No option for zero stars

No option for zero stars. Don’t use the service unless you’re absolutely sure they will approve you. In my case they did not, which is their right and not the issue. The concerning issue was that even though they declined my request, they still put a hold on that amount of money from my bank account and told me it would take 3 to 5 days before that hold be taken off. So now I can’t use my own money for 3/5 days. Unethical and most likely illegal. When I called to get this issue resolved, I was told that there’s nothing they can do and they are sorry that their resolution is not satisfactory.

Difficult refund experience

Affirm is fine if you keep the item you ordered. However, if you return the item the merchant refunds it to AFFIRM’S VIRTUAL CARD and the money doesn’t always get refunded to the original form of payment. Twice now have had to call Affirm to get my money, call the merchant to find out where it went, and then had to dispute payments to Affirm on my credit card. Not worth it!!!!

DO NOT USE AFFIRM.

They will decline transactions after taking a down payment. Customer service will then transfer you 20+ times and still have no answer. You will lose money. It is a scam.

Absolute awful company do not use

Absolute awful company do not use. I will never use them again they are a scam company. I told them I never received a product and they still favoured on behalf of the fraudulent store. Avoid at all costs

Identity madness!!!

Tried setting up my account and keeps saying can not verify identity, called customer service and talked to multiple representatives over the last three days and no one has been able to help, gave them all information needed to verify my identity, why is this so hard to do!!!!!! and website saying now to many attempts, to try again later, can believe customer service can not figure this out!!!! customer service is a joke!!!

🖕affirm.Have a substantial amount of money, supposedly, available to me.I've NEVER been late,missed or skipped a payment.I had committed payments due to eBay... applied for AND was approved for a $200 loan.When I tried to make payment to eBay it was DECLINED 3 times.Called affirm 4 times...each time got a different NON-english speaking HALFWIT on the ph.AND got BS'd all 4 times!Long story short...they approved the loan but blocked payment FOR NO REASON. Interest rate is astronomical and customer support...I assume you're talking to someone in a grass hut in nigeria! Regardless of your credit and dedication to them they apparently give you credit if and when they feel like it.SCUMBAG company.

Poor Customer Service

Poor customer service I challenged a purchase of 4k from a scammer that provided no service and no contract was signed. Affirm failed to provide any proof as to why my dispute was closed

I have contacted customer support 4 times with the same result they provide no proof of the purchase but yet they close my case

An update from my dispute after months…

An update from my dispute after months of emails and calls to affirm with documentation as to why I shouldn’t have been charged sales tax on shoes. They didn’t rule in my favor becaue “lack of evidence”. Meanwhile, I sent emails directly from the NJ sales tax division. Avoid using Affin at all costs, they are the worst to deal with, even when presenting documents/evidence.

SCAM

They are not helpful . I ordered an item never received it tried to dispoute the payment that affirm took and it is an act og God to get them to help you. MY ADVICCE TO ANYONE THAT THINKS AFFIRM IS LEGIT THEY ARE NOT. Do no use them.

Horrible company

I bought a dress from Kay Unger. It was supposed to arrive on 11/21/25 for an event. It was not delivered until 11/24/25. I returned the dress to Kay Unger & I was told that I would receive a full refund. Affirm has been given the delivery confirmation & will still not refund my $$. It has been an absolute nightmare. They have reported this on my credit report as unpaid.

Got a loan from affirm

Got a loan from affirm, for a hotel room, in april 2022. When I got to the hotel they said I needed a deposit. I did not have it, so I was turned away. I still had to pay on the loan. I contacted affirm, disputed this multiple times, with paperwork, called the hotel, and never received the money for the loan back. I did this all immediately and then every few months i would follow up, only to receive the same runaround from affirm Now I have outstanding charges for other loans and im not paying them because they never paid me my money back! Kiss my butt affirm!

Not Reliable I don't recommend using it!!

When I signed in to my Affirm account, I saw that the one I have recently been paying doesn't show the actual merchant's name. It was a generic name "Affirm Virtual Card retailer". So I called affirm to find out the exact merchant name and when they couldn't tell me, I said it must be a fraudulent charge. They said they will investigate. The next day I got an email from them saying that since the charge was associated with my account, then I am responsible for it. I called my credit card company whose card was being charged by Affirm and filed a dispute. Hopefully at least my credit card company will not make me responsible for the charge which is clearly fraudulent. I wouldn't recommend using this company for your installment payments.

Fraud

Affirm is criminal. This company allowed someone else to use my daughter's account and they didn't investigate, they tried to hold her responsible. They refused to close or freeze the account as well, making it possible for further fraudulent transactions. This is the absolute worst financial institution I've ever encountered.

not very clear of how your refund works

i purchased 3 items in swim outlet and affirm had this functionality of paying it 4x. I personally paid it in 1 time for the total amount. they way Affirm do their business, if you returned an item they will NOT REFUND back to your account. they will deduct the refund amount back to your original amount. they are NOT CLEAR their rules

2nd worst customer service I have had ever!

Totally messed up my travel payment and blamed everyone else, and did nothing/offered nothing to help. Their solution? Cancel everything. When I am only a few weeks away from the trip? That makes no sense.

Never received product!!

Bought pair of $300 Sunglass’s from an approved Vendor and They Nvr showed up! Email says they were delivered but the $300 Glasses were sent w no sig req. after 1.5 hrs on hold Vendor says sometimes USPS marks a pkg as delivered but may not deliver for upto a couple days, Been a week now and I can’t get touch w the Vendor.. So I called Affirm and they said 60-90 days for a Resolution! Garbage Company , DON’T DO BUISS. W THEM ,They Treat customers like Crap and Protect the scammer Vendors.

I was being charged $104 for the…

I was being charged $104 for the initial loan payment on a trip that was canceled through Expedia. I canceled my Expedia trip less than 3 hours after booking and received confirmation emails from Expedia for ALL trip-related cancellations. Apparently, Expedia does NOT communicate this readily enough to Affirm, so Affirm still sends a charge for the $104 up front payment. I went through their website to dispute the charge. VERY inconvenient process, which resulted the website returning an error. After resubmitting again, the dispute went through. They still say I'm liable for $3 which is bull**** since they loaned NOTHING. I will NEVER again book through Expedia or use Affirm.
