Wickes - Torquay Reviews 

Lorraine at Wickes Torquay was just fabulous designing a new kitchen to replace my very tired, dated and worn 25 year old black and white units. We went with Tiverton in Bone. The units are beautiful and well made and the cost extremely competitive. Lorraine was exceptionally visionary, took my needs into account including the fact I desire symmetry but also that I’m getting older and it’s less easy to bend down to lift heavy trays out of an under counter oven. She suggested replacing the breakfast bar and instead creating a triple unit with a double oven, fridge freezer and full height larder combined. The result is a beautiful and functioning kitchen that everyone who sees it is impressed by. Thank you Lorraine. You’re an asset to Wickes ❤️

I came into the store today to pick up an order and Mary signed me up to a trade account she was friendly and helpful.

Marie made our experience great - without question. From the outset she was so helpful and knowledgeable - from first meeting her I knew we had found our kitchen and didn’t need to look elsewhere. She took our ideas, making them work while quietly advising us along the way. She was very efficient and mindful of our budget, in the end creating a kitchen we are thrilled with!

Mary was very helpful and pleasant and made me feel at ease as I am a pensioner

We have recently had our Kitchen, downstairs toilet, Bathroom and new shower room put in. We approached Wickes having seen some of their work in our friends houses.

From start to finish they were really good, Marie was our designer. She visited the house and we were able to show her the rooms we wanted worked on and explained the sort of style we wanted. She went away and came up with some designs and we went to see them 4 days later. What Marie has designed was great and fitted the brief really well. We decided to go with it.

Wickes appointed us some local builders to do the fitting, who were amazing. Between Marie and the fitters they managed the whole project in terms of deliveries, timings and time scale. In the space of four weeks the whole project was done and working.

We really would recommend Wickes, all the products are great quality and, apart from a couple of little alterations, everything went to plan.

Tony was excellent and extremely helpful with our paint match. He made time to ensure we had the right paint. He suggested mixing a tester first to ensure it was right. Would definitely be back.

From start to finish i was very happy with my purchase of my new kitchen, after speaking to Lorraine and arranging for to get the kitchen planned by someone who knows better than me(the advice was invaluable).Then i visited the showroom once again to tweak a few minor issues and signed the bottom line,at no time did i feel pressured into the purchase, as that would put me off, so finally 10 out of 10 for Wickes and of course Lorraine a credit to the company.

I went into the Edginswell/Torquay branch as I needed some new halogen bulbs for my bathroom. I was struggling with the Watts and other jargon so I asked the assistant for some help.
I had taken an old bulb in with me and the assistant who's name was Tony was so helpful. He found the items I needed but discovered the labeling needed to be sorted and took me to the till ans scanned the correct box for payment.
He is a great asset to Wicks.

I visited the store recently, and had an issue with the company administering the car park. I contacted the store Operations Manager Danielle Wyatt, who bent over backwards to resolve the issue for me. I can truly say it is a rare thing today to find someone who takes on your case, and gives you the reassurance that they have your best interests as their primary goal. Thank you Danni.

This Wickes store is really easy to negotiate around, I went in for various items which they had, decorating equipment and kiln dried logs. And Mary on the till was really nice and ever so helpful, especially helping me replace the battery in my car key fob when that stopped working.

Marie at Torquay Wickes was wonderful from start to finish. We went back and forth about different designs/layouts for my kitchen either in person or by e-mail. We had some deliveries that had minor damage to the oak doors. I had replacements sent directly to me very quickly and any left over items not required were refunded. I'm really pleased with my kitchen and would recommend the pull out larder and bin. The larder was a bit tricky to fit but we managed it eventually!

Lorraine at the Torquay branch was brilliant. She really listened to us and accommodated our needs. We met her a few times during the design process and each time she was excellent. Julie at the help centre was also very good, really friendly and helpful when arranging our delivery.

Plesent knowledgable staff,( Tony and Kyle) greet you with a smile and are happy to assist you with your shop.
Good choice of items and plenty of room in store.
Reasonable prices wth some excellent offers.

Lorraine was really helpful in helping to choose our design and colour scheme. She also outlined the whole procedure for having our kitchen installed which was very reassuring. We could not fault her professionalism.
Our fitter, Scott was very tidy and his workmanship was of a very high standard.
Very satisfied with the quality of our kitchen supplied by Wickes.

We are exploring having a new kitchen and made an appointment with our local Wickes store. Marie was very helpful and patient and generous with her time to create the first draft design for us. Excellent service.

We visited our local Wickes (Torquay)to look at there bespoke kitchens.
What a great choice they had ,we were greeted by a nice lady called Lorraine who was very friendly and knowledgeable and went through all the possibilities we could have .Lorraine suggested a personal design appointment.
After she visited our home and took measurements etc,we returned to the store and were delighted with the design that Lorraine had created .
We live in a park home and we have a small and awkward kitchen area,so it was a challenge for Lorraine and we were really pleased with the design ,cost and the little touches we never thought of .

We have decided to install it ourselves and when it is all done we will definitely like to invite Lorraine to see her creation and our lovely new kitchen 😀

Also most helpful in looking at different options to make the most of the space we have available
