Wow! What an excellent company to deal with. I ordered a waterproof sports jacket as an xmas gift for my son. It was not opened & tried on till Xmas day, when he discovered it was too small. There was then a bit of panic to send an email to customer services requesting an exchange for a larger size within their warranty period. I discovered I was on the last day of the warranty so sent the email on Xmas Day! fully expecting not to hear from the company till the following week when they were trading again. Freya answered my email on the day (Xmas day 😲). I was offered a larger size for an additional shipping cost and advised to keep the original order, again Wow! I have never experienced such EXCELLENT customer service, THANK YOU Freya ❤️. The replacement has now been received 😀.
The jacket has not been tried yet as my son is currently away but looks larger and of the same quality. In agreement with other reviews in respect of delivery times, order well in advance 👍.

I ordered an item of clothing believing they are based in Europe as stated on their website. They are actually in China and so takes weeks to get delivery. When I did get item very poor quality and sizing very small. Cost me £23 to return to China and still awaiting refund. Avoid at all costs!!! Update: Over 2 months now still no refund. AVOID!!

A fabulous outdoor jacket for my son. The first, medium, jacket didn’t quite fit his arms (too short). Active Peaks, without quibbling,immediately sent a large size, which was a perfect fit for him.

Really snug warm balaclava hat

The garment that arrived was well made and looked good but the sizing was rubbish. Ordered for my father who is 96 and of slight build. They advertised that it was a regular fit and had room for layering. I should have looked more closely at the sizing. Even if I had ordered 3XL I don't think he could fit layering underneath. 30 day money back guarantee but you have to pay the cost of sending it back and then they will decide if they are going to refund you. Then an email saying for an extra £9.95 you can keep the item (sustainability cited) and they will send another. I am putting this down to a costly mistake having spent £80 so far.

Although the original order was short shipped when I advised you Freya was excellent in resolving the issue and the missing item arrived soon after. Many thanks for resolving and not ignoring the issue I had.

Very helpful returns service

Dishonest, unreliable, doggy. The reviews are probably fake. I was waiting for over a month and the item never arrived.

I bought a sun hat for £25. In the pictures, it looked decently made, rugged, in short - a decent £25 hat. It took AGES to arrive, and then what I received was something that I would have laughed at being charged £1 for at the worst street market on the Khao San Road. It is the very cheapest, misshapen Chinese import piece of garbage I've ever had the misfortune to lay eyes on. It fits like the worst of Amazon fancy dress. It looks like a child drew a hat that then came to life during a forbidden satanic ritual. For £25. Avoid these charlatans at all costs. They've offered a 20% refund and keep the hat, or that I pay the postage to return it to China. I don't know which is worse. In the time it's taken to write this review, I could have earned the money to pay for what the hat should actually cost a thousand times over.

feels like a scam? Ordered a shirt on 10th Dec, no one from their team seemed to be in touch with their delivery supplier when on 30th Dec I asked where it was. Then the shirt arrived with no mark/logo of Active Peaks. It was supposed to be men’s XXL and it fit me well as a S woman. I asked for a refund - no paper was attached with order numer or anything inside the box. nothing online other than their policy. They 3 times offered me replacement ignoring my ask for a refund paper. Awful experience

I’ve now spoken with customer services. On the plus side they were very engaged with responding however some of their responses were a bit odd and they are resolute in making it virtually impossible for you to get a refund. For example, even though the Netherlands is the stated location of the returns warehouse, apparently this is brand new and not set up yet so returns are still needing to be sent to China. Anyway, long story short, I ran out of steam and accepted a discount and a replacement of the faulty item. I would have preferred to return for full refund but this really isn’t an option when you will need to pay customs just to get the items back to their returns warehouse in China. They will not provide a free returns label even for faulty items.

I really wished I’d done more research before buying from active peaks. Thought it was a genuine European company but it was clear from the quality of the goods that it is just a front for cheaply made Chinese products (they arrive in plastic bags with the remains of Chinese labels which have been ripped off to, I imagine, try to conceal the fact that this is where they have come from). Items not as described, poor sizing, thin poor quality materials, thin soles on the shoes, strong smell of glue as soon as you open the package, loose threads, missing fixings such as toggles, not suitable for the uses stated on the website (like “hiking”). The kind of stuff you can buy from any market but through this company, you pay prices that should buy you legitimate items. Really disappointed, £175 for stuff that would cost about £50 if you bought from somewhere else. They should be ashamed of themselves. Buyer beware, this is not a shop for anyone intending to actually use these items for outdoor activities.

I'm very happy with the product, with the prize, the deliver time of the product even thought was a very busy time - Christmas and New Year. Thank you and all the best with your business!!!

Absolutely perfect hat for the safari in am going on this month. Sturdy enough, while still being comfortable. Love the fact you can adapt it too e.g. clipping the sides up.

I bought a shirt but it was too small - there was no sizing guide. I wrote in about it. They added the sizing guide and sent me a replacement. Good responsive service - would have been 5 star if the sizing guide was there in the first place. Good selection for what I was after
