Allowed another user to steal my money despite the evidence I provided stating that they would in fact refund me. Then allowed the other zelle user to close their account and open another account with their government name and operate their business (hair) as if they never scammed me. Yes, I jave recripts/screenshots/texts messages.

I don't understand zelle they don't protect cusyomers against scammers.

Do NOT use Zelle! KeyBank is partnered with Zelle, but neither of them will back you up from a scam artist. Understand, KeyBank carries NO responsibility regarding your money through Zelle. Zelle is a third party vendor, so don’t be fooled thinking your transactions are safe. I did all the legwork to prove a scam, they do not care. They also will not take any action against the scammer. How great is that?! I will be withdrawing all my money from KeyBank after 20 years of a relationship with this bank. Absolutely ridiculous. It also took me aver a month to dispute this claim. If the Executive Office can’t help- you’re doomed!

Someone tried to send me $1575, the transaction failed, but the money was never returned to my friends account. I spoke to my bank and they said their was an issue with the transaction and it was declined and the money was returned to the sender. The senders bank said they could see the transaction was declined but the money was never returned to them by Zelle. I tried calling Zelle's customer service and they said their was nothing they could do to help me and that I needed to talk to my bank. The senders bank opened a transaction dispute with Zelle. This was almost a year ago, I never did receive my $1575. Be careful using Zelle, you may lose your money and never see it again. I don't use Zelle anymore, and recommend the same to others.

Very disappointed in my whole Zelle first time experience it was horrible was given the run around for serval days and money been played with back and forth. After my transaction is finally complete i will not be using Zelle services again unless other wise( my last option)

Never use Zelle customer service. They steal your money.

This company has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE except a recording repeating the complex instructions that lead to nowhere. I spent two days trying to get money sent to me and kept running into dead-ends.

The risk of encountering scammers on Zelle makes it an untrustworthy platform for financial transactions, and the fact that you are unlikely to recover your funds if scammed on Zelle is a major flaw of the app. In my opinion, Zelle is not a reliable or safe option for sending or receiving money, and users should approach the platform with caution.

They link to your bank account and tell you that you are screwed if you get scammed. How are banks letting this happen? How is this company not holding scammers liable? It is NOT a safe app. You WILL LOSE MONEY if you get scammed. The bank nor Zelle protect you and that’s criminal. I reported Zelle to the FTC, FBI, states attorneys and I will not let this go. They will change policies. Maybe what we need is a class action lawsuit. I am looking into that as well.

You have no choice with your star rating you have to choose 1 star so I will verbally take that star back. They claim that it is a instant transfer and that is not the case. If you are depending on it being a instant transfer between your bank accounts to pay a bill don’t. You will be let down and you will be charged a late fee. If you can do it the hard way by going to each bank do it. I will never use the service ever again.

I used Zelle to make a payment to hat I thought was a legitimate business. Turns out it's a scam, and since I used Zelle, it appears that I have no recourse. First and last time I use Zelle. Suggest you stick with paypal, credit cards, etc.

I'm a disabled war veteran. And I've been with USAA for about 5 years. I was impressed with them until recently. Someone got into my bank account and used Zelle to transfer all of my VA disability payments, Stimulus money, etc into their own account! This was done over a two year period while I was in jail fighting false allegations. I got out after I went to trial and proved my innocence. I'd wrote USAA while in jail over the years WARNING of my suspicion of fraud/theft on my accounts. Asked them to cancel and block all suspicious activity. But nothing was done and I never even got a response from USAA. After I got out of jail in June 2021 (I proved my accuser lied and used fake evidence to frame me), I discovered over $50,000 had been stolen out my USAA accounts! Over $25,000 was stolen using Zelle. The thief's name is right on the transfers, but USAA says they didn't find any fraud. How?! Not only am I a vulnerable adult, but I was in jail fighting for my freedom unable to even call USAA (did write them)! I even gave USAA a letter the thief wrote me in 2019, confessing and bragging about stealing my money. She (thief) told me, "I've used some of your money and property for my personal responsibilities. Nothing you can do about it because you're in jail." This person I trusted was supposed to be using my money to hire me a good lawyer and put money in my jail account. She stole all my money and tried to make sure I stayed in jail, so I couldn't hold her accountable. She also stole my identity, filed taxes in my name, filed for unemployment in my name, and successfully ruined my credit and my life! I found out she'd become friends with my false accuser (my exwife). Yes, I've filed complaints with the FTC, CFSB, etc. USAA did refund the numerous overdraft fees, and refunded some of the unauthorized credit card transactions. But have not refunded the Zelle transactions and other credit card transactions totally over $25,000! Where was their fraud department during the two plus years of fraud/embezzlement/theft? Now, I'm left broke and struggling. I can't even afford to hire a lawyer. So far, crime has paid big-time for the person who victimized me...The police have, finally, filed a complaint against the criminal!
