Do not buy from Zoma or their parent company AmeriSleep!! Zoma Sleep is the worst company with the worst mattresses I’ve ever bought. They are scamming people. I bought one of their higher end mattresses. Before purchasing, because it was a lot of money, I reached out to them to check what their return process was. Buying a mattress online seems risky and I wanted to make sure, if there were issues, the return process wouldn’t be a nightmare. They completely lied to me.
Less than 3 months after I purchased the mattress it started sagging and getting lumpy in places. It is clearly poor quality and not well made. I am having more back pain, not less like they advertise. I reached out to the company with photos and they said they would start a return. They needed more photos first. Then the photos I sent weren’t enough. They needed me to destroy the tag and take pictures of that, which I did. Then they handed the issue off to a third party to arrange for the mattress to be picked up.
The third party said they can’t pick up the mattress so I have to find someone to come get it. They also said I have to document every step of the process with pictures and fill out documentation and have whoever I donate the mattress to fill out documentation. Apparently everyone but me has heard of this company and knows they make horrible mattresses because I cannot find anyone to even donate the mattress to.
I tried to reach out to Zoma and they insist I have to go through this third party organization. The third party organization now says maybe they can pick it up but I have to physically destroy the mattress and send pictures first. They continue to give me hoops to jump through but never actually pick up the mattress and Zoma will not honor their 100-night sleep guarantee. They will not even communicate with me and just insist I go through a third party organization.
It is worth noting that I originally tried to purchase a mattress through Zoma’s parent company, Amerisleep, and my bank continually denied the transaction. I thought something was wrong with their website but after this nightmare I contacted my bank and turns out it’s because they are scamming people and have had so many disputed transactions that my bank automatically denies any charges from this corporation. That’s likely why they created a subsidiary they now are using to scam people.
Do not waste your money and get scammed like I did!! Zoma Sleep and AmeriSleep are both scamming people and are harmful companies. I wish more people were leaving honest reviews about these companies so I could have avoided this whole nightmare.
