Academics Reviews

When the chips are down for whatever reason, you need to know your employer has your back: Academics Ltd, Doncaster certainly has. The manager, her staff and their work ethics are faultless; work is offered with discussion and never pressure and the rate of pay is excellent. I no longer work for any other agency as none provide the level of commitment to its employee like they do.

Mike from academics was very supportive over the past 6 months. Thank you so much

3 cheers for Academics...real people, genuine experience. It's positive and peaceful experience working with Tej from Academics. She's helpful, honest and generous and as an agency their service is one among the vest. Thank you so much Academics for a good experience. Well done ✔️

Joined the agency, never been short of work. Yasmin Boffa has always been understanding to any needs and concerns of mine. Always checks in making sure I have enjoyed my school experience and will find long-term positions in a school where you are happy and enjoying yourself. Highly recommend Academics to anyone looking for long-term or short-term work!

They were efficient, friendly, and I felt completely supported throughout my time with Academics, particularly with Dale. I cannot recommend enough to anyone who is wanting to go into teaching. They give you insights about the schools you are going to as well as cater to your timetable and location. Will miss working with such a friendly bunch.

Emily takes the time to get to know you and understand your work/home situation, then she works around you. She matches my skills to the roles she has available and I've had the best time working in different schools where I feel comfortable and part of the team because of this. Very friendly yet professional and no pressure to take any role offered. Works perfect for me! Thank you Emily. You're a star! Kara

Thank you Tej for finding me the role I was looking for. Tej is honest and reliable. She listened to what I wanted and delivered. Tej never did the hard selling me into a role I wouldn’t be interest in. Negotiated me a great pay rate too! Thank you Tej :)

Poor service and zero responses. They never get back to you

My experience with Academics has always been excellent. Tej is great and very very helpful, she's always there when needed, is extremely efficient and professional. All the team are friendly and lovely to work with. Big thanks to everyone there :)

Academics are amazing.
Very supportive staff. Louis is fantastic, always supportive, helpful and friendly! Always been great at finding me work.
I would highly recommend the agency! Thank you :)

As an aspiring teacher studying education at university, I’ve reached out to Academics to help myself gain and build on that experience, and it has definitely been the best decision I’ve stuck to! With such a great and reassuring supervisor, Mike- behind me, I’ve never had an issue once doing what I’m doing. Mike has especially suited my work schedule with my university timetable which was very ideal for me. He was very supportive throughout and continues on doing so. I now have a comfortable routine doing what I love, gaining the experience I’ve always wanted, and that wouldn’t have been possible without academics.

I applied to Academics to gain experience working with SEN pupils in a primary setting. The entire experience was fantastic. I received placements that were local, long term and great experiences. Liz and her team were there every step of the way. Without hesitation I would recommend them to anyone who would like to work in Education. Amazing!

Jordan was absolutely great. I highly recommend him and Academics. He placed me in a great position in a wonderful school and he managed the whole process so smoothly and with a wonderful positivity.

I came in touch with Academics while searching for a job that would match my skills and expectations. Right from the beginning, Jordan has been a great help to me. His commitment to helping me get the job really impressed me. He offered me fantastic support in preparing me for the interview. The agency was transparent with its conditions and made the process of reference checks very smooth. I am happy with their services.

I've discovered Academics while replying to a job offer that finally matched my skills and expectations. From the moment I've applied to the moment I got the job, Jordan has been on board with helping me. His commitment to helping me get the job really dazzled me. He offered me fantastic support and dedicated a great amount of time preparing me for the interview, giving me pep talks and encouraging me all along the way ! The agency made the process of reference checks as smooth as it can possibly be, and clear.

When I left the job I loved of over 11 years as I had moved to a new area, I was nervous about stepping into a different classroom. From the moment I registered Lucy put me at my ease and helped to build my confidence. For every assignment I received a text wishing me luck and at the end of the day a phone call or text to see how I had got on. I have been kept busy with assignments relevant to my experience since I registered. Having never undertaken supply work previously I can totally recommend it and Academics are the perfect agency to get you started.

Academics are amazing!

They have helped me build my confidence up after it got knocked by a school i used to work at before i seeked agency work, i had tried other agencies and it was a day here and there or midday duties.
Andy and his team at Academics gave me long term work and worked around my personal lifestyle of being a single mum. They dont just send you out on your assignments and thats it, they ring and check in on you to make sure it suits your needs and are happy!
Dont delay, pick up the phone, register with them, they do the rest and within a week you are in work!
I cant thank you guys enough for what and all you have done for me 😊

I had a very helpful and concise onboarding process with the team.
Stephanie was in particular very prompt on assessing my needs and guiding me through the supply teaching process with clear understanding and a real personal touch. I would highly recommend the team.

Academics were great to work with during my employment as a TA in a NW London school. Daniel would regularly check in with me to see how the placement was going, and the team were always very professional with timesheets.
