I learned about AEN while searching for help on YouTube, as I am in the process of completing my PhD. After viewing and using some helpful videos and free resources, I decided to jump on a free exploration call to see if the program was a fit. It definitely is!

There is a wealth of information to get you from 0 to submitted, e.g., deciding on your research topic, writing papers of different kinds (quantitative and qualitative), A-Z for finishing your PhD, and achieving the quality to publish in high-impact journals. There is guidance on using AI ethically and, importantly, managing your energy and mind - caring for yourself as you research/study/write.

There are plenty of coaching calls in different time zones and an interactive supportive community where you can ask questions, help others, have some fun, and gain access to some perks and prices. The coaches are helpful and attentive, and feedback is extensive and supportive to help you move forward. I have learned a lot even after having previously published many papers; there is always an opportunity to improve.

You can choose from different coaching options for excellent support. I enrolled in the Mastermind with Dr Marek Kiczkowiak and highly recommend it!

As a PhD student aiming to publish in top journals, I often struggled with structuring my thoughts, maintaining motivation, and meeting high academic standards. I joined this program hoping to gain guidance and structure.
Before the program, I often felt overwhelmed by the expectations of academic writing. I doubted my ability to write in English (my third language) at a publishable level and lacked the confidence to even get started.
The weekly feedback helped me identify patterns in my writing and clarify my ideas. Now, I feel much more independent. While I know I still have much to learn, and sometimes I still feel overwhelmed. Now, I feel more confident. I recently received just a few comments from my PhD supervisors on my first review paper, which made me feel proud of the progress I've made.
Being surrounded by people who love writing or are committed to writing and sharing their knowledge is deeply motivating.
This was just my experience writing my review paper—one paper I didn’t even want to start, and I finally finished it in three months with this program and the support of my coach!

My experience with Published Researcher (formerly Academic English Now) has been excellent. It really saved my life. My coach was amazing. She provided invaluable and constructive feedback on my dissertation. She reviewed each section of my dissertation and I was able to submit it a few months ago. I couldn't have done it without her.

The academic writing coaching has been a gamechanger for me. I joined in my final year of PhD, and as I work through the modules and attend the coaching sessions, I can see how to correct my writing and improve each time. I am a postgraduate researcher working on qualitative research with communities. Recognising the importance of strong academic writing both in research and as a lifelong skill, I wanted to dedicate time to refining and improving my writing. I signed up for AEN in January 2025, partly as a New Year's resolution to work on my writing, which I have not paid too much attention to previously due to the consistently pressing demands of research and academia.

Through the weekly feedback and guidance, along with much-needed accountability and encouragement from my coach, Lynn, I was able to refine and improve two articles within three weeks!

In research, writing can be neglected and support structures such as AEN can definitely offer valuable improvement to one's writing. It is worth highlighting that signing up for academic writing support does not magically improve one's work. I am zubayer Islam , I have started my journey as a business data analyst. I plan to do something different with my dream and I want to publish a paper in a Journal I met one of the advisers from Academic English now, Lynn Nicks-McCaleb who is a wonderful lady. I got lots of support from her and I boosted my confidence to write something every day. Truly this is one of the best experiences I have had with my supervisor also the AEN community. Everybody was very supportive to me.

AEN was a present I gave to myself, and it was worth every penny (dollar ;) ). No kidding. I am not an academic, but I took on the task of submitting a Paper for a conference among academics - playing with the big boys. I needed guidance, and I received it. My work is not done—it proved to be more tedious than expected, but I am confident I will be able to tie the final loose ends. Thanks to the coaches ( I had two), I am pressing on with confidence. Academic English Now (AEN) is a brilliant platform. As a mid-career academic (tenured associate professor), I wholeheartedly recommend this platform to all PhD students, beginning scholars and even mid-range academics like myself. The materials are professional, and the platform is helpful and user-friendly. Thanks to AEN, I have rediscovered the joy of writing, and this year, for the first time in my lifetime, instead of struggling with publications, I am looking at 10 papers and coauthoring a book by a very reputable publisher. Still, I used my commute time to read and was tempted to send a message about small wins to this lovely community after watching Module 9 Lectures 1-4 on 27/1/2025 as recommended by @Hayden Godfrey … They were fantastic! I finally understood epistemology, interpretivism, and constructivism—concepts I hadn’t learned as clearly as from your videos. Thank you @Hayden Godfrey
I didn’t write to the community earlier because I needed to keep reading and watching while also taking care of my work, family, and kids, along with doing house chores to welcome the New Year. There were the usual rituals, like buying new clothes for the teenagers (a headache, as they took longer time than I bought for myself!).
I woke up early during the New Year to read and write, and today, on the fifth day of the New Year, I finished modifying the introduction, prepared literature outlines, and completed watching Module 8 Lectures 1-4. Thanks @Marek Kiczkowiak , for your excellent videos; you helped solve all my puzzles and provided clear guidelines for me to keep moving forward.
It is a meaningful New Year! In the past, I may not have done much during the festivities, but now I prioritize reading and writing, even though they still come second to my family. I feel great that I can carve out time for my intellectual growth. I've learned to work with more ease and determination.
