Wickes - Wimbledon Reviews 

Awful company! Left me with a partially working shower for the past year. After doing the whole bathroom with them they sent the wrong piece for the shower which has not been working properly since installation. Chased about this issue for months and they did nothing!

Laura and the team at Wickes Wimbledon generously supported The Friends of Elm Road Rec (a community group in Kingston upon Thames) with a donation of wood chippings for our group to use to prevent stinging nettle regrowth in the flower bed in our children’s playground. We and the local community are very grateful for the support from the community programme and store team.

I ordered a new Kitchen from Wickes and was assisted by Thanim throughout. He was great, highly knowledgeable and gave good advice to help me with the design and decision making. Also great after care with putting through some small design changes into the plan. Thank you very much, I appreciate it!

What was meant to be a home design visit turned into me being asked to go into the showroom instead. I sat down with the sales associate, went through a few options, and was told I’d get a proper quote emailed through – but it never arrived.

All I was given was £4,800 for the kitchen written on a bit of paper and a verbal figure of £4,000 for the fitting. No breakdown, no detail of what I’d be buying, and no transparency on what I’d actually be paying for.

In the end, I left with nothing but vague numbers and a broken promise of a follow-up. Be warned – you could end up with little more than scraps of paper and no real understanding of what you’re signing up for

We thought about having my kitchen done for a while and we finally took the plunge with Wickes. We went into the Wimbledon branch which was very well laid out and we were able to see all the products on display. Our designer Thanim Malique was very attentive to our requirements as we had various issues with our layout that he managed to facilitate the exact specs we wanted. He was able to answer any questions that we had. My Wickes installer was brilliant, patient and an excellent craftsman. His attention to detail was exceptional. He answered any questions that I had and the end result was worth every penny. I can thoroughly recommend Wickes for any Kitchen or Bathroom installations as we have had a very positive experience.

We recently had a new bathroom fitted—and we’re absolutely delighted with the result! It looks fantastic and has completely transformed the space.

A huge thank you to Rosa, our designer and customer lead, who was brilliant throughout.

There were a couple of delays—one in removing the waste and another in receiving a refund for an unused radiator—but both were resolved in the end. It just took a little time.

Overall, we’re really pleased with the outcome and would happily recommend Wickes to anyone considering a bathroom renovation on a budget.

Had an excellent experience here recently. Staff member Rachel Camilleri was really helpful and knowledgeable and advised me on the right soil to buy to grow my beetroot. Thanks, Rachel!

I needed a new kitchen but needed help. I approached the Wimbledin branch and Thanim picked up my call. He got straight back to me and booked a visit to my home. He made some great suggestions to make the best of my space. A few days later I was in store selecting my style of kitchen. I thought I was locked in until a few days later, changed my mind about my choice of kitchen. No problem said Thanim, come back in. I did and he was patient as I chopped & changed work tops / handles, bless him. Thanim was great, very knowledgeable and had no problem with my questions, he answered them all which gave me great confidence in the process. Just prior to delivery I was back in store to purchase the flooring and tiles and again, Thanim was able to stop me making costly decisions. The kitchen is now finished and I wanted to cry when I saw the finished product, it was perfection, everything was just perfect. Everyone who sees it is impressed, as am I. Another great feature, no quibble returns. I cannot say enough good things about the help and support provided by Thanim and Wicks. I have no hesitation in recommending them & their services. Time in my lovely new kitchen is no longer a chore.

I ordered my new bathroom through Wickes, Wimbledon. Though the purchasing of the bathroom was relatively fine, the delivery not so! A number of missing, damaged, incorrect items received one of which was a key part of my new bathroom plans - the shower enclosure. End result being delays in finishing the installation. Quite frustrating given all items purchased at least 6 weeks before delivery so mistakes should have been spotted by Wickes ie the design consultant could have more proactively managed the order to ensure correct/undamaged items delivered to me. Friends have mine who have used Wickes to purchase bathrooms and kitchens, warned me about this so I've only got myself to blame!
Finally, when my installer and I went into Wickes, Wimbledon on Friday the 13th June 2025 to get further advice on an incorrect shower enclosure frame delivered, there was no one around to help. This is at 10am on a week day so you would thought there be one person around to help!

A good experience at Wickes in Wimbledon today. Staff were very friendly, especially Rachel, who was helpful, engaging and customer focused, as she assisted us in finding the items we needed.

Clearly the best DIY store head and shoulders better than the others. helpful staff (Rachel C) and excellent prices. Always have what I need, and the own brand stuff is top quality too as well as very reasonable.

I visited Wickes Wimbledon today and had an absolutely fantastic experience thanks to Amanda. She went above and beyond to help me—super friendly, incredibly helpful, and genuinely a pleasure to interact with. It's not often you come across such excellent customer service, and Amanda truly made my visit a delight. Shopping there was smooth and enjoyable because of her. A big thank you to Amanda and the team!

I wouldn't normally write a review as I'm in and out these stores 20 times a week however I found a certain member of staff to be so helpful and polite i just had to write something. Out of the numerous Wickes stores I visit each week I found that this store was well stocked clean and tidy and staff friendly especially a lovely young lady called Rachel Camilleri, all stores would benefit from having people like this behind the counter, going that extra mile helping people and always with a smile, makes you want to come back to the store rather than spend your money elsewhere.

The sincerity and warm greeting shown to me as a customer stood-out from the usual, everyday half-hearted communication I’m used to at just about every shop I go to.
