Relieving
My daughter and I were thoroughly satisfied with the way our questions were answered. Gabriel Jimenez laid out everything that's involved in the cremation so simple that we were surprised that it was NOT so involved, as funeral arrangements are. Kate Costa walked through any questions we had.She gave us her personal number and asked us to call her any time,which we did. When she did not answer, she called us back right away in a timely manner. We ALWAYS felt connected and involved.

Very easy and satisfying process experience. Peace of mind that when end of life occurs there is a prepaid answer and course of action in place.

Working with After was easy, streamlined and my contact person was extremely helpful. I appreciated the ease of completing paperwork, the ability to complete it online, and I only received a few follow up calls asking clarifying questions. This was a good thing during a most painful time.

I appreciate that me and my kids got to choose a few items of sentimental value to be cremated with my husband.

We feel so fortunate to have found After.com following the death of our sister.. Isaac made it effortless at a sad and confusing time. He was so wonderful to work with. Not only was he understanding and experienced but he was compassionate, kind and always helpful. He returned my calls within minutes which I so appreciated. For such a sad time...it was a wonderful experience working with Isaac at After.com.

I deeply regret choosing this company
I deeply regret choosing this company. From the very beginning it was nearly impossible to get a hold of my designated "care specialist" James. Multiple unanswered phone calls and voice mails just to make initial contact. It took me insisting that I be put in touch with a different specialist to get a call from James.
But the worst part was waiting five weeks for my mother's ashes. I made so many phone calls inquiring about delivery of the ashes, and every single time I got a different excuse why the delivery couldn't be set up. It took a threat of suing them for emotional damage (which I still may do) to get a delivery of her ashes. A delivery of which they did not "plan" with me. Fortunately my adult son happened to be home at the time to take the unexpected delivery.
I laid awake many nights over the last three weeks wondering if they even HAD my mother's remains, or if they had dumped them in the river or something.
Never ever ever again. Buyer beware.
And to clarify- when I finally got her ashes it said she had been cremated three weeks prior to eventual delivery. I ended up burying an empty urn (a month after her death which I had thought would be plenty of time). Now I have to go back to the cemetery and have them retroactively add her ashes to the urn we buried at her service.
Now to secure her death certificates from After.com....
Update- the response from After.com claims that they were waiting for a private urn delivery. Early in the process I asked James if I could ship my own urn for my mother's ashes to be placed in. He did not know but promised to "get back to me" on this, which he NEVER did. Consequently I did not pursue this as an option and the concept of using an urn purchased by me was never a part of the equation or any conversation about the delay in delivery of ashes.
I ended up having to transfer my mother's ashes to the urn I purchased for her *after* we had placed the urn in the niche.
