Yellow Zebra expertly cobbled a Rwanda gorilla trek on short notice. Reservations were honored, guides were knowledgeable and helpful and help was rendered when airline delays threatened the itinerary.

Our contact was super helpful as we bounced around some changing ideas and extensions, but she stuck with us and put together a magnificent itinerary. I was afraid we would wear her out with our what if requests, but never detected that. We are extremely please with the final options she found.

Everyone across the entire team was beyond helpful - from Lauren in designing the perfect itinerary, to Janine with the pre-trip operations, to Quin and the guest experience team while in Africa. We could not have been happier with our honeymoon and are beyond grateful for Yellow Zebra's involvement in our once-in-a-lifetime experience.

To the shock of my family, I struggle to come up with words that truly reflect the experience we just had, thanks to Yellow Zebra. And I also have so many things to say, but it would be impossible to get it all down with a realistic expectation of anyone reading it. So, I hope this short(ish) review will get my point across.

When first booking this trip, I was quite sure I'd end up with a different company, just based on my friends' recommendations and some solid research over the years. Yellow Zebra was relatively unknown to me, and it was the reviews, accommodation choices, and quality of the website which piqued my interest in the first place. However, in the end, it really came down to my interaction with Eleanor Roberts that pushed me over the edge. She 'got' me right from the start. She not only knew exactly what vibe I was looking for, but she also knew what was not on my radar that should have been. That's keen knowledge combined with excellent client service. And Eleanor was so patient, timely, and the perfect mix of warm and professional throughout - she never made me feel like I was annoying her with my questions, even though I'm sure I was at times. Also - a special mention goes out to the Operations Team, Beatrix and Imogen in particular, who were wonderful to deal with, combining that same friendly/professional service quality.

Eleanor's recommendations were spot-on. Every accommodation, restaurant, and activity hit the mark. The itinerary was also flawless, which added to the experience, because I had heard stories from my friends about logistical issues in Africa generally speaking, so was expecting some. They never came. Maybe it was a bit of luck, but I do put a heavy weight on the organizational skills behind the scenes.

Those extra special moments - too many to list - will be in our memories forever. Literally - I have never been so affected by a trip, and can't imagine anything that could top this. Unless I'm lucky enough to do it again. And if I do, I'll be entrusting it to Yellow Zebra, no question about it.

We used YZS 10 years ago when we booked a safari and beach stay for our honeymoon, which was all fantastic, so we went straight to them to book a trip for our 10-year wedding anniversary in July 2026 – a safari in Kenya with our 8-year-old daughter. We did not need to look anywhere else – Lauren created a trip tailored to exactly what we were looking for. The organisation before, during and after the trip was faultless. The camps we stayed at were amazing and the staff we encountered couldn’t do enough for us. We always had logistical support while in Africa and felt completely safe and always looked after. We would highly recommend YZS to anyone considering a safari trip to Africa.

Our Tanzania experience (for a couple from USA) arranged by YellowZebra was wonderful. They provided great service in planning and executing the trip, accommodated our requests, made changes to schedule a breeze. All minor details take care of. When our trip had to be cancelled for family emergency, they graciously accommodated us a year later with small changes. Excellent and reliable support thru WhatsApp during the trip by their guest experience team. We would highly recommend then. We will use their service again if we go back to Africa.

I initially contacted Yellow Zebra Safaris to book my Safari, as I had seen their website mentioned in a Sunday Newspaper Travel section. Also they came with good reviews and website was informative and well set out.
My experience with them was excellent. There were a couple of hiccups when booking and changing flights due to potential issues in Dubai and the level of response and ease of dealing with the issue was exemplary. The trip was excellent, and was well planned for us. We had a WhatsApp link to the on the ground team and this was very reassuring and a nice touch. All of the team I dealt with at Yellow Zebra were responsive and helpful. I would recommend them.

Everything matched the itinerary. There was no detail left undone. The lodgings were top notch and the people involved with us were so friendly and knowledgeable. The best part was, of course, the safari camps. We learned so much in addition to seeing every animal possible. Ending the trip at the beach was a great recommendation.

Ekorians Mugie Camp
Sammy and Mosses were brilliant driver/guides, and we had an amazing four days with them. They were so cheerful and keen on our safari drives and accompanied us everywhere we went including the camel rides, kayaking to the elephants on the lake, Masai community and the anti-poaching trip. We learnt so much from them and were fascinated with the footprints and how they found these stunning animals. (we saw cheetahs, prides of lions, elephants and calves, zebras and grevy zebra, giraffe and reticulated giraffe, antelope, warthogs, silverback jackals and many birds) , The evening sun downers were so much fun together with tables set in the middle of the savannah and even the campfire and mobile bar on our final night watching the milky way – incredible.
The management and team at the camp were brilliant – every detail thought of. The tents were beautiful and the attention to detail with mosquito nets and the hot water bottles at night. The early morning refreshments and wake up call were welcomed. Always cheerful faces and then we would arrive at a bush meal to beautifully laid tables with delicious freshly cooked food or buffets which were scrummy overlooking a stunning scene. Every meal was so well presented and in a private location. After two fabulous game drives a day, we would be greeted with our own fire area and more drinks and appetizer prior to dinner being served. The swimming pool was a lovely addition and great view.
These memories will be with us forever and we were all incredibly sad to leave them.

Kicheche Mara North
Dixon greeted us at the airstrip, and we were lucky enough to see a leopard on our journey to camp. He was very friendly and excellent at locating the animals and anticipating their moves and where to park – it was amazing to be part of the animal world. We learnt so much from him. Each morning, we would have a bush breakfast where Dixon would set out a table, stools, and our beautiful food – the views of the hippos in the river will remain with us all forever. The camp was beautifully appointed with an array of food, attentive staff, even guides to take us to the tent in the evening and bring us for the game drive in the morning. The hot water bottles were welcome. The tents had individual views and well spaced with stunning with the wildlife roaming. The meals in the evening we together on the terrace or in the main tent weather dependant but we sat as a family, and the food was delicious with gorgeous staff.
The animals we saw here were abundant, but we were incredibly lucky in both camps to see so many of these beautiful wild animals. We feel privileged to have experienced it.

Almanara Villa
George, Faith, Jennifer were a fabulous team looking after us and we were spoilt with delicious food and service and a wonderful way to relax after our 7 nights on safari. Mosses at the pool bar was an asset to their team and we spent many an hour there. The beach was beautiful to walk and see Robinson Island and the incredible sea life with a glass boat boat and snorkel trip. We ventured out with the driver to other bars and on a shopping trip – nothing was too much trouble, and we felt very lucky to stay here in the beautiful gardens and setting.

They were very efficient with guides meeting us and making sure we went safely through airports to our awaiting cars and then we would be sent texts with the next stage of the trip. It was reassuring to know that Florence and her team were there if we had needed them.

The safari with Yellow Zebra was awesome! Our guide Rufina was wonderful and made sure we saw all the animals from leopard to the wildebeest crossing we wanted for no animal, had amazing views and food and she even did a honeymoon photoshoot for us at the end!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Yellow Zebra from start to finish. From the very beginning, they truly listened to what we wanted, asked thoughtful questions, and then executed an incredible trip that exceeded our expectations.

What impressed me most was the level of care we received while traveling. During our safari, I became ill and contacted their concierge for assistance. Within an hour, I was on the phone with a doctor. Since we were traveling to a new camp the following day, Yellow Zebra coordinated everything so that the medication I needed was waiting for me when we arrived at our next camp. That level of responsiveness and care gave us tremendous peace of mind.

Communication throughout the entire trip was excellent—just enough to make us feel supported without being intrusive. Every detail felt well organized, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout our journey.
