We had a great experience with Vidahome Loan. Once all the required documents were submitted, they progressed our case very swiftly and kept things moving without unnecessary delays. The valuation was carried out yesterday, and we were pleased to receive our mortgage offer today. The process was efficient, well-managed, and reassuring throughout. Highly recommended.

Applied a Right to Buy Mortgage over 8 months ago with vida home loan and today they refused our mortgage by their underwriter the reason for decline the mortgage is because their were no sale in that block for the passed 5-6 years thats the reason for the mortgage decline this is a reddiculs reason we ever heard that a mortgage could decline if no sale were go through in a block the survey report was ok we paid survey fee & application fee mounting to nearly £700 pounds and now they are saying this is the issue for the mortgage decline no wonder they take all the fee upfront and rip you off with these extortion fees i am going to complain to FCA for the return of our survey fee and the application fee this company is disgraceful in ever corner and responding to a inquiries it take ages for them to get back seems like we are in stoneage Waiting & waiting for an update and then they make any sort of reason to decline your mortgage when we applied they said it will take 4-5 weeks from start to finish and after 8 months the decline our mortgage

Application submitted and offered with Vida. I find their system easy to use and the underwriter contacted me by phone to go through any queries they had. Underwriter on this case was Patricia Muller who I can't fault. really happy with the service and the outcome

having done a "early product switch", advised by vida, rates have come down significantly. standard practice says that you can switch to another product if you have not yet completed the deal. Only NOT with vida. they will not allow a switch to an updated product even though we have not yet completed the earlier deal...

App to offer quick and with no fuss whatsoever. Clear underwriting requests and fair timescales. Our underwriter Barry was quick to to answer questions and to pick up the phone if he had any queries rather than ping ponging emails back and forth.

As a broker using VIDA for the first time my experience could not have been better. Great service from Vida this week. The application was submitted on the 28th of January, valuation done on the 3rd of February, and then offered on the 4th of February. No nonsensical questions. I am really impressed with the service received. Thanks a lot.

I'm a mortgage broker and I have to be honest, I have used Vida a few times in the past, which was generally a pretty awful experience, and normally led to a decline even through the clients met Vida's criteria, and I have been avoiding them for quite a while. However something seems to have changed, I placed 2 mortgages with them recently which only Vida would accept and the service has been amazing, and both cases were offered very quickly. Both of the underwriters Andrea Blane and Zoe Fidler were brilliant. I'm surprised to say this, but I will definitely use them again. Whatever you have changed in the background has made a massive improvement.

Fast and efficient once case submitted - Barry the underwriter went to offer in 4 days - valuation was quick - would have got 5 starts but calling through to the hub can take a long time on hold.

Barry Lindsey has been the underwriter on my case. Application submitted on 14th Jan and offer issued 16th Jan. I cannot fault the efficiency of Barry who made a point of ringing me to let me know the case had been offered. I will definitely be using Vida again.

Having been refused at the last moment I wrote a review on how this company had handled our application from start to finish and how it was a very traumatic time. The complaints team were going to investigate our concerns and they were going to get back to us. 8 weeks down the line and not a peep. The communication with this company is shocking and leaves a lot to be desired. Mixed messages and it appears stressed out underwriters who have yet to advise us or the broker with a clear and transparent reason why we were declined.
Seems like a blessing in disguise as I’m sure a chocolate teapot would be of more use.
