Wickes - Tamworth Reviews 

I had an issue with returns which lasted 4 weeks.ehen I returned to the store, Nat, one of the Managers resolved it immediately. She was very helpful and very friendly. Fantastic Manager. A credit to Wickes

Have been twice now to try and buy 6x6 fence panels and have not been successful simply because I dont have a mobile number - each time they have lost out to £110 of money to be spent + fence paint. Took my trade to B&Q again as I did last time. Beats me as to why they could not accept home phone number like B&Q did.

I went round all the usual suspects when shopping for my new kitchen, and had a variety of experiences, but Joanne shone through, like the complete star she is. She took time to listen to what I wanted from my kitchen, and then came up with a design that made me speechless. Unlike other places she listened to the things that weren't working for me in current kitchen, and came up with some ingenious design ideas that were much better suited to me. Plus on top of all that, she was friendly and jubbly and just outright lovely. so yes I can not recommend her enough

I always find Wickes a great place to shop. Staff try to help , however the store needs to be refurbished. I hope Wickes will be present in Tamworth for many years to come

Good experience. Lady who I asked was knowledgable and helpful in taking my products to my car and unloaded. Very grateful. Quiet so no que. checkout lady was polite.

Joanne visited from Wickes Tamworth at the beginning of February 2025 as I booked a design appointment with Jo. She visited my home and took time to listen to how and what I wanted for my new kitchen, she took the time to explain what could be done, she was professional and easy going and friendly. I felt so really comfortable talking to her, once she had designed the kitchen she would make an appointment to show me what she had done. I would definitely recommend Jo to design your kitchen. I did not bother getting anymore quotes I went with wickes had my new kitchen delivered on Saturday 29th and love it, it looks amazing thank you Jo

We visited Wickes Tamworth at the beginning of January 2025 and booked a design appointment with Jo. She visited our home and took time to explain what could be done, she was informative, professional but easy going and friendly. We felt so comfortable asking the silliest of questions. She went over and above when trying to sort a delivery issue, and could not have been any more understanding. We would definitely recommend Jo to design your kitchen. Lovely lady with a heart of gold.

I'd give zero stars but you're not allowed to, tamworth staff are utterly useless, ordered online, on the emails they sent there was no mention of a pin number...just said print or take recipt on phone. wife went to collect... wouldn't release good without the pin...that they hadn't sent! i'll go back to a local builders merchant...far better service.... dylan it is not third party collection..... it was the rude disinterested staff..... appauling

So Dylan from customer service who replied to my review. I replied back with my details and you just ignored me. I have two faulty bags of concrete I need a refund for and I am just being ignored now. See below for previous review.

I will never use Wickes again. After coming from diy.com I will be going back. They sold me blue circle concrete bags that had no concrete in them just pebbles. They refuse to refund me even though I have the bags and pebbles. Their customer service in South Africa are an absolute nightmare. Wish I read the reviews as looks like everyone else has had the same issue with bags of pebbles and no concrete. £60 down the drain. Will be going to my bank to do a charge back. They are blaming me for the product not working HOW if there is no cement in the bag to make the concrete go hard how is that my fault. Tamworth staff are a waste of time too and very rude. No wonder why the place is always empty.

I will do. What a joke Wickes are. By law I have a faulty product and now I will go to the bank and do a visa charge back.

The staff have no clue. I ask for advice or where something is - “it’s over there”. I go to where he points, can’t find what I’m looking for. Go back to him and he sends me somewhere else. His best advice - “there is a thing called YouTube.” He also said he is “only a shelf stacker”. It’s disappointing when they don’t know the products they are selling. He seemed offended that I expected him to know how to build something. Not at all Mike, what I expect is for you to have some knowledge/understanding of the products you sell. I took myself off to B&Q where they actually know something.

Nat , was very helpful I didn’t have a clue what I wanted in colour of paint and Nat gave me different options and combinations that work well together, she spent time with me and never once seemed like she couldn’t be bothered , I came away with a smile , Nat is a very polite and helpful lady , so thank you

My experience over the telephone regarding not having the fittings for my sink was poor and I feel I was treated in an obstructive and unhelpful way. That's not the store staff's problem though.
In-store, the staff were fantastic; very helpful, and Natalie in particular was absolutely lovely, very, very helpful and made everything very easy. Thank you Natalie.

Just bought a new kitchen from your store in Tamworth. Jo Nickless was a definite factor. She was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. An A+ service that deserves to be recorded.

I visited the store and needed help as I was completely unsure which were the correct door hinges I needed. I spoke with a young lad called Reece who was really helpful. He personally took me to where the hinges are located, showed me the correct hinge and then the sale was processed quickly and efficiently. Thank you Reece for your brilliant service.

Booked appointment with bathroom design consultant Joanne, she listened to everything we asked for then booked a date for when we wanted the work to start, the whole process went like clockwork the installers were lovely and friendly they communicated with us throughout with what would happen next they left everything clean and tidy at the end of each day and did an amazing job at transforming our dated bathroom.

Nat in Wickes Tamworth was super kind and helpful with helping me find decorating rollers and sleeves, for a charity DIY event we were arranging. She found me the most cost effective solution and a discount to ensure our limited budget stretched. Thanks Nat, very grateful.

Wickes have provided an outstanding service. Not only have they listened and advised but fitted a beautiful kitchen for us. Jo came to our house and designed the layout which is perfect, she was very approachable and helpful. Dave fitted the kitchen and kept us informed along the way about what he would be doing that day and nothing was too much for him. I highly recommend Wickes at Tamworth they could not have provided a more outstanding service. Thank you to them all.

The service I received from Zack Reid at the Wickes store in Tamworth was second to none with my complicated bathroom project. He really took the time to talk through all possible options and products to ensure we came up with a plan to suit my needs for my disabled husband.
