On Tuesday 8th Julythe most exciting day out Ever.
On Tuesday 8th July, my husband and I visited Warwick Castle, we had the most enjoyable time, there.
On our arrival it was suggested we take the minibus that drove us to the entrance of the Xastle. The team that welcomed us, were perfect, walking up the path, we were surrounded by music, laughter.
Directions could be seen pointing us in every direction from Resataurant & Toilets, the. We were led to a Demonstration of Joustin to a display of Falconry
The Jousting was a history of the wars of the Roses and how the Tudor Family came t be. Fantastic, but it was the the Falconry Legend, that was so amazing, we would go back just to see this sight again.
It was the story of Hoppy who wanted to be Head Falconer, but, he had to bring the big Raptors back to the castle.
So began the most amazing adventure, we travelled around the world, from the Andes, here we saw the Andean Condor. Then to North America and the Bald Headed Eagle flew overhead, then the Eagle Owl filled our eye vision. For over an hour the skies abo
Be us were filled with the sounds of wings, on the ground the surprised excited scream of children, enjoying the birds above and around us.
An experience not to miss, an Adventure you could not surpass.
In all our visit to Warwick Castle, was the most delightful - ever
No child and OAP ticket discount
I haven’t been yet. But when attempting to buy tickets have seen that adults are categorised as 3-99 years old, with no discount for kids or seniors. Since when was a 3 year old an adult??!
Sorry, but these places are a part of our own heritage and we ALL own it. By all means charge entry for the upkeep, but there should be a reasonable discount for young children and OAP’s. Parents should be able to take their kids for an educational day out without needing a loan.
Me and the wife went in March for a…
Me and the wife went in March for a weekend so we thought we come back later in the year with the family so we booked for the family cost us £800
when we got there was no biscuits in the room there was no fried eggs at breakfast because the reason was they hadn't got capacity no stock
No biscuits in the room they said because was out of stock because we was staying in the hotel that we would get the entry to the castle for £7.50 but was misled because you only got it for £7.50 if you book for two days to go into Castle so it cost us £20 per person to enter the Castle I think its overpriced all the meals on site are expensive and drinks
Good attraction, terrible food, expensive parking.
We paid £26 per adult which seemed fair as there was a lot going on, but if you pay on the gate it's £39, and it's not worth that! We also felt having paid £52 between us that it's a bit cheeky of them to charge £7 for parking on top!
The jousting was excellent, castle interesting to look round, nice grounds etc. Lots to do for children.
The one thing we felt really let it down was the food options - it was very busy, yet more than half the takeaway outlets were shut. There were no tables left on the terrace, and no sandwiches left inside. It was an exteremly hot day, so we didn't really want fish & chips, so we eventually went to the Undercroft where they were only serving breakfast rolls and roast dinner wraps. We paid £21 for two mangy pre-packed baguettes, 2 packets of crisps & a bottle of water.
Complete ripp off
Idiot at the dungeon needs to be sacked extremely rude and spoilt the whole experience, other staff were extremely helpful and happy, war of the roses and the bird show were good, we stayed at the hotel and Breakfadt was appalling would not recommend it
And the cream tea.. What a complete rip off, we had a costa latte, one sandwich each, 1 scone each and 4 tiny stale mini cakes for £64! Complete rip off the staff never came back to ask if we needed anything else..
If your going just but a tea cake and scone seperate
We complained to customer services and seemed to get a cut a paste response so sorry please come back and be ripped off again
It's a tourist trap place
Take your own food and drinks
Entertainment staff, 100% great. Food very expensive £5.00 for a cheese sandwich. Adults had a stuffed Yorkshire pudding wrap, with loads of roasted potatoes(hot) only one person eat the wrap absolutely stone cold and disgusting. They had a shop on site, advertised a board book for £6.99 and said no it is £7.99 would not sell the book for £6.99 advertised. Member of staff very rude about it.
We went a family of nine adults and one child. Very expensive day out.
The talks by the very experience guides…
The talks by the very experience guides were fantastic- Andrew was entertaining and factual!
The shows were good too - the birds of prey was fantastic
had a fantastic time
would highly recommend
What a great day we had
What a great day we had. We went to the castle as a mixed bunch, we had disabled people who were fabulously looked after. Tour guide Andrew was amazing. Passionate about the castle and a true a gem.
Disgusted
4 days before their visit this week, my family were informed that Zog Playland won't be open for 2 days, due to maintenance. This is on one of the days they are purposely driving 2 hours to take my 2½ year old grandson, who adores Zog and playgrounds, of course. The maintenance work is perfectly understandable for safety reasons, but when enquiring about changing the date, they were told to pay more as peak season. The alternative of going the next day when reopened would mean the cost of another day's entry for them all! No compensation was offered for an unavailable activity, which a toddler would have enjoyed. I appreciate the upkeep of all activities and the castle itself, is expensive, but even a free ice cream voucher each would show some consideration for customers. Obviously this is not the case. Disgraceful way to treat people.
Everything about food the castle and grounds…
Everything about the castle and grounds very nice but the food rip off got charged 24 pounds for 2 hot drinks and 2 doughnuts. Tainted the day. Its either the price or staff over charging.
Not happy to pay £7.00
Not happy to pay £7.00. to park our car after paying £22:00 per person to get in to visit the castle. No information about extra parking fee when booking tickets for the castle. No discount for over 65 why?.
Shocking Customer Service & No Response…
Shocking Customer Service & No Response to Complaint
Upon arrival, we decided to eat first—a decision we deeply regret. After queuing for 30 minutes, we were told this was the only place to eat in the castle. We placed our order, expecting to wait 15-20 minutes for drinks while food and cakes would be ready immediately. This was completely untrue.
After 20 minutes, I politely inquired about our cakes as my husband needed food before taking his medication. The staff member—who was rude from the start—ignored me. When I returned 10 minutes later to follow up, she became aggressive, pulled faces, and shouted at me, making us feel completely humiliated. Other customers who ordered after us were being served while we continued to be ignored.
At 40 minutes, when I questioned why we still had no food, the same staff member rudely told us to leave if we weren’t happy, saying she “doesn’t care.” We left feeling utterly disrespected but demanded a refund—only to have the staff at the till try to short-change us and crush our receipt when we insisted on the full amount.
To make matters worse, we were falsely told there were no other food options in the castle, which turned out to be a blatant lie. We wasted over two hours dealing with rude, unprofessional, and dishonest staff.
I sent a formal complaint via email expecting a response, but Warwick Castle clearly does not care about addressing customer issues, as I received no reply at all. Absolutely disgraceful service—avoid!
Poor attitude will lose customers 🤷♀️
Due to Storm Darragh on Sat Dec 7th, Warwick Castle eventually cancelled their Christmas “Light Trail”, but with less than 3hrs notice.
Their website said their “team” would contact ticket holders but they didn’t.
Placing our own refund request, we were told it was sent to their finance team but could take up to 21 WORKING days… i.e up to one month… we were actually refunded (after chasing them again) at 17 days… awarded £17.50 x 4 …(we were sure the light trail price was definitely £22 on the day). Better than nothing, but this difficult and protracted refund saga means we will not pay to visit Warwick Castle ever again.
Needs a complete re-think!
If your noise sensitive don’t go!
Everything played though speakers is unnecessarily loud! Unbearable! Santa and the elves amazing but Santa was even too loud in a small intimate setting…. Autistic son suffered a lot from this, we also couldn’t bare the noise and too many people crammed in - very over priced for what was there and what was there you pay extra for at every point even parking £7!!!!
Toilet’s by the cafe - in the men’s they have a baby change to my horror my husband had to change my daughter with a pull down by the urinals - how indiscreet and horrible.
Play park only good for 2-3 year olds and too small for amount that visit at the weekend, overpriced and just poorly executed.
We will never go back - thankfully Santa and elves made it not a complete waste.
An expensive but enjoyable experience
We recently had a day out at Warwick Castle and booked tickets via their website. Although quite expensive, we really enjoyed the experience of seeing the castle for the first time. It was quite busy but we managed to see both falconry shows which were fantastic. Charlie, the falconer, was excellent. He kindly answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable ensuring everyone got to see the magnificent birds. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Overall felt too commercial
Overall felt too commercial, overpriced food and poor quality, bizarre and rude interactive mummy trail in castle, castle itself very limited to view, presumably due to Halloween event. There was little there that we could not do at a good fete or country show for less money and more to do. The history of the site was lost on the commercialism. Best thing was falconry display and the kids enjoyed the playground. No jousting on the day or if it was on, where was it??? Signage and timings poor. Extra £7 for parking. I went with my 2 grandchildren and the whole day cost over £100 with expensive and weak food. Disappointing. Will not be returning or recommending.
Be very careful booking this
Be very careful booking this , they messed up our booking and now have taken £50 off us when we decided the best thing to do was cancel or they would have charged us £400 extra to change the date , contact and customer service is an absolute disgrace !! Awful business !!
Unhappy visit turned into a fantastic day!
I booked day visit tickets via the Warwick Castle website for my South African Mum (80yrs young) and I. I was so excited to show her around as she is on holiday and has never been inside a castle before in the UK. Once we arrived we saw the falcon show and visited the great hall and royal weekend party which was fantastic but we were incredibly disappointed to hear that many exhibits were closed due to Halloween. There was no warning about this on the website when I booked the tickets. We relayed our feelings of disappointment to a gentleman named Andrew who listened to what we had to say and then suggested we meet him hallf an hour later and offered to show us some areas that were closed. He was so kind to us and shared many interesting historical facts - all laced with his fantastic sense of humor! He took the time to give us a personal mini tour and make our visit enjoyable which left us leaving Warwick Castle with smiles on our faces.
I cannot thank Andrew enough for going the extra mile for us, a big thank you!
Big family day out for our…
Big family day out for our granddaughter's 7th birthday. The castle, birds of prey and the dungeon especially were excellent. The dungeon experience was worth the entry fee alone!
Just had an amazing day at Warwick…
Just had an amazing day at Warwick castle with family. The dungeons were brilliant. The actors and the sets were so good that my 11 year old daughter had to leave after room 2 as she was so scared, but that's the idea so please don't tone it down. The falcony show is an absolute must, not just someone standing talking about birds but a proper show with a story, dramatics and magnificent birds flying so low over the crowd that feathers brush your head. The falconers must work so hard to get the display so good. Thanks
