I am very sorry about this.
I can see you did order a number of clearance priced items that were past the best before date.

For example

I am glad to see that this is clearly indicated in the title.

Did you also know that we are one of the only online supermarkets were you can actually see the best before dates of every item directly on the product page?

For example please have a look at that product with this link

And I also glad to note that the best before date is correctly showing in the link to the page.

However with all that information to hand we still appreciate people are busy and limited by time right? So we know busy people miss this information.

But luckily we usually phone people up that have ordered items that have passed the best before date, just to make sure they have that information.

I am very glad to see this happened in your case, I am sorry these dates came as a shock to you and you asked for a number of these clearance items to be refunded.

I can see this affected 20% of your order by value before shipping cost. We aim to refund such amounts at the point of shipping and I am sorry to say the despatcher can only issue refunds to voucher for card payments via Stripe.

I am very sorry if this part was not explained to you but I am delighted to inform you this is easily reversed. I can delete that voucher and send back to card for you, I will also pro-rata a discount on your shipping and refund the pro-rata amount back to card.

I am very sorry about this issue, it is the first I have heard of it, I am sorry if you have tried to reach us and could not get through. I cannot find an answerphone message nor email relating to this so please accept my apologies if I have missed one.

Please note calls to 01244 888809 do usually have to go though a Google Screening process due to a high volume of spam callers. Please accept my apologies if the screening was also a barrier to you.

Just let me know if you would like me to do that refund for you, or if you have any other concerns you would like me to deal with. You can also do this by editing your review if that is more convenient for you.

I have canceled the voucher for you and sent the product refund back to card along with a 20% pro rata discount on the shipping fee. Thank you Kyle, sorry I did not see any further response to the email from you so I will update with the actions we have taken to date (22/3/24) to clarify.

I can confirm we were able to refund some of your deliver charge to reflect the local delivery and the avoidance of some 3rd party costs.
Apologies for any incorrect product information we do work hard to keep our website information up-to-date but it can be difficult to keep it 100% accurate sorry.
I can confirm the fresh products you received had incorrect dates on our computer system but the delivered product was in date and correctly marked as such on the packaging. We do sell items passed the best before date but this are usually clearly marked as such (you did not purchase any of these). However we do remove from sale anything past it's use by date, you purchased products that were showing the incorrect use by date on our website (that stock and already been physically removed - sorry it had not been electronically removed) but we sent out in date items dated 8th of March

Thank you Amber, for your wonderful 5 star rating and review, we have that feature, on the product page click on the product details tab and you we see a notify me button thanks
