Ordered Monday, arrived Tuesday evening. I only ordered dry goods and stuff in jars, so I can't speak for what delivery of fresh goods is like, but certainly there's no problem with non-perishable ite... Toon meer

Have been using Wanahong for 3 years

Have been using Wanahong for 3 years, always reliable and on time. Delivery guys are as polite as 5-star hotel concierge, which is extremely rare in the UK if you think about DPD… Had multiple orders with them and they always packed everything so nicely, never had any issues on product damages. One thing I really appreciate is that even though they have certain delivery days of the weeks for various areas, they would arrange an ad hoc delivery to you if their slot is full. So you don’t need to wait for another week.

Product assortment is also very good with wide variety. You can find high quality condiments, snacks, noodles etc made in all over Asia such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea. For people who yearn for Asian taste and care about food quality, this is the place for you.

I highly recommend Wanahong.

I was disappointed with how this issue…

I was disappointed with how this issue was handled.

I ordered some groceries from Wa Na Hong and one of the canned food items arrived noticeably dented. The damage was clearly visible upon delivery, so I contacted customer service and requested either a replacement or a refund.

Instead of addressing my concern, the company referred me to its own policy, stating that dented cans are still safe to consume and therefore no compensation would be offered. While that may be the company’s position, I do not believe an internal policy should automatically override legitimate customer concerns about damaged food packaging.

As the matter could not be resolved directly with the retailer, I had to raise a dispute with my credit card provider. After reviewing the evidence, including delivery photos and images of the damaged item, the credit card company ruled in my favour and issued a refund.

This review is not to say that the company is entirely bad, as I have previously purchased from them without major issues. However, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and customer care shown in this situation. When food products arrive damaged, customers should not have to rely on a credit card dispute to obtain a fair resolution.

Based on this experience, I would think carefully before ordering again.

We placed an online order and received…

We placed an online order and received it on 13th January. Last night, while cooking, discovered that one item had been mistakenly sent instead of what I actually needed (the packaging is very similar). However, customer service told me there was nothing they could do.

Great Service!

I am so impressed with this company..... I made an order and the very next morning it was delivered by the most charming and smiley man...

The products look great and I can't wait to get cooking!!!

From finding goods on the website to delivery was so easy and five star!!!!

I was tempted to travel into China Town to visit a grocery store but I'm glad that I didn't.

I will definitely be ordering from WaNaHong in the future!!!

Refuse to replace or refund for damaged goods

I’ve purchased a lot of canned goods from this supermarket. Sometimes they sent me items in dented cans. I didn’t complain in the past because it’s only slightly dented.

However, I’ve got a seriously dented canned food at this morning. Actually, the can is nearly broken! I wrote an email to ask for refund or replacement, they replied me it’s not their fault and asked me kindly consider before purchase!

I would never buy anything from this shop again!

Pretty toxic customer service

Pretty toxic customer service. Received Vita lemon tea having expiration date less than 3 months. Contacted CS but got a reply that for this item it's normal. Where on earth have you seen that such a long shelf life product, to be expired in few weeks?

Been a regular customer, but I am now decoupling myself with this grocery shop. Luckily it's completely viable as most of their items can be found in another grocery shop as well.

I am a usual customer but for last purchase that is disappointed, I found there's a missing item- Japanese chocolate cake £4.29 therefore sent email and asked for refund in March, 6 2025 , till now still no response. really bad customer service and I lost 4.29 by this reason.

Rogue trader avoid

I thought to give this supplier a try as we buy Chinese grocery's every month. I placed quite a substantial order which arrived on time and was impressed by the careful packing. However a can of abalone was badly creased (dented) so much it could only happened with a hard impact (almost look as if someone had hit it with a cleaver). We I contacted customer service I received a rudely email to say that the goods were fit to eat even though it was seafood and no replacement or refund would be offered. When opening the can of abalone it was starting to deteriorate inside. So for poor customer service they have lost what could have been a regular monthly customer! Avoid this rouge trader

I recommend this online oriental food shop. They've got some good prices on noodles at the moment and the delivery and all related communication was excellent.

I placed my order last night around midnight, and they delivered my order before 2pm today! What a wonderful and speedy service they have!! Great thanks to their team! I recommend their store! They have a big range of products online! I am totally happy with the products and the service! 🥰👍

Ordered frozen items

Ordered frozen items, arrived partially defrosted, got ill when consumed it.
WaNaHong takes no responsibility for their bad packaging. They also charge 7GBP for the ice that did not stop the frozen items to get defrosted. I wouldn't trust this company to supply me with food.
Costumer service was polite, but not helpful.

Disappointing Customer Service Experience

I've been a repeated customer of WaNaHong, choosing their products despite slightly higher prices because of their perceived quality and service. However, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed. Upon receiving my order, I discovered two dented cans. When I reached out to report the issue, hoping for a resolution, I was met with a dismissive response. Despite acknowledging the problem, they refused to offer any remedy (no refund/ no replacement/ no exchange), blaming the defect happened in transportation and citing a disclaimer buried in their website's fine print. Disappointed with their lack of empathy and unwillingness to resolve the issue. Think twice before shopping in a company that disregards its loyal patrons.

Very dishonest customer service

Very dishonest customer service. They promised a few times to collect three bottles of chemically tasting drinks "for analysis" but did not turn up after a week and putting all blame on ParcelForce.

I explained to them the first bottle of plum juice (I bought 4 of them, each costing £5.35) was opened for consumption but I didn't drink it as it smelled like petrol, so I opened second one to check, but it smelled the same. Then the seller insisted they can only refund the unopened ones and asked me to keep whatever that was opened for collection and analysis. After I firmly pointed out that there was definitely something wrong with that batch of juice, they reluctantly offered cash voucher to be used for next purchase like some kind of charity to the customer.

Very disappointed and unsatisfactory shopping experience.

Amazing shopping experience

Really good shopping experience. The online storefront is pretty easy to read with proper classification, what I like the most is their after-sales services. They will send you sms and email to keep you posted re order status and delivery date. Don't have the need to chase the merchants and complete visibility of the arrival date of my groceries. Another thing is, the delivery speed (from the date of order) is just super! Recommend.

Stratford shop do not follow consumer rights

Went to their shop in Stratford. Accidentally bought a £48 item & asked for a refund within the hour. The shop keepers both argued and made up many excuses and refused.

They broke their consumer commitment as below:

"All claims for damage or shortages must be notified to our office within 48 hours of delivery. We are happy to exchange or refund goods returned in saleable condition with the invoice within 7 days. Refund may take 7-14 working days depending on the card issuing bank of the customer. Exceptions apply. Statutory rights not affected. "

Traumatic experience for us despite it being a store we frequented happily before.

We would have liked a full refund.
