Dealing with them is like trying to herd cats.
Despite sending photos of the watch and answering all questions that were asked of me, Watches of Sutton will find 1001 reasons and excuses to reduce the value of your watch to the extent it is worth nothing so they can sell it on at a hefty profit.
My Panerai GMT (complete with box and all papers) is worth an average of £4400. Watches of Sutton offered me £2600 and then came up with a multitude of excuses to try to reduce the valuation even further. One example was to say that they needed to reduce it even further as the watch did not come with a screwdriver.
I do not accept for one minute that it costs £1800 for a replacement watch strap and buckle!
Trying to obtain a definitive valuation from them was impossible as they wanted to keep the door open to keep reducing the amount. Dealing with them is like trying to herd cats.
They will start at a rock bottom price and then find every reason under the sun to lower it even more.
I will not be caught up by their shady practices and will sell elsewhere.
I am sure Watches of Sutton will try to justify their actions with spurious false claims. I was not rude. I simply highlighted that I found the way they did business was very unprofessional. They did not like that.

Thanks for leaving a review, however this isn't the full story.
Firstly, you described your watch as complete and I gave you a price. Only after checking with you about the Panerai buckle type it has (deployant or tang), you then reveal it doesn't come with a genuine Panerai buckle. Obviously, this will have a bearing on the price. Shouldn't this have been disclosed at the start, rather than saying it's complete?
I then find out it's missing another item that certain Panerai models should come with, and by this time I'm losing confidence in the owner of the watch. When we advertise a watch for sale, we list everything it comes with, so buyers understand what they’re buying. We don’t use a general description and then fail to disclose important items that are missing / incomplete. As I’m raising the above issues, the owner is getting rude, so I politely suggest he find another buyer (only next time please be open from the start).
Finally, your watch comes fitted with an aftermarket strap and the original strap in worn condition (at least you were upfront about this). It’s not fair or appropriate to compare the trade price of your watch to the retail price of others with all genuine Panerai items in better condition.
