Have never experienced such POOR customer service,,waited nearly half hour at the click and collect,,watching as others just abandoned trollies full of materials and left in disgust. The ONLY member of staff that seemed interested, was a young lad stocking shelves who apologised for the long queues,,,,for god sake make that lad a manager, as the so called ones in charge had NO, idea what they were doing .!!!. Needless to say,gave up and took the business elsewhere. Just avoid the place and shop elsewhere would be my advice.

This is more about the home delivery service than the store. Being disabled i require more time to answer the door. Although I made wickes aware of this. It has become obvious that they haven't informed the delivery service as the delivery drivers just dump the goods on the garden and go. Leaving me to have to arrange for someone to move it within reach for me(by door).

We visited Wickes Basingstoke for a kitchen design consultation, which took over 30 minutes with one of their kitchen designers.
To our shock, we later received a £100 parking charge notice. It’s unbelievable that genuine customers are treated this way while spending time planning a purchase in-store.
This has left a very negative impression, and honestly makes us not want to return again. Very disappointing customer experience.

I went to Wickes Basingstoke for a bathroom, they charged me £100 for the car park!!! They give you a meeting and then you get an automatic parking charge!!! very unhappy that this was not explained by Wickes, if this is how they treat thier customers I will go elswhere.

I like wickes and use it quite a bit along with my local B&Q.
Went in to my local Basingstoke store today to get a couple of lengths of timber. No loose timber on display but plenty of packs which staff are usually happy to open. Today, a busy Saturday, I walked round the store for a good few minutes and not a single staff member on the floor to be found so I decided to leave. Admittedly you had 2 checkouts staffed today which is not usual for this store but I counted 10 people queueing to pay. Other than the checkout staff I didn't see any other staff available. Very poor show for a busy Saturday but usual during the week as well.
I went to B&Q which was also extremely busy. In and out in 5 minutes. Plenty of queues yes but all moving and I counted 8 staff persons on the checkouts.
Wickes, you need to be doing better. You are losing customers and sales due to very poor customer support.

One member of staff Liam Easton went above & beyond to help me in the Basingstoke branch today. I had a problem with the trolley situation in store due to a lack of flat bed trolleys, so reluctantly I had to use a normal store trolley for my purchase of slate & edging materials. Not ideal.
Then when I went ro return the trolley, they were all snarled up and I was unable to return it to get my trolley token back.
This was now a matter of principle as every time I use the store, there are never enough trolleys, so I complained to Liam Easton.
Throughout he was professional, courteous, calm and incredibly helpful, despite him being very busy and constantly being radioed.
We sorted the problem & I have to say, Liam did a superb job with his customer service.
I've coached customer service for over 40 years & his professional attitude was great & restored my faith in using the store again.
Thank you Liam - I hope your bosses get to see this review..

Ordered online as our local branch did not have the quantities of items we wanted. Half was sent from our local branch the remaining was from a branch 10 miles away. Only local was delivered the other they have tried to deliver twice now awaiting a thurd attempt but as with most businesses we open at 8 and close at 5. On both attempts they tried to deliver was after 6pm despite telling them our opening hours. Their delivery slot is 7am to 7pm. Fine if you are having delivered to home but not good as a business. Also timber was bent like a bananna.

Following your re booking of our delivery supposedly for Thursday 2nd I got a message at 18.23 on that Thursday saying my order was on its way.
When I’m tracked the order and it said it would be with us by 1900. 7 pm. So from Basingstoke to us within just over half hour. Then I got a red note show up saying I had cancelled the order.
I went into Wickes Winchester on Friday. They called Basingstoke and Basingstoke called me to tell me my order had left on Thursday and was in progress of being delivered.
I was offered to cancel my order which I did not want to do so they said they would speak to the delivery guys Monday and get back to me.
They have not and we still have no delivery.
We have been told that deliveries have been attempted but we have CCTV and know that they have not come to us.
This is getting beyond a joke and we expect better form such a large company.
Still have not received our order in full after nearly two weeks and a lot of frustration. We have been told that several deliveries have been attempted.
We had agreed the goods could be left secure and had put a note on our door reconfirming where they should leave the order.
We do not believe they have come to us at all and we are being misled.

As someone with not much DIY experience I was very helpful with the service Erdogan and Mark provided.
I came in to do some wall panelling and painting but had no idea where to start and what would look good, and there were so many options I kept going to and fro them all, and what would be a good look and colour to my new house and what I would need for the project.
That's when Erdogan noticed me as he was cleaning the area and asked if I needed help. He asked me all the right questions with lighting and area and what tools I needed, who knew all you needed was some panel adhesive and then the panel itself. (I thought you had to nail it on so thank goodness he told me that was unnecessary).
I then asked him about paint options but he told me that he wouldn't be the best to ask about correct paint, so told me to speak with Mark in the paint aisle.
Mark was very candid in his opinion of paints and what he thought would be suitable, which I appreciated. He told me what would be essential for the job and how he would apply it.
I left the store 100% knowing I'll come back to ask for more advice and get my house looking more like a home.
