1 Star – Very Poor First Impression
I ordered a TalkHome Mobile SIM card last Saturday and, unfortunately, my experience so far has been extremely disappointing.
I’ve had to call customer services twice to chase up my order. On Wednesday, I requested to speak to a manager because I was getting nowhere with the information I was being given. I was assured that my SIM card had been dispatched and that I would receive it today.
When I called again today to find out where my SIM card actually is, I was given conflicting information and what felt like a lot of excuses rather than clear answers. As a new customer who has only just signed up, this is not the impression I expected.
To make matters worse, some of the customer service representatives I spoke to in the offshore contact centres came across as rude and dismissive. One particular interaction was an absolute joke and left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.
If this is the level of service provided before I’ve even received my SIM card, it doesn’t give me much confidence in TalkHome Mobile going forward. Very poor communication, poor customer service, and a disappointing start to what should have been a straightforward sign-up process.
Money took from my bank with no warning…
Sim did not arrive after 2 week so ordered another - both arrived a week later.
I was too busy to insert and set up sim but had a payment took without it been activated or any warning!
Called customer service which was pretty bad. Told me sim no good after 30 days but to still try. Noticed 12 further payments had been set up via PayPal even though it was a monthly contract so called again to clarify.
no one was speaking even though they had answered the phone. Rang back on hold 30 min then got same adviser. Hard to communicate with and get my point across. I felt he was quite unhelpful.
So disapointed as I was looking forward to getting a EE signal at a good price.
Had my first review took off trustpilot for some reason but I feel it’s important to warn potential customers of my experience.
I hate leaving negative reviews and most of mine are positive.

Appalling level of service. Despite having plenty of money on my account I cannot make or receive call or texts meaning I missed an important call from my doctor today. I have tried to contact the company several times but it seems they are all either having a tea break or maybe just ignoring their customers.

I bought a SIM card to use for roaming when I’m in Italy to work from home, I used up all of the 60gb roaming data (which is NOT clearly displayed at all on their website FAQ and product page) - I contacted customer services and the agent claimed there is no way to increase the roaming cap (keep in mind there is on pretty much every other network in the UK) and was incredibly unprofessional and rude. Whatever circumstance you are in, DO NOT USE TALK HOME.

It just kept on cutting off every minute. I am happy i ddnt sign up for a bundle. Instead did a minimum top up of £5 but even that was a waste of money. ☹️

I purchased a top up voucher from a local retailer who had gave me the wrong voucher after I had told him I wanted a mobile voucher . He printed out the wrong one.

I bought £20 rechargeable International calling card and pin number is not working ... there is no proper system to rectify the problem straightaway. I email them..not received any reply yet.

I purchased a £10 calling card online to call a hungarian mobile number. 4 out of 6 times it wouldn't connect the call properly, meaning that the other party's phone rings but when answered there is only silence on the line. On my side at the same time it wasn't connecting or ringing. I had to try three to four times to be able to connect the call properly. It deducted money even for those failed calls. They say that it is only 3p /minute, it sounds good but in reality money runs out very fast.

Anyone knows if their services are down today?, cant dial any number from 3 of their mobiles (numbers) I have in family, cant even dial 579 or their customer support, seems everything is down.

Please do not download this apps absolutely rubbish now, it used to be ok before but now they just taking your money and the customer service are clueless, they will tell you to contact to help line from the apps.

It’s been few days having problems with TalkHome app in my I phone. I couldn’t continue keep on taking more than one minute. I have reinstalled application few time but it’s changed nothing. I have mail them but no response. So disappointed..
