used.Remanns.Com over $1,500 for the engine that I returned and had never accepted delivery of due to the shipping and a restocking fees. So, how am I supposed to know all these policies if Used.Remanns.Com did not have the decency of communicating them with me?

Please stay away, they will do whatever they need to do to not refund your money for selling garbage!

I had the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced with Used.Remanns.Com. I am not only not be buying from this company again but telling everyone I know about them, so they do not suffer as I did.

Used.Remanns.Com has poor quality parts, horrible customer service and communications, and no integrity as business.

I bought an engine for my Ford f150 that was supposed to have 83k miles on it. Got it, looked like someone wiped their butt with it. Mechanic installed it and 2 of the cylinders were low compression; engine totaled plus crank shafts are toast.

This is after they took 3 weeks to deliver it because they were doing such a "thorough" inspection of the engine or probably cutting it out of some piece of garbage at the junk yard (arrived looking like they used a cutting torch on some pieces).

I emailed them and spoke with the motor refund guy and he said "engine worked fine, we have a video of it running". Dude obviously trying to weasel his way out of the refund. I asked him to send me the video with the serial number of the engine in the video to cross reference as well as a test showing compression was good. He didn't address that and said he submitted the claim. I demanded he pay for my 2.3k labor costs for my mechanic to put in the crappy engine and he gave me a number to contact the support person for the labor side of the refund.

I called the refund number and this lady answered and said "we don't refund initial installations of the motor, we only pay for the labor if the motor blows and you have to have a new one installed.”. So now I am stuck with a $2.3k installation bill on top of the $2k I spent on the engine. Too boot, now I have to spend another $1k to remove the installed engine to send back to them to MAYBE get $2k refund. They tell me as well shipping isn’t free if they find anything “wrong” with the engine, which based on all the reviews about their corruption, I am sure they will try to find a way to weasel their way out of paying me the full amount. 

After doing some research I found out that their parent company was sued by the state of Wisconsin in 2017 for ripping people off as remanns.com is apart of a parent company that runs this scam in many different states under many different LLC names. 



STAY AWAY DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM OR YOU COULD END UP IN $4-5K IN DEBT LIKE ME!

I ordered an engine from Remanns and it was received at my mechanics shop damaged. I called them and they set up for a return through Fedex. When they received the engine back, I contacted them about a refund and they said a fraudulent claim was made. The engine was purchased 6/29/22, delivered 7/15/22 and returned about 2 weeks later. I tried to contact them about my refund but nobody wants to talk to me. I finally got hold of Sancho at remanns and he said he was not going to refund the money because my bank said a dispute was filed with my bank but that was a lie. today is 10/27/22 and I did file a dispute with my bank today because they refused to give me a refund. USE CAUTION with this company. They are a big FRAUD.

No explanations, the worst Company in all the categories, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Bought what was advertised as 37k transmission for a 2011 F150. Transmission is no good and repair shop said there was no way that this was a 37k transmission and would not program with the truck. I tried to email, call and even have the repair shop talk to them but they have igorned my emails and won't answer the phone. I am doing a charge back with my credit card company. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Bait and switch. Ordered a 2010 Civic engine with a claimed 56k miles. Received a 2006 that looked like it had 200k and a bad oil leak. Took them three weeks to ship and they refunded less than half the amount after we had them take it back. Bait and switch. Filing a claim with Amex.

1st engine fail no compression and call warrant to replace it… took them 1 more month to resend to my mechanic shop and it was fine but when I ask them for the warranty refund for the mechanic installation , they just play soccer game and said I need to notify the supervisor and they never responded back… it’s been a month past. I have notify them again that I will take legal action against them if They don’t respond back with the refund

Verified purchaser - DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SHYSTERS! ZERO STARS! Purchased a used engine from REMANNS.COM 6-13-22 & it was the absolute WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. The used engine sent was DEFECTIVE enough that the Licensed Auto Repair Facility REFUSED TO INSTALL the engine received from REMANNS.COM. REMANNS "Warranty Department" stated I had to provide PROOF in the form of a compression test in order to receive a refund. I paid the Licensed Auto Repair Facility to perform the compression test - IT FAILED MISERABLY (and without reimbursement)! They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT (contracted out to cs## at autopartsemail.biz), NO WARRANTY DEPARTMENT (contracted out to autopartsemail.biz), NO SHIPPING DEPARTMENT (contracted out to shipping at autopartsemail.biz), & after (at least) 23 emails & phone calls sent to EVERYONE listed above as well as multiple entities @remanns.com has FAILED to have a response as to HOW I CAN GET THIS UNUSABLE JUNKYARD ENGINE OUT OF THIS LICENSED AUTO REPAIR FACILITY - REMANNS IS NOT CONTACTING ME AT ALL as to how to GET THIS UNUSABLE JUNK YARD ENGINE BACK TO THEM. The only thing I can state as a positive toward the USED engine I purchased through REMANNS.COM is that I finally got a FULL REFUND of my purchase price (including core charge) for this UNUSABLE JUNKYARD ENGINE, but the PART STILL REMAINS AT THE Licensed Auto Repair Facility without ANY hope of it being removed by REMANNS.COM. REMANNS is also NOT CONTACTING ME as to IF they are EVER GOING TO REIMBURSE ME for the price I HAD TO PAY for having THE COMPRESSION TESTING DONE. Again, THE UNUSABLE JUNKYARD ENGINE REMAINS AT THE LICENSED REPAIR FACILITY, and it is APPARENT THAT I WILL ULTIMATELY HAVE TO PAY FOR THE JUNKYARD ENGINE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE LICENSED AUTO REPAIR FACILITY! I clearly see that I AM STUCK WITH THE AFTERMATH OF REMANNS.COM UNSCRUPULOUS SALES PRACTICES. Remanns was informed of my negative review - NOT ONE PEEP - They remain SILENT!

Do not buy anything from this company I'm fighting like hell to get them to ship me the transmission that I already paid for over a month ago

This is company is a scam. Send u junk engines and when you try to return they ghost you. They are affiliated with swengines as well. Both companies are one in the same

This company is the most useless company in the world. I bought a used ford E350 from them and didn't read the fine print about the 10 day return policy. I recently called them to check on the warranty policy and that is why I found out about the warranty gimmick
I could tell every person i spoke to there was happy to rub it in my face and i had a sales girl there hang up on me when i was trying to tell her that the overwhelming negative reviews they have. I called her on 888 284 2773 to see if she could reinstate the warranty in case i needed to use it. I called a manager yesterday at 4144352376 and he was so rude also.

I purchased an engine in February, didn't receive it until April. The engine was bad and no one will return my calls. I have talked to the warranty department several times and left numerous messages for Sancho Pike, Customer Service and Warranty Manager and have not received a call back. Now they are saying my warranty is void.

BEWARE, check BBB, this company also known as Remanns, SW Engines, Quality Used Engines, Southwest Engines is under Engine Shopper LLC and has 475 complaints with BBB in last 3 years and 208 in the last 12 months. Read reviews on Trustpilot also. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

I bought a 2003 Honda Pilot engine but they sent me a Honda Odyssey. The engine was malfunctioning so I took it to the dealership to get the engine check. They said the engine was no good and all 6 sensors were bad. The engine came with a warranty but the will not honor it. The supervisor is hiding and will not take my calls. I have been trying to either get it fixed or reund and they will not do either. This company is bad and will send you cheap merchandise hides from you and will not honor the warranty that come with it. Do not I repeat do not buy your engine from here they are bad business and will take your money. They sell bad products and merchandise they will not send you what you ask for and will play games with you. Bad bad bad bad bad

I purchased a motor for an 04 tundra. i recevied it with rust all over the motor, broken bolts, cracked oil pan. I was told it was an exact match for my vehicle. I had to remove and replace so many things from my original motor it was nonsensical. Once the motor was in there was some noise coming from the motor. I contacted the warranty department via email several times and I did not get a response. I put a dispute in with my bank over the charges. THAT is when they decided to contact me. after sending them pictures they denied any wrong doing, then my bank denied my claim due to the rules of their warranty. fast forward 10 months.. the ticking is getting louder and is now a clunking. I record video and send it to the warranty department no response, I emailed several times and received nothing. Then will about 100 miles away the engine stopped running. I contact the warranty dept. I am asked for a diagnostic report. cant to that as the motor isnt running, asked for pictures of the heat tabs. I looked on the motor and there were none, i even sent them original pictures from the motor and asked them to point them out to me. they told me they never installed them. Then after over a week of the run around I am told my warranty is denied due to the act that i disputed the charges when i purchased the motor and that voided my warranty. Here I am now with no truck, no motor no way to work. all i can say is STAY AWAY!!!

I was waiting for my tracking number when the transmission showed up after they promised it went through quality control and it was perfect. The transmission was broken it's been 8 weeks since I contacted them for a refund and my labor for the bad transmission. This company is unreceptive to customer service and helping the people, they do take your money and run!!!!

I you want an engine and customer support DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
They will not ship an engine after you pay thousands of dollars and you cannot get anybody on the phone except sales

I have yet to buy an engine for my 2002 Tahoe Z71, and I had the unfortunate pleasantry of dealing with a guy named Alan, anybody at all who's ever dealt with this guy please email me, david.cothern @gmail.com, My first impression of him was he did not have time for any customer service and he was a complete ducking ashole, maybe it's just me, but he really was a ducking ashole. Even my wife said so because I had him on speaker while we were driving to my job because my truck is down. Just found out that she might be pregnant so this is even better, if there's any good advice out there about this company please let me know because I'm just trying to find a ducking motor to get my truck down the road so I can at least try to start getting the baby room ready I would really appreciate it thanks.

All negative engine only ran forc just 30000 mile phoned remanns to complain waited for remand to honor their warranty was told they would get back to me still waiting . Had to buy another engine . Because my wife is handicapped and needs transportation to her appointments Remanns thanks for the inconvenience. Elvis Jones

Stay away from this company, took forever to get my engine, then when we got it ,it didn't start,had a bad timing chain..never even heard it run..now out of pocket for labor...avoid at all cost

well , like most other folks on this site I really have nothing nice to say about this company. They take your money and then good luck trying to get through to someone to call you back when the product does not arrive on time if at all . We ordered an engine 7 weeks ago and its still not here. The site and company voice mail says its a 7-10 day, that's a joke. We have received notification last night that our engine should be here this week but even "if" that's and "if" it actually gets here we still need to have it installed so more time of being inconvenienced . The excuses we were given for the delay were such crap. So that's at least 7 weeks with no car. We were able to get the name of the shipping Manager Mr.Jones but he never answers his phone or returns calls. I am happy to share that number with you , I had to really dig for it and I call him daily . That number is 414-856-2063. We have his email too it's dale@autopartsemail.
Its concerning that this company has no company directory on line, they have no GM or CEO listed on line either. If you file a complaint with the BBB it needs to filed in WI. I plan on putting this info on every single platform I can to hopefully help other's. The company does have a FB page but this site wont let me link it but you can find it with what I have
typed remanufacturedengine -you can post and type to a representative. I want restitution for the expenses we have had to endure due to their admitted screw up .I really this helps some other poor person. My opinion is that the company sucks.
