World of Whisky Group Reviews

Do not buy from this company..
They also have a company they sale property from
Matthew Brice you should be ashamed of your self I brought 2 Casks from your company
This is know a police matter

I purchased two casks of whisky from this company. The buying process was straightforward, and certificates arrived quickly, which initially impressed me. However, I've been unable to sell either cask for over five months despite repeated attempts. The company rarely responds to my calls or messages.

This is particularly concerning since they marketed one cask as "very rare." I find it troubling that a supposedly rare product isn't selling, especially given the difficulty reaching the company for support.

I suspect this may be a scam and have filed a complaint with Trading Standards to investigate.

DO NOT INVEST!!! They have taken my money and not provided me with proof of my purchase in form of 'delivery orders' . These are proof that my investments are in my name. They have also conned me into paying a massive amount more than the whisky is worth. I've been chasing my original investment since Oct last year within a month of paying and not receiving paperwork. I will be taking this further soon and posting it all for you all on here for you all to read.

I invested with Wow a significant sum of money (50k) just over 18 months ago. This was 30 casks of Tullerbardine. I signed a contract with Neville Swan, the sole director. The guaranteed return promised was £65500. Tullerbardine site visits were scheduled and promises of an early investment return, I cannot get hold of Neville now. No one will provide me his contact details. No one will tell me where my casks are now. Matthew Grice informed me the investment was going well even up until March this year and even emailed in June 2026 for a portfolio review. I was also asked to invest a significant sum in Copeland Whisky in March this year for a guaranteed 40% return This month, I cannot get hold of anyone. It’s either “ leave a message” or an eventual dead tone. I am planning personal visits to the client office in London and St Albans head office. If anybody else is struggling, please do take action. I have also contacted Tullerbardine to give them the heads up and will be contacting Copeland too. Please take action if you have invested with World of Whisky! If you have bought casks with Wow already, ensure you know where they are stored and have contacted the bonded store where they are held. If you are thinking of investing with Wow, DON'T!
The 18 month repayment contract has now lapsed and there still hasn’t been any formal communication that payment is delayed AND for how long. Despite telecomms with Matthew Grice, there has been NO communication from Neville Peter Swann. I have asked for office addresses and still haven’t received anything. Any one who is having a similar experience with the same contract, please do review and reach out so we can make a concerted effort to get our investment returned.

Warning - Never buy from WOW
Ive been trying to move my remaining 2no casks into my own name, as I have a private account now. I have requested a delivery order for both of these casks over 2 months ago but keep getting excuses after excuses from Matthew and now it appears they cannot pay the overdue arrears owed to the bonded warehouse, so my casks will not be moved without this debt being settled.
The writing is on the wall for you all to see and they should never been in business.
Take this as a warning to all potential new clients.

We had a wonderful conversation with Pauline at Stansted Airport, who introduced us to some amazing whiskies. The selection is impressive and it's great to enjoy human to human connection with a knowledgeable expert.

Avoid.
This is a great company to buy whisky from. But not so when it comes to sell.
Despite being contracted to repurchase a cask, they haven’t. Instead, Robin and Matt have given me so many excuses that they would fill a book. I have now had to engage the services of a solicitor.

Johnathon are contact was very patient and understood are concerns about making an informed assessment of the cask investment industry and helped us every step of the way, never pushing, never pressuring just helping and providing us with all the required legal documentation. All our calls where returned in an efficient and speedy fashion. Would recommend WoW for a long term investment into the cask industry.

Investing with World of Whiskey is an interesting venture.
My consultant Jonathan has been very informative and has sourced some really sought after casks, with himself and his team putting together some lucrative deals for me. I'm excited to see where this is going. I've been well looked after and this has only just begun.
A great investment opportunity which speaks for itself.

If you are thinking of investing in whisky, this is the place to be. James was brilliant in explaining all you need to know about the world of whisky and the purchase process. Totally recommended

After some initial concerns I spoke with Robin who fully put my mind at ease, I have been a whisky collector for many years and had never taken the plunge into cask investment, I am now happy that I am now an investor and more than happy that I invested with Robin.
Straight forward talk and straight forward approach to investing nothing was hidden.
I was also afforded the opportunity to meet other investors on a day out arranged by World of Whisky which was a great experience.

So far so good, really nice team at WoW, we have had pleasure in meeting nearly all the team, which is great face to face, I'm not a whisky drinker so they have been really patient and I'm learning, I was scared as youngster with cheap whisky/whiskey, have attended the tasting evenings was nervous but so many people from different backgrounds did not feel ot of place or out of depth, looking forward to 2025 and beyond. PS Robyn knows his stuff as do the others

As my first foray into cask ownership I have to say Robin, James and the team at World of Whisky' made the whole thing extremely straightforward. They were helpful and supportive throughout the transaction, explaining the process and potential long-term profits, as well as the possible pitfalls of selling short-term. They even organised a day trip where I got the opportunity to 'visit' my casks in storage.
If you are considering whisky as an investment I would whoeheatredly recommend World of Whisky.

I have been dealing with Robin at world of Whisky for about 6 months and found the buying of a barrel clear and straight forward under no pressure.
MOVE ON TO FEB 2026
HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT WOW FOR LAST MONTH AS THEY MOVED MY CASK WITHOUT INFORMING ME AND CHARGING ME FOR THE PRIVELEDGE. ROBIN HAS LEFT WHO I HAD A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH BUT SPOKE TO JAMES TWICE, NOW HE DOESNT ANSWER HIS PHONE. I HAVE HEARD VIA TRADE CONTACT THAT THEY SELL CASKS AT VASTLY INFLATED PRICES THAT MEAN YOU WILL NOT SEE A RETURN FOR 5 YEARS.
I COULD GO ON BUT WONT EXCEPT TO SAY DO NOT BUY FROM WOW .
READ OTHER REVIEWS AS THEY ECCO MY VIEW

I decided I wanted to invest in my sons future, I st tried stocks but had a bad experience and then thought about gold, I then saw an advert about whisky casks and got in touch with world of whisky, soon afterwards I was called back by 1 of their colleagues called Brett who was extremely helpful and informative and gave me a great insight into the world of whisky and how it works so I decided 2 invest in a cask, and I'm so happy that I did, I'm looking for a long time investment so that it can mature fully and hopefully provide my son with financial security in his future, I highly recommend the World Of Whisky an in particular Brett as his customer service was impeccable and made me feel very comfortable with my decision 2 invest

Absolutely brilliant service.

James made everything extremely easy and made sure he found the perfect casks for my budget. I was talked through the whole process and at no point did I feel confused or under pressure to invest.

Would 100% recommend for anyone looking to start a whisky portfolio

Had a great experience with World of Whisky (WoW) - from getting the brochure they made contact and informed me of options - offering not just the prices of the casks but the history of the various distilleries. My contact, James, shared his knowledge and passion through our phone conversations, along with his ability to find good deals.
Enjoyed the enthusiastic conversations about the products and felt that the experience was tailored to fit with my budget and timeframe. The team were attentive and involving with the process - from information about the various casks, cost options and upcoming distillery tours, it has been a great experience so far.

I dealt with James from World of Whisky, super professional, there was no pressure into buying a cask. Gave me loads of detail regarding the cask I was interested in. So I took the leap and purchased a cask. Super helpful in every way. Would I buy again, yeh for sure. Great company, I felt really relaxed while on the phone with James.
World Of Whisky for me 5 stars.
Cheers

James made purchasing a case a much easier process with his vast experience and knowledge there was nothing he didn't know or could find out if needed about the product or the company. Looking forward to the future with world of whisky

The process is dead easy. Having been invested in whisky casks for a number of years now and investing can’t be simpler. Richard Wells is a terrific portfolio manager. He is not only knowledgeable but also keen to educate. He returns calls promptly and I have never felt poorly informed. I can heartily recommend.
