Wickes - Maidstone Reviews 

So how about this for service. Spoke to a kind gentleman employee at Maidstone Wickes yesterday (10/03/25) about the 20L barrel of light brown creocote. He said none in stock and hard to get hold of but I’ll have a check about for you. Found one at Erith Wickes. Hold on he said the manager of Erith lives in Maidstone so I’ll ask him if he can pop one down. A few hours later I get a call that they have it at the Maidstone store and will hold it for me pending collection. I go there tonight and Tracy has it behind the counter ready for collection. That’s what I call service Wickes. Well done to all three of the staff and thank you.

I visited Maidstone Wickes week ago, maybe 10 days, Gentleman by name Jim was very helpful and extremally friendly to me and my 2 children, he helped me with my stuff in to my car. I really appreciate people like Him. Many thanks Lucie

Service with a smile. Everyday work is enough of a chore without grumpy people. I use Wickes in Maidstone and the staff here are always helpful and happy to do so. Take Jim on the tills and you will see and man happy to help with a massive smile. keep up the good work.

I had had a frustrating day to say the least and was in need of more materials but it was schools out and didn’t fancy trip into Maidstone but when I got to the till it got better with a jovial bit of banter with your colleague Jim. Keep it up Jim good old fashioned customer service puts a smile on faces

Clean tidy store. All staff are helpful and welcoming. At the till this evening with staff member Jim. Nice guy asked how our day had been and wished us a good evening.

I have a leak under my shower still under warranty
I have contacted the warranty department who by magic say it is not under warranty although I have paperwork saying 2 years
I have spoken to the local store salesman who agrees with me, but after 4 days has still not back to me.
I rang the complaints department today, who do not deal with this complaint?

We are thrilled to bits with our new Heritage Sage Wickes kitchen. A fabulous design by Matt Nowotny from our local store in Maidstone Kent and fitted by Judda Limbu and his team, Cher and Kieran. Having read other Wickes customer reviews who have unfortunately had a bad experience, it seems it really comes down to who fits your new kitchen, in our case we were very lucky indeed to have 3 very skilled and trustworthy fitters. Judda and his team are all ex Gurkhas, lovely fellas and very professional. They carried out the whole process like a military stress free operation, including a huge tidy up at the end of each working day, leaving everywhere very clean and tidy. We would strongly recommend asking for Judda to take care of the whole process of fitting your new kitchen. He is able to call on other skilled tradesmen at a moment's notice and therefore avoiding any delay with the timing of finishing the whole job.  In our case, we needed an electrician for some rewiring and new sockets. We left Judda with a key to our home to come and go over a few weeks while we were at work. Any issues he found, like a damaged cupboard door, he was able to order a new one from Wickes, which arrived within a few days to be replaced at no extra cost. We are particularly pleased with the new wall tiles, they look amazing with the colour of the units and worktops. All in all, we are very satisfied with our new Wickes kitchen.

Went in for materials and tools for a DIY project. Gracie was very friendly, gave me suggestions, and helped me find what I needed fast. Great shopping experience.

We recently went into the Maidstone branch of Wickes to purchase a kitchen, the design consultant Michael Girscher guided us through the process and helped us with our selection. Michael had a tremendous knowledge of their products and was truly a great assistance in our our final selection. The whole process was an enjoyable experience with much of the stress and hassle removed. We would thoroughly recommend both their products and particularly their design consultancy

My go too place for all my needs. Jim in store is always helpful and friendly.

Our bathroom installation started in September 2024 and over ran by a week. We have been left with an incomplete, damaged and unusable bathroom.

The shower leaks, the tile backing board we paid for was not installed, the sink and cabinets were damaged, the cabinet doors don’t fit, the soil pipe was installed at an incline and the toilet is now blocked, fire safety covers from down lights were removed and insulation left on the exposed lights.

The installer appears to have been in liquidation when they took on this work and never returned to complete the remedial work.

The customer experience co-ordinator was of no helped and repeatedly called asking if we were happy with the installation seemingly unaware of the issues we had previously reported to them.

We raised a complaint with wicks in November who have assigned another installer to rectify the issues.
The installer has failed to contact us over the past 6 weeks and there appears to be no timeframe to resolve our complaint.

Came into store with my wife looking for shelf supports, Jim was great and quickly helped us find what we were looking for and even added a discount for us at the till. Great customer service 👍

The branch had everything I needed. Jim who served me at the till was very polite & friendly.

Hi still waiting for kitchen to be finished, most of it great but small details need to be completed, be aware you will have to clean up , so have a good hoover , and had to take off the protective covering on doors , really difficult, still on top of doors and on plymth boards , still waiting for someone to come out to change damage draw fronts, and put handles on glass cabinets, Helen Maidstone

Great service from Wickes Maidstone store where assistant Tracey made sure we had tiles delivered to Tonbidge even though it was not in their usual delivery area

Called in last week . I needed some advice on hollow wall fixings . Jim was extremely helpful and knowledgable showed me to the correct aisle and advised on what would might be best for my needs . All round a good and positive experience
