agreed on a price of £210 at the start
When it came time to pay, it increased to £252

They asked if this was okay, I said it wasn't
then just went on to put the transaction through anyway

edit: I've just Googled how to do the work he did, and he wasn't even using the correct tools, just half arsed his way through it

He complained about the wall being bent, I asked if this was normal, he said it was (I know nothing about joinery)

After everything else happening, I've checked the walls with a spirit level, and there is no bending in the wall.

I'm now concerned that it will fall off, and they'll say there was something wrong with the plasterboard in the first place

The installation was also not completed. He half arsed made a comment for me to finish up part of it as he was leaving.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Company does not respect people’s time and need to improve customer communication.
Here is our experience with this company. Booked a time to come and quote TV install. We chased several times during the day and then finally received confirmation that they would not be able to attend (it was 3pm by this time).

Quote time rearranged for 6 days later. Quote discussed and agreed.

We then booked the install time 6 weeks in advance as the timing was important to our project.

We confirmed 4 days prior and we were informed we would receive an appt time no later than 10am on the day. Once again no communication from the office, we had to chase them and at 11am we were informed that the appt was cancelled due to illness.

Some easy improvements could be made to have a positive customer experience. As a result we have wasted time working with this company and have rebooked with an alternative as we cannot trust they will turn up. Save your time & frustration. Book with home vision instead, who also did the job cheaper.

Ash wall mounted my TV for me, he kept me informed of his arrival time, was very tidy caused no mess at all and I’m very happy with the job. Would highly recommend

We had a new aerial fitted for four rooms. Alma the engineer explained everything clearly. He showed me afterwards how everything was working correctly. He was very polite and helpful.

Problem sorted but no estimste given as advertised. No receipt or paperwork from engineer. Requested receipt by phone ok but no pricing. Requested itemised bill 4 times. The 2 items on receipt were £150 + vat each. No call out fee but £89 + vat added to bill for diagnosis. Our signature was forged on receipt. Pricing of both items very suspect.

We have been trying to contact these non stop without any proper response as we were told we would receive a quote to have our aerial which was barely hanging on taken down only when the man came he took it down which took less than 5 minutes then asked us to pay £180. We had to pay at the time as he had essentially done the work but we were very taken aback at the cost for him to literally climb up a ladder, grab it and come back down in 2 minutes. Therefore, i contacted them asking them to explain how they broke the cost down to justify it costing £180 numerous times which they have not done. We have been absolutely taken for a ride and ripped off so are not happy at all. Funny they can’t provide us with a justification for this cost. Absolutely disgusting, do not use!

This is a national company who allegedly cover my area in Glossop.Communication by customer services was good but I was let down by the engineer who the company had clearly overbooked.I was provided with a slot the following day after booking and informed the engineer would phone me with a morning time.This did not happen and I phoned customer services to establish the position.I was then given an afternoon slot and again received no phone call from the engineer.Having waited in all day customer services phoned to cancel the vague appointment at 4.50pm reassuring me the engineer would attend the following day and would be phoned by the engineer to provide a time.By 9.30am the following day I had heard nothing so again contacted customer services to ask them to speak directly to the engineer.They phoned me back within 20 minutes to say the engineer could not attend.At that point I wasted no further time on this shambles of a company and secured a local company instead of one pretending to cover my area.

The Engineer arrived on time as quoted, he was efficient, professional and explained everything that needed doing.
We have been very pleased with the work completed.

Not happy with the company attitude just middlemen on commission the engineer was brilliant tried to resolve problem not sure of result yet

I was promised a visit the same day but that didn't happen and it was rebooked for the following morning. He called and said he couldn't come till the afternoon, but after I said we would be out he made it that morning. Once here, he did a thorough job to diagnose the fault, explaining and showing me at each stage. We finally needed a new aerial and cabling which he fitted rapidly and finished when he had said he would, and its been fine since then.

We are a residential home and we had problems with all our TV;s we called this company and they were here in an instant, it did take a couple of visits to get it right but their engineers were very friendly and very helpful, we would recommend this company.

I just moved to a new build house and needed a TV aerial installed. Found the company online and less than 2hrs later the installer had been to my house and carried out the work. What a service…. delighted !!!

I'm afraid it's not a company I can recommend. These people are basically middlemen based in Scotland. Contacting head office and getting booked in is the easy part. However the quality of service from the contractors they use varies.

I phoned up Friday morning and was promised somebody would be there same day. Several hours went by and I had to call them to see if anyone was turning up.

Someone eventually came out and just said we needed a new aerial quoting £220+VAT. He didn't even look at the wiring inside.

We fixed the problem ourselves (so much for needing a new aerial) but still wanted someone to check the cabling if there were any faults, so rang another company (Paul Davies). Lo and behold on Monday morning the same bloke trying to rip us off from before showed up.

You're better off using engineers who actually own their business and more inclined to keep their customers.

Guy came out same day. Very polite & explained all options to me & gave me quote options on the spot. Work completed to very high standard before he left

Despite a problem with engineers off sick and on holiday, the installation company pulled the stops out and diverted an engineer from another location to complete the job, he arrived on time, very thorough and finished the job in no time at all, I'm very happy with the end result👍

Despite a short delay, this company completed the job in less time than local installers could do, I have no hesitation in recommending A&S Express
