Wickes - Stockport Reviews 

I visited the Stockport store today to buy bulk bags of bark. As always I find the staff at Wickes extremely helpful, approachable & friendly. I have damaged my arm & Conor helped me massively by loading the bags onto a trolley & putting them in my car.
You don't get this type of service from B&Q! And the prices are also good.

Wicks planned our kitchen, ok there, apart from the kitchen fitter had unused kitchen panels, still wrapped up and unused, in fact he put them in the skip. We have at least £150 of bits and pieces, it's been a chore getting Wickes to pick the stuff up and give a refund.
We have a cupboard door that you have to lift up to open, a mechanism that's fallen off, the list goes on.
I have just had notification that the additional panels are being picked on the 22/04/2026
I would not recommend them, they seem to be no better than Wren kitchens.

Went in to Wickes Stockport to look at some fence panels and was helped by Ellie and Tommy they were both really polite and friendly and helped me with my query. It was refreshing to shop somewhere and have young members of staff that care so much about the customers. I will definitely be using Wickes more often for my DIY needs.

As one wasn’t on display, we wanted to check some dimensions that weren’t listed on the website or box. He happily opened a box up so we could check it out before purchasing it.
Plus it was kind and helpful that he carried it out to the car and put it in the boot for us , as there is some weight in these boxes. Really appreciated his help and nothing was too much trouble to ensure we were happy before purchasing it.

the Surveyer never turned up. I rush back home for the appointment but he never turned up

Very good advice from knowledgeable designer Caitlin guiding us through the process to arrive at the best design for us.

I came in to ordering flooring not having a clue of where to start or what to do , a lovely lady called Tina came to my rescue and so so helpful and sorted it all for me , going above and beyond and her level of customer service did not go unnoticed , I’m cabin crew and deal with the public every day and no that people are often to write in with negatives rather than positives .
Tina is a real asset to the team and I went in again today and she remembered by name , can’t thank her enough

I would give less than this - we wanted a design consultation at a flat in Manchester it was all booked but then the week before they didn't want to come out and cancelled our appointment - the range we liked was a bespoke range. They insisted that we would have to come into the shop despite the fact we had no transport and no time to do so on the date booked. We had booked a home visit -
when I asked if there was closer store she wouldn't answer from outset it was as if she had no intention of anyone coming out!!!! disgusting customer service
The whole affair complete and utter waste of time.

As a home renovation first timer, I had no idea what I was doing and barely knew where to start planning my bathroom renovation. Caitlin at the Stockport branch was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and knew exactly the right way to help me figure out what I wanted (I had no idea). The process was streamlined and communication was fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone like me, who knows what they have is bad but isn't quite sure what good is. I am really happy with the design that Caitlin and I came up with and I'm so excited for the work to be done!

Sadly the representative i booked with was not in the building at the time we booked, i wouldnt have minded waiting but the person that was at the kitchen desk just dismissed me, no apology or "would you mind waiting" i felt ignored and will spend my money with a company that gives a damn

We have just purchased a new kitchen and have been so impressed by our design consultant Caitlin. She really listened to what we didn't like in our current kitchen and what we wanted in our ideal kitchen and helped us bring this to life. Her passion and enthusiasm made the whole process easy

I had a fantastic experience in store yesterday while shopping for flooring and tiles for a project I’m currently working on. Lucy from the Stockport branch was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to help me with stock locations, availability, and advice on styles and designs. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely took the time to make sure I found exactly what I needed. Her help and guidance made the whole experience so much easier, and it was very much appreciated. Outstanding customer service!

Our experience was excellent thanks to Caitlin Hill at the Stockport Branch. She was very approachable, she listened and instinctively responded to our requirements. Her design was very good, all her suggestions were excellent, she was very efficient and she explained everything carefully. Couldn’t have done more. Definitely 5 stars!

Click and collect service. Was helped by Olly to get the heavy purchase into the car. No complaints.
The lady in store was helpful to when asked about a product I seen online.

Had a rapid delivery this morning,the lovely man Dave even brought what I had ordered inside the house for me.
He was very friendly and helpful, it was a great service, thanks Dave.
