AMAZING if you pay on time and have no problems. TERRIBLE and will completely screw your credit if you're 1 day late. TERRIBLE at trying to help you resolve a problem. They don't care.
The company is vague about payment terms and seem to have no consistency with payment plans. Their interest rate borders on usurious. I never felt comfortable with how they tracked my payments because their website is confusing.
I have come to realise this bank does not appreciate good paying customers. My highest purchasing power was $6500 and i always paid a day ahead or the due date. Then i realised if you pay 5 or 6 days earlier you save a little. As i paid the payments they always gave me purchasing power up around the $6500 then i started paying all my loans a week in advance up to my next paycheck. Well they havent given me any purchasing power at all says its all tied up in loans. My loans are down to $4200. So as i said they dont like you paying ahead. I always pay on time and now a week in advance and the still wont give me my purchasing power back. Just to let everyone know now i use AFTERPAY , ZIP , KLARNA , AND SEZZLE. I have all the purchasing power i need and give them my business. Check them out.
I really liked Affirm in the beginning, but when my cell number changed they said the I had to place my Drivers Liscense on my cell phone and send the picture. Well my state has almost totally removed color from the ids so it just won’t work. I went rounds with cs for almost 45 minutes and that is the only way. I offered to do a video with me and my id, but that wasn’t good enough. I would love to pay off one of my loans, but can’t get there to do it. I feel sick to think I have to go through the customer service again. I told them they have lost a customer. Guess they don’t care.
If I could give 0 stars. Again, you should be a shamed of yourself. You tell a customer to reach out to JS, Customer Care and follow up, 4 disputes and in the email the company said they would refund me and you favor the scam company, over a customer that has been loyal. Screwed up.
When it works, it’s good. When it doesn’t, it’s terrible. The resolutions are never helpful. I went on the app, found the store I wanted to purchase from. Shopped online through the affirm app. Went through the checkout process using affirm. Selected the plan and confirmation of my virtual card appeared on the screen. But there was an error that read “error displaying card, refresh.” It did not work. Called the 800# and put through updating app, restarting app, restarting my device, nothing worked. Only to be told there wasn’t a virtual card, it was cancelled. Who cancelled it?? 10 minutes of frustration, irritation. I have over $6K “buying power” 😵💫🙄💩🗑️

My only regret in filling out this review is that it doesn't have negative stars. I paid in FULL for exercise equipment that turned out to be the wrong size and I returned it within the company's 30-day window. The company, in turn, processed a full refund within three business days and forwarded the refund to Affirm.
Affirm, in turn, emailed me an "April Loan Statement" on April 20, confirming receipt that the entire refund(FULL payment for the equipment). According to Affirm I had apparently decided to open a "personal loan"-with monthly payments that had been due since March!
When I contacted Affirm to close this "personal loan" and get my refund I was informed that I would not be able to do so until May 15th, a "30 day wait period from Affirm's receipt of my full refund".
After 33 minutes and being shuffled to five points of Affirm contacts I was referred to Shopify! Shopify?
To put this in perspective we're talking about a FULL PAYMENT(not a personal loan) of $375 made in March, a refund was issued on April 15 and due to me by April 22.
I've escalated this within the exercise equipment on a number of occasions and will continue to do so.
Suffice to say if the name Affirm financial services arises in the context of any transactions *avoid* at all costs. To arbitrarily convert full payment for merchandise into an unauthorized personal loan is entirely unethical-if not illegal-and a warning signal about any organization that would utilize Affirm for their services.

Worst company ever, fraud, customer service horrible first of all can’t understand what they’re saying because of their accents, try to make a payment, and they kept saying that there was some kind of fraudulent on my account. I was unable to make a payment kept transferring me to seven different people the worst company ever do not use Affirm.
I am a small vending business owner who relies on payment plans to manage expenses. I decided to try Affirm, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
I received the wrong merchandise from a seller and promptly reported the issue, providing clear proof and photos showing the item I was supposed to receive versus what was actually delivered. Despite this, no resolution was provided.
What’s most concerning is that Affirm did nothing to assist me, even though I never received the correct item I paid for. Customer service did not take the time to review my evidence or fully understand the situation. I felt completely ignored by customer service throughout this whole process.
As a business owner, this lack of support is unacceptable. It appears that Affirm prioritizes the seller over the buyer, even when the buyer has clear documentation of an error.
I would strongly recommend considering other payment options, as there are many companies that offer better customer protection and support. My rating is below a one star!

Unfortunately, today I had a couple of questions about my Affirm account and called them. It was only the second time since starting my account. My first call to them was maybe a year ago but the result was the same. Customer service is terrible, and over just trying to ask a simple question. They are rude, condescending, and treated me like I am stupid. Affirm had no competition when I first opened my account, now there are dozens of loan apps. I did not deserve to be treated so poorly and there won’t be a third time. They have lost a good customer, (probably MANY).

Let me first say I’ve used Affirm for several purchases with no problem. But made the mistake of purchasing a bracelet for $564.84 from Adina Eden (Brooklyn, NY) using Affirm. The bracelet arrived in pieces. I promptly returned the item using a shipping label provided by Adina Eden, and they confirmed receipt of the returned item, but insist they can only offer a gift card. Given that experience, I will never purchase anything from this company again. So a gift card is no use to me. I then contacted Affirm, whose answer was “we honor the store’s policy”. So I am to pay off a loan where no merchandise or service was provided. Makes no sense to me. I will be contacting the Consumer Protection Office, the State Attorney General, the BBB, and the Federal Trade Commission in the hope that one of them can provide an explanation I can understand and accept.

I have used affirm several times and had no issues but I made an order which didn’t go through so I resent it again. Affirm is charging me even though it didn’t go through on the merchant side. I was told I need email to prove it didn’t. I talked to the merchant twice and they confirmed through email it didn’t. I sent to affirmative as requested. I was still charged. I did the AI chat and I asked for a person since the “AI” could not solve my problem. I talked to four other supposedly people. They asked exact same questions, which I answered with no resolution. I ended up calling I talked to someone again unable to help me asked for a supervisor talked to him was told to reach out to merchant. This whole process was over two hours six people and my problem is still unresolved. To say I am frustrated is the understatement of the year!! HORRIBLE customer service!!!!

I’m extremely disappointed with how Affirm handled my situation. My card was suddenly shut down due to “suspicious activity,” and I was told the transactions would be treated as fraud. Instead of following what I was told is the standard fraud process, Affirm filed disputes on the transactions and I ended up receiving chargebacks for all of them.
When I asked for clarification, I was told that this is not how fraud cases are normally handled, which only added to the confusion and frustration. The lack of consistency and transparency made the entire experience stressful and time‑consuming. I expected better communication and a clearer process from a company that handles financial services.

I have had multiple purchases made on buy now pay later when I've never even had affirm account. It's now totalling over 700 I've reached out by email to affirm was ment to get a response in 24hrs but I didn't. I've rang today as more purchases are being made. They said they will send me an email to report still nothing. Very angry I am a single parent and all these things are being made on my name
