Plug plants
I bought plug plants from Van Meuwen, they were delivered swiftly and I potted them on in my little greenhouse, I potted them on until they were big enough to plant out in baskets and pots. Out of 72 they all grew and look fabulous, I've got begonia, petunia and nicotina to name a few. I'm hopeless with seeds and appreciate the little plugs to make fantastic summer displays in my urban garden. Very pleased thank you

Squirrel proof bird feeder.
Waited quite a while for this to arrive but sadly disappointed at the end of the day. It will I am sure be squirrel proof but it has such a miserable capacity that I will be refilling it every other day and the vastly overcomplicated lid design (I know squirrels are ingenious but I don't think it would even occur to them to try and open the lid to get at the seed!) makes this a bit of a chore. Certainly won't buy another one but will have to get someone else's to make up for its small capacity.

I ordered an Orange and Lemon tree…
I ordered an Orange and Lemon tree through Groupon…expecting them to be small and not the best quality because of low cost…how surprised was I to receive two lovely healthy plants…delivered very quickly. I have posted photos of them on our Gardening Club Facebook page as I was so impressed…it is my first venture into Citrus growing …now I just have to nurture them into fruiting…..indoors…in Arbroath, Scotland..

Not good enough
I waited until the end of the first week of July for my hanging basket plants. They arrived in the wrong colour and not even trailing as requested.
In fairness they have refunded me, but it is now too late to find any replacements. Just not good enough, will not use again.

This should be minus 10. Alpine plants arrived. Two in bits. In bin. But they want photos. AVOID this company. Read all the other negative reviews on here. It's obviously an ongoing problem. And note all the replies are generic. Can't even be bothered to personalize replies.

Don't buy any plugs from this supplier…
Don't buy any plugs from this supplier - my argyranthemum plugs that were delivered the beginning of May are still just plugs. I planted them in small pots as soon as they arrived and they have hardly grown. Also the Alstroemeria plugs that I received in May arrived damaged so I asked for a replacement. The replacement eventually arrived, but again they are still not growing as I would expect.

If I could give minus stars I would. The bamboo we paid £50 for arrived almost leafless and very unhealthy. Made a complaint because it was sold as instant impact and website says their plants will arrive healthy and was told “tough” there is nothing we can do. Further complaint and was told to send a message through FB three messages later I am told they have not received. Bad company all round. Will NEVER buy from again.

“Quality gardens at everyday prices”…NOT!!
“Quality gardens at everyday prices” REALLY?!! I ordered 72 plug plants and only 14 have survived !! They arrived looking nearly dead but I gave them a chance to revive and planted them. After complaining to Van Meuwen, all I got back was a general email and a refund offer for £4.72. They have all but ignored my issues with the quality of their products and I would never order from them again or recommend anyone else to. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Absolutely useless company…
I have been a customer for many years of Van Meuwen and order plants every year. This year I placed an order on 25 February and was advised that my order would be received by the end of May. The money was debited through my Paypal account and I emailed Van Meuwen earlier this week to enquire when I might be receiving my order and they have replied today that they have no record of my order and according to them I have not placed an order since last year! I am absolutely gutted as these were plants I order every year to plant at the family graves and to say I have not placed an order since last year when I have a confirmation email from Van Meuwen with an Order No and they took payment for this order through Paypal on 25 February well it just infuriates me! This is not the first time I have had problems with Van Meuwen but it will most definitely be the last as I will never ever order again from them!

Shocking !! 0 STARS !!
I’ve just received 2 Wiegala Towers of Flowers pots from this company via Groupon - naively I didn’t read the small print and the photo on the Groupon site is misleading as it shows what the plants grow into - I tried to stop the order literally 5 mins after I placed it but no joy - the plants arrived this afternoon, dry and half dead, I’m 52 and have more life in me than these 2 ridiculous excuses for a pot plant - DO NOT ORDER from this company, you have been warned !! Luckily I only wasted £13.50 but wonder how many others have done the same ?!

Nurseryman’s choice geranium collection
Ordered geranium collection. The names of the geraniums were wrong The one labelled balcony red was obviously a hardy geranium and not balcony red ( I have grown this variety for years) I hope nobody puts it in their basket. Others were wrongly labelled geraniums that I know are ivy leaf labelled on zonal sand so on. I rang customer care and they couldn’t tell me the correct names. I received ten correctly labelled geraniums of one variety in compensation which only confirmed the incorrect labelling of the previous order.
The plants are quite good but for me are useless without the correct names

Items arrived almost dead
Items arrived almost dead, soil everywhere, no care for how they were packed. Ordered 2 items, only was told it would take 2 months to ship one after I'd purchased. They then posted a different plant after a 2 month wait saying they had some bad crop. The note in the box said they had enclosed a £5 voucher.... No surprises to say no voucher included. Avoid unless you like disappointment
