Luxurious Abayas and fantastic customer service

I bought two abayas last minute for Eid but they were despatched very quickly and in time for Eid. The courier company and abayabuth both communicated very well to keep me informed of when delivery will be giving me and an approximate time or option to leave in a safe place. The abayas are very good quality and worth the high price tag.

Poor quality

Poor quality for an expensive price. My abaya arrived with the beading coming off and when I contacted them, they said I had to pay return postage since it's a "normal return". But in their policy it says if there's a problem due to their part, the full purchase price will be refunded. They were pushing me for an exchange but at this quality I decided it wasn't worth it.

Edit: They have now updated the policy so they will send an exchange instead of being able to return a faulty item. They kept contacting me to remove my negative review, but this is dishonest and misleading to customers. However they have kindly issued me a full refund now. I'm just disappointed and tired of these modest fashion brands who charge an extortionate "immodest" amount for poor quality clothing.

Exquisite Abayas and Great Customer Service

My cousin referred me to your site when I was looking for a Jilbab. To my surprise, not only did you have beautiful Jilbabs, but also Abayas for young girls my daughter's age and height which are incredibly hard to find, even in Dubai!

What began as a simple search for a Jilbab ended with me joyfully purchasing my daughter's very first Abaya and Jilbab. She was absolutely thrilled, and I was just as excited to get my very first Jilbab too.

I reached out to your customer service via email, unsure if I'd get a response. I was asking about sizing for myself since the standard measurements didn’t quite suit my body type. To my surprise, you replied promptly and sincerely. Your guidance helped me make a confident purchase decision even though I was a bit sad to learn I’d need to adjust the length of the Abaya. I hesitated because I didn't want just anyone altering such a luxurious and beautifully made garment.

Your designs are exquisite and unique. I would love to see your creativity extended to Kaftans and trousers for men and boys as well. Also more design options for girls.

Please also consider offering sizes that cater to fuller figures and shorter heights (I’m a UK 16/18 and 5’3”).

I also have to mention how rich the fabrics felt and the sweet little du’a note included before wearing the clothes was such a thoughtful and touching gesture.

My order also came right on time!

I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience with Abayabuth was so exceptional, I had to share it!

I placed an order just a few days before Eid, and I was genuinely worried it wouldn’t arrive on time. But to my absolute delight, the team at Abayabuth personally expedited my order to make sure it reached me in time — and it did! That level of care and dedication is rare and truly appreciated.

The moment I opened the package, I was blown away by the quality. Damaged with one wear

Ordered a beautiful luxury abaya in April for a family wedding, however by the end of the wedding day, unfortunately the velvet fabric was coming away from the seams on the shoulder, possibly as the embellishment on the abaya was so heavy and weighing down the delicate velvet fabric. I took photos the same day after the wedding and emailed them to Abaya Buth the next day , explaining that as I spent over £150 on this Abaya, I was quite disappointed that it had damaged with just one wear and felt that I won’t get much wear out if it like I hoped for eid and further family/ friends weddings.

I waited a week for a response with no reply and sent a follow up email another week later. Unfortunately I did not hear anything from them again so I phoned them and spoke to a sister who took my order number and confirmed my email address and reassured me that someone will look into this and will be in touch with me the same day, to which I finally heard back the following day;

We hope you are well, we do apologise for the delay in reply.
Thank you for the images, it appears the fabric has pulled away due to stress in that area.
We can try and repair the item for you as best as possible.

I asked if they would send me a returns label to which they replied;

You would need to arrange the return yourself.
Once received back we will repair it as best as possible and then send it back to you.
This may take a few weeks.

Now I understand they do not cover returns costs as part of their returns policy but surely if the item is damaged and clearly faulty they should not expect me to pay further for what was already an expensive abaya. I emailed them again to ask if they would reimburse the cost of the return to which they replied;

Unfortunately we do not cover return shipping costs.
As a gesture of goodwill we will cover the cost of sending the item back to you.

I have not had any further communication from Abaya Buth after this and I have now decided to put the cost of the return towards having it repaired myself to save myself the headache of having to reach out to them further.

Interestingly I have also since researched the terms and conditions on the website and would like to share what I found;

This all sounds like great customer service however in my case Abaya Buth we’re not even willing to credit the returns cost!
I am very disappointed with how this was handled, I never once received an apology for the inconvenience and after my experience I will not be purchasing from them again.

Luxury Redefined – Stunning Abayas and Exceptional Service!

I came across this site while searching everywhere for luxury abayas, and I’m so glad I found it! This was the only place I discovered with truly trendy and versatile designs perfect for modern abayas. I ordered one, and to my surprise, it arrived in less than 5 days all the way to Australia , super impressive!

The team was incredibly responsive and helpful. I made a small mistake while placing my order, but when I reached out to them via social media, they quickly updated everything without any hassle.

The best abayas there are in the market. I have abayas from other companies but I find they don't last as long. Abayabuth abayas are unmatched! Even my daughter loves your abayas! Shes only 7! I’m still waiting for 2 more abayas. I have ordered 5 abayas previously

I received the most Beautiful Abayas

I received the most Beautiful Abayas.
They were delivered in a beautiful box. So neatly wrapped, it felt luxurious to open.
They were sent out so fast and i was happy as it was just in time for Eid!
Came within three days. And i was so well informed before the package arrived.
Very happy costumer.

Worst Experience - Absolutely Robbed

I have had the worst experience which involved the quality of the pieces to the customer service. I have never dealt with a business like this and its heart-breaking to see it being built on Islamic ethos and principles. The abayas are premium prices, so I am expecting durability and quality. I bought the brown embroidery piece, without one wear, the beads had fallen off with a stroke of a hand. I contacted them and they were not very understanding of this but accepted a replacement. I had to pay £40 more to get this replacement and I waited nearly 2 months for this. Apparently it had quality issues so they had to send it back. Repeatedly I stated I wanted my money back and it was my customer right, but they refused. I bought two chiffon abayas just to see the colour variation and sizing. I only wore one to try and sent them back as I wasn't happy with the quality of the chiffon. They replied saying one piece had marks on and the other one had fabric pulled. I accepted the one that had marks to be returned to myself. However, I had no responsibility of the pulled one. These chiffon abayas were over £70. Absolutely ridiculous that a fabric should pull that easy without even proper wear. Now looking at other reviews, there seems to be a trend. I have not been the only one bullied into their way to ensure they get their money. Their communication lacked respect and moral, stating they decided on the final matter and sent the items back. They literally robbed me from time and money. They told me no other customer has had issues like me. How bizarre? If I had issues like this, undeniably another would have. This has now been confirmed by the reviews. Honestly, I am an avid abaya shopper and you can find timeless, more long lasting pieces in other smaller business. Not only that, these will try to take your money in any shape way or form. They don't care for the customer at all. I am only writing this so I can warn other customers, not to fall for their media campaign and premium pricing. You will not have long lasting items, they just a show piece. Please use your money on beautiful abayas elsewhere and support true honest business who actually action Islamic ethos in the way they deal with customers.

EDIT: A timeline does not matter. In the end, you like to cover your mishandling and omit parts out of the story. I would even publish the e-mail trail. Like other customers have experienced, the quality is not on par with their pricing. To clarify it was not one small bead that fell off, it was more than that. Otherwise I would have fixed it myself? The stitching had come undone and it looked tacky. The replacement abaya was told it had quality issues so I had to wait for months for this. During this time, I decided I wanted my money back as I was sick of waiting which is MY RIGHT UNDER LAW. They adamantly refused to refund me. No haya in their dealing with customers. During this time, I had also experienced issues with their chiffon abayas. They have now a Instagram reel in which my abaya with the pulled chiffon is featured. However, there was no display of my "stained" abaya because it was so minimal and not showcase worthy. They are crying over people who actually abuse the return policy but not every situation is like that. I am conscious clear that this wasn't the case. I even asked to talk to someone after I received the returned abayas because there was a NEW pull in the fabric, but they ignored me. PLEASE save yourself and don't have the hassle of wasting your money. It's not that they robbed me of money but they way they manipulate the story, accuse customers and enforce their own ruling which is disgusting. I believe they were hassling me now with multiple calls after they refused communicating me.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take all feedback seriously and would like to clarify the timeline and details regarding your orders to provide full transparency for other customers.

An item was purchased in December 2024, which you initially wanted to return, and we promptly provided you with return instructions. A few weeks later, you informed us that you decided to keep the item as you liked it, though you mentioned one small bead had come off. We were very understanding of this and advised you to send the item to us so that we could reinforce the stitching. However, you preferred to have an alternative item instead, which we agreed to.

You chose a replacement item priced £40 higher, which was entirely your choice, and not a condition imposed by us. A return label was sent to you on January 20th.

On February 17th, you informed us that due to a car accident you had been unable to return the original item but would do so soon. The returned item was not received until March 20th. The replacement item you chose was not available, and as you agreed to wait for it to be restocked, this caused the delay in sending the replacement.

You subsequently placed two additional orders on March 27th and April 9th, both of which were returned in full. One of these returns was processed and refunded without issue. Unfortunately, the other return was received crumpled in a bin bag, without the clear bags the items came in. The items showed stains, fabric pulls, hair, and a noticeable food odour. We ask you to consider how you would feel if we sent items to you scrunched up inside a large bag in this condition. Because the items were not returned in their original, brand-new condition, we were unable to accept this return and the items were sent back to you.

When an item is in the care of a customer, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the items remain in the same condition. If the item is subsequently damaged due to lack of proper care, it cannot be attributed to a lack of quality on our part.

Additionally, you had an order from October 2024 that you wished to return but was outside the stated return timeframe. You explained the delay was due to illness (COVID-19), and we processed a refund as a goodwill gesture.

Regarding your comment about communication and claims of bullying, we want to clarify that our decisions are always made fairly and in accordance with our return policies, which are designed to protect both our customers and our business. The reviews you referenced are from customers with similar experiences where returns were rejected due to items being returned damaged or not in original condition. However, we encourage prospective customers to also consider the many positive reviews—over 100s—where customers have expressed satisfaction with both our products and customer service.

You mentioned that we do not care for our customers and will take money in any way possible. Our long-time customers would say otherwise. If that were the case, we would not have replaced the item for you, nor would we have refunded the order that was returned outside the return timeframe. Furthermore, we would not have been in business for over 11 years.

We pride ourselves on being very transparent throughout this process. Images of the returned items were shared with you, and we are more than happy to share these images and our email thread conversation with other customers upon request to maintain full transparency.

We always aim to resolve customer concerns fairly and in accordance with our policies. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and thank you for giving us the opportunity to clarify these points.

Very happy with my recent purchase from AbayaButh. I purchased a couple of abayas for myself and my niece. The abaya I purchased for myself was initially out of stock but the customer services were very helpful and notified me promptly when it was restocked. The quality of the abaya is really nice and so comfortable and it was worth the wait. My niece was also very happy with her abaya. Thank you AbayaButh :)

Premium Price, Cheap Quality

I was really disappointed with my recent purchase from Abayabuth. One of the abayas — the closed one with a front zip and attached hijab — started bubbling after just one wash. For the price I paid, I expected much better quality. It now looks worn out after only a few uses, and I can’t even wear it anymore.

I also bought the plain black abaya that was advertised as “nursing friendly,” but it’s really not practical for breastfeeding — the zip barely comes down, making it difficult to use as intended.

I was drawn to Abayabuth because of the premium pricing, thinking that would reflect in the durability and design, but unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience. I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I felt this was important to share.

Purchased a sale item and was told I…

Purchased a sale item and was told I can only exchange as per their policy. This is not in line with Consumer contracts regulation; 2013, Product quality rightAct; 2015, and Consumer Protection and Unfair Trading Regulation; 2008. I have highlighted concerns to the company. As a Muslim representing business, the least they could do is follow the law. Highly disappointed. They agreed to refund and I wont be buying anything from them again based on their poor principles and ethics. Really disappointed.

Edit** I received a refund and they have updated their return policy. But they keep emailing and phoning asking for this review to be taken down. Highly unprofessional.

The quality and designs of these abayas are stunningly beautiful. The material is light and airy. In the last 2 months I have bought 6 abayas of different materials and colours and they are all unique. The delivery is smooth and their team is very responsive.
