The worst pharmacy ever

The worst pharmacy ever. I was forced into using them through my new insurance provider. The red tape and constant "dropping of the ball" in trying to obtain my prostate cancer medication has forced me to go outside of insurance for my medications. I cannot trust anything this operation says and I certainly cannot trust that they will deliver my cancer medication in a timely fashion. They are two weeks behind in my delivery. I was able to find my medications in another manner which cost me out of pocket. If I did not go in another direction, I would be two weeks behind in my cancer medication! What kind of heartless operation does this to people?

UPDATE: I just started ordering my drugs from Mark Cuban's Cost Plus online pharmacy. It was a seamless process. I opted to leave my insurance out of the equation and just pay out of pocket. It is worth not having to deal with the anxiety I had while dealing with Accredo! Check it out. Good Luck.

horrible communication

horrible communication. they do not care about the patient or follow up on ANYTHING. the different departments just transfer you between each other and nobody really knows the answer to anything. Truly the worst experience i've ever had with a health/insurance company. and i've had a lot.

Repeated delays causing missed doses

- Wrong information in files, resulting in agents being unable to find me, and needing to repeatedly ask to be looked up by birthdate
- Agents state no prior auth despite Express Scripts having one on file
- Multiple calls where agents say different reasons why there is a delay, until I'm in tears and a supervisor finally notices the claim is "stuck" because a previous rejection must be cleared that no one else noticed
- Injection date is now past due. 4 other specialty pharmacies have never had this problem, and until being switched to Accredo, I had never missed a dose of my meds
- Put on multiple silent holds by front line agents, and then transferred to the post-call survey (meaning the agent disconnected the call)

I should not have to guide this company to do their job. I should not have to escalate to a supervisor in Oncology to figure out a rejection is blocking the order. I should not have to hand carry my prior auth number between Express Scripts and Accredo (they are the same company). I should not have to spend over 6 hours in calls to get the medication I need to maintain my quality of life. I started all of this mid- Nov once I found out I was required to switch from CVS Specialty. It is now Feb. 8, and I still don't have my meds.

This is THE WORST pharmacy I’ve ever…

This is THE WORST pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. I call every day and it’s like Groundhog Day over and over. I paid out of pocket (insurance reimburses me) for medication that is now 3 weeks late. I ask to talk to a supervisor or anyone that can help answer why my meds are delayed and I get nowhere. It’s crazy making!

The worst pharmacy ever!

This is the worst pharmacy ever!!!!!! I hate dealing with these people! No one knows what they're doing!!!! I've been trying to get this medication for 3 weeks. Everytime I speak with someone there I'm being told it's done! Everything is completed and my medication is ordered and on its way. I never get the medication. This place should be put out of business. They're horrible! No one knows what's going on and it's always an issue. I hate racism! But I hate this pharmacy even more!

Double Birds Accredo

If there were less stars, that's what I would've given. The other reviews and summaries are not wrong. Hours upon hours spent on the phone with them, promises made, never happened. The automated system is unhelpful, they do blame the Dr.'s office, they ask "have you missed a dose or at risk of missing?" When you answer "yes," they respond with "would you like to speak with a pharmacist?" You will never speak to a pharmacist and there's nothing to be done except just send the medication. My insurance company selected Accredo for me. POOR experience.

If I cold give 0 stars I would they are the worst company ever they give you the run around blame everyone else that they are waiting on them have crazy review processes before meds can be sent out and them when you finally do get the meds right their system glitches and you have to start right back over. If you had a transplant or can't go without treatment don't get insurance that requires accredo they are the worst and you will end up in the ER.

When calling in it’s a 45 minute wait…

When calling in it’s a 45 minute wait time or longer. This is my second time in 10 days on hold for this long. They have Difficulty running payments and getting refills. I cannot understand how this is acceptable. I’ve read the other reviews. How are they still in business?

There are a bunch of incompetent

There are a bunch of incompetent, rude idiots and I am in a flair because they can’t get their heads out of their butt even my doctor hates them Avoid this company at all costs. I might actually sue because they’re killing my health.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Absolute worst pharmacy EVER. Every single month have issues with my chemo meds. Between them not sending it, canceling the order, forgetting to send it. This time they blamed the weather. Last time they said that my insurance was rejecting it which was also a lie. There’s a class action lawsuit against this company and I strongly suggest anyone dealing with similar issues join into the class action lawsuit. Just google it you’ll find it no problem.

Very disorganized and no contingency

This company has been an ongoing source of frustration. Our insurance requires us to use them, but every time we call, we receive a completely different explanation. They delayed my son’s medication for weeks, first claiming they were waiting on insurance approval—even though our insurer confirmed the approval had already been granted.

Then they insisted my son had a secondary insurance plan he does not have. We had to contact that insurer ourselves and obtain a letter confirming he wasn’t covered. After providing that, the pharmacy suddenly claimed they never had him listed with secondary insurance in the first place.

My son is now two weeks overdue for his medication, and for the past week we’ve been told the shipment is delayed due to a snowstorm in the Southeast. It appears they have no contingency plans for weather or any other disruption that affects shipping.

For a specialty pharmacy handling critical medications, this level of disorganization and lack of preparedness is unacceptable.

Gross incompetence

Accredo Pharmacy has shown a shocking level of incompetence and indifference. My minor child was due for a critical medication yesterday, a medication she needs to manage a serious chronic illness and prevent pain and complications. As of today, Accredo cannot even provide a delivery date.

Let that sink in. A child is left in pain and at risk because this pharmacy cannot manage its own processes.

This was not a last-minute request. Prior authorizations were already approved. We followed every rule, made every phone call, and still ended up with delays, misinformation, and empty apologies. Each representative passes the problem along, while no one takes responsibility and nothing gets done.

Accredo’s failures have real consequences. This is not a delayed sweater or a missed refill for vitamins. This is a child’s health. Their lack of urgency, accountability, and compassion is appalling.

If you are considering Accredo for specialty medications, especially for a child or anyone with a serious condition, be warned. You will spend hours on the phone, receive conflicting answers, and still be left without medication when it matters most. Patients deserve better. Families deserve better. This pharmacy should be ashamed of the harm their negligence causes.

Acredo does not care

I called the company for 7 days Almost every day And sometimes twice a day to get my medication filled They kept promising that it would be filled The next day or in two day .I got the insurance company involved and acredo promised to them next day delivery, it never came. So next day again I called the insurance company and was told it would not be delivered for another 5 days. I paid out of pocket $8000 for CVS specialty to overnight the drug with insurance company promising to pay it back. At this point I have flareup of my medical condition

If there were zero stars, that would be my rating. The operaiotns and processes at Accredo are clearly poor and people are poorly trained. in this most recent case, they had a prior auth for 17 days and continued to say they needed something submitted by the Doctor's office. After getting my Doctors office on the phone, after 40 minutes, they were able to tell us that they had run the claim and were paid for it -- but their system still wasnt filling the Rx. Furthermore, their complaint process in no way points to a desire to improve the failed processes or communicate resolution to the patient. With service like this, and a lack of accountability - from Payors and Drug companies, who are paying them $5200/ mo for my Rx alone - this will continue. I cannot believe that they operate so poorly for a regulated industry. They should be investigated.

I have been trying to get a medication for almost a month.

I have been trying to get a medication that I take every 2 weeks from this pharmacy. My insurance changed so I had to switch to them. (NOT MY CHOICE). I was due to take the medication on 1/24/26 and they have been working on filling my prescription since 1/9/26. They informed me finally that I would receive it on 1/29/26. They call me on 1/28/26 and my prescription has been stopped due to copay card rejecting due to wrong date of birth. I called the copay card and they state no claim has been filed. Not they are telling me it is scheduled for this Saturday 1/31/26 if it can be delivered due to the possible weather. How long do I have to go without this medication because I have not faith that it will come on Saturday.

Worst Pharmacy Ever!

I would give zero stars if possible. This might be the worst company...period. If you have a choice in pharmacies, choose anything else. I warn you, your experience with Accredo will be horrific. I spend hours and hours on the phone with them correcting their errors. This isn't a one-time adventure. Seemingly every refill, I have to deal with their complete incompetence. They put my health at risk by delaying shipment, and they have no reason to delay that shipment whatsoever. Run away!
