When I first got my airthings a year or so ago it was great. The company then released a new app which is not compatible with my model so I can no longer use it.

Update: the customer service centre has fixed my issue and the device is happily working correctly again. I find the radon measurements extremely helpful.

Il sensore CO2 soffre di un grave problema di calibrazione "hardware": legge costantemente 100/150 ppm in più del reale. Messo all'aria aperta (dove la CO2 è 420 ppm), il dispositivo si ostina a segnare oltre 500 ppm. Questo rende inutili le automazioni e l'analisi della qualità dell'aria.

Ciò che mi spinge a scrivere questa recensione negativa, però, è l'assistenza. Ho fornito prove tecniche dettagliate dopo aver testato due diverse unità per un totale di oltre 3 settimane (incluso reset e ricalibrazione). La loro risposta? Un muro di gomma. Continuano a ripetere che "serve tempo per la stabilizzazione" e che le mie sono "osservazioni a breve termine", negando l'evidenza di un sensore che fisicamente non riesce a leggere il valore zero.

Invece di riconoscere un difetto nel lotto o nel sensore scelto (Cubic vs Sensirion), preferiscono inondare il cliente di risposte pre-impostate. Ho effettuato il reso definitivo. Sconsigliato a chi cerca affidabilità tecnica.

L’enregistrement du sommeil ne fonctionne plus après 3 mois de mise en pause sans avoir coupé l’alimentation électrique. C’est un produit très cher pour un fonctionnement aléatoire.

I have five Airthings plus in the same room and all of them shows different values, up too several thousands of ppm sometimes.
Airthings is a total scam.

Products are great (hence the 2 stars). But their support looks like some lazy dudes trying to check their emails once per month and with irrelevant answers. They also confused me with another customer twice even though they had all my data and purchase history. This raises concerns about their GDPR policy.
Finally, they don’t seem to value customer feedback. A bright future ahead, just like Sonos, most certainly.

My predecessor handed over five units of Corentium Pro purchased in 2023. It takes two different apps to manage the units, no one can find them. Norwegian invention that was sold to the USA where everything was lost. We throw away all units and buy another brand with a good reputation. I am an indoor climate engineer.

Do not buy the wave mini. It does not connect. Customer service just keep going round in circles with you wasting your time. The best place for the mini is the bin.

Purchased an Airthings Wave Radon Detector, and so far so good. Easy to install and working fine. Customer service was excellent, with a quick e-mail response. Shipped from US to Spain through Amazon without problems, no issues with customs or taxes, delivery was as agreed but slow.

I've personally loved their products and would recommend. Been an owner of one of their air tools for a year now. Accurate and no issues! Thank you.

I had an excellent experience with the products and with the support. My Radon View screen stopped working. I opened a case via the app and, by sharing invoice (rightfully so) and informations, Don provided me a new replaced unit.
Moreover, the device works nicely and the app if pretty good.

I bought a Mini and tried to get it to connect to either a View Plus or a View Radon through Smartlink, without success. It won't connect and I have since tried with another two Minis with the exact same issue.

I reached out to support early and got nothing but delaying questions for information that I've already provided. It's been weeks without any actionable help and now they seem to just don't answer at all.

Save yourself the problem and don't buy anything from them!

It seemed to work, but there is no way to tell its accuracy. It stopped working after 6 months, even after I changed the batteries and hit the reset button numerous times. Customer service would not do anything to help without my receipt, which I looked for but could not find. So, no help.

Produktet er ok og pæn. Den er dog ikke så brugbar som jeg havde forventet. Det er tit ikke muligt at se her og nu værdier da synkroniseringen ikke sker så tit. Selvom man manuelt synkroniserer kan det sagtens være 30 min forsinket. Fordelen er at der både er fugt, co2, temperatur, voc og radon i en enhed.

Its as close to a scam you can get without being illegal

I'm surprised to see the negative reviews regarding customer support! We have been using two Corentium units for over 7 years with no issues. They are very handy to have. One of the units began reading an error message so we emailed Airthings directly. Every communication was replied to promptly and they were very helpful in resolving the problem.

Corentium Pro worked with PC-based app. Does not work at all with Smartphone apps. I heaved it into the dumpster, even though it set me back $1200 four years ago. Customer service non-existent. Canadian incompetence at its worst!

It all sounds great on the website and you can buy some monitoring hardware, at a premium that you expect to be easy to use and reliable.

Airthings is neither. The sensor unit WILL NOT WORK without their APP, and their APP is terrible. If you can get past the constant crashing you'll then find that the APP won't work without registering and demands internet access. Sign-up using a disposable email, and finally you can enable your device so the display will show readings instead of "Add Device".

The App that I was forced to use, is apparently no longer supported or maintained - which means in future versions of iOS/Android it will completely stop working making everyone's devices worthless - this is why you need to avoid anything that won't function without an APP. I normally do but this fast isn't given on the website.

That said, even after fighting your way through the gauntlet, it'll then only last a week before it stops reading anything and needs a return.
