Ok here is an update on a review I left on 10 Apr 2026 which will be copied and pasted below this. A few weeks back I went to Harrods to do a perfume haul and I got my noise on xerjoff alexandria ii at last what a beautiful fragrance I brought it right there and then
. I even got the chance to meet the perfumer. Dave I fished your take on alexandria i out of the bin and took it with me to compare, You are not even in the same universe as of your take on it I even asked the perfumer to smell it.
I won't repeat his remark on it but let’s say he was not impressed. When you have the perfumer tell you how bad yours is you really do have a problem

There is nothing bad about about the service I want to make that clear 10/10. I own a £15,000 fragrance collection, I have smelled thousands of fragrance over the years and some I'm just not keen on, but I wear them all the same. I brought Alexander The Great
Inspired by Xerjoff Alexandria II and my hopes were high. When I got this I sprayed it on that's was my first mistake.
One word to sum up this Fragrance and I never have use this word ever before suming a fragrance up...It was RANCID. My wife even run away from me it was that bad and no I'm not joking. This is a risky,risky,risky blind buy. Be it all of 30 odd quid. I realy had high hopes for this house if this is what they have to offer it's not for me. I have never put a fragrance in the bin before This went straight in it,it was that bad.I do not think I will order anything from them again sorry to say. But I wish them all the very best.
Edit: Dave it is clear you can not handle the Truth and can not handle criticism at all you are just full of yourself grow a spine. I met the perfumer up on the 6th foor in Xerjoff boutique and he did smell your so called take on Alexandria ii I think the words dog shit was used at least twice. You seem to get amused a lot, may be you should spend more time on your fragrances instead of putting out rubbish.
You do not have a clue what the real Alexandra should smell like. Your take on it is total garbage and an outright embarrassment and a insult to the real thing, and by the way my fragrance collection now sits at 18k that 2 thing you got wrong. Good luck Dave you are going to need it!!

We were quite amused to read that you managed to fish our bottle out of the bin—where you stated it was discarded back in April—just to take it on a trip to London months later. Carrying a bottle that has spent three months in household rubbish to present it at a luxury retail counter is certainly a unique approach to fragrance evaluation.
It is also genuinely fascinating that the world-renowned master perfumer of the original scent happened to be manning the shop floor during your visit. As a point of fact, luxury retail staff are strictly prohibited from comparing customer-supplied perfumes on the shop floor in case the interaction is being used for unauthorized advertising. Furthermore, it goes without saying that a sales assistant working on commission is certainly never going to tell you that the £30 bottle you brought in is better than the highly expensive original they are actively trying to sell to you.
Here in reality at Alexandria Fragrances, our focus remains on crafting high-quality, Extrait-concentration inspired perfumes. **Alexander The Great** is meticulously hand-blended to capture the famously challenging, deeply animalic, and woody oud profile of the designer masterpiece. Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback following our recent email correspondence.
I am quite surprised to read this new claim regarding a stained blouse. When you initially contacted our customer service team to demand a refund, claiming your 10ml travel spray of Sweetest Aoud had leaked, you provided photographs showing a completely clear liquid surrounding the bottle. As our patrons know, Sweetest Aoud is a highly concentrated proper Extrait and is naturally a very deep, rich red colour—it is physically impossible for it to leak as a clear liquid.
Despite this glaring discrepancy in your provided evidence, I immediately authorised a return. I offered to refund your entire purchase, plus the full cost of your return postage, so our team could physically inspect the bottle at our workshop. You have so far refused to send the item back.
We simply do not issue refunds based on photographs that directly contradict the physical chemistry of our products. Our offer remains firmly on the table: return the 10ml bottle using the terms we outlined, and we will happily complete a full inspection.

Alexandria Fragrances is fantastic, is it better than the designer brands?
Well, ill be honest. From my experience, they are not. But that heavily depends on whether you have a nose that can pick up the subtle differences. I have tried The Essence Vault, Noted Aromas, Perfume Shark, Mister Fragrance and London Perfume Factory all of which are cheaper, but neither of which have been better so far.
I have purchased 5 fragrances from Alexandria Fragrances so far, so I'll go through them with the name of the fragrance and Alexandria Fragrances name in brackets.
Tom Ford - Ombre Leather (untethered)
I love Ombre Leather and no dupe has ever got it right, with some being miles off and others getting closer. I will say, Alexandria Fragrances is the closest, untethered opens very similar to Ombre Leather with a few notes coming in a bit too harsh and other maybe lacking slightly. The only problem is that I can't pick up which note exactly is either too strong or lacking. Saying that, it's an excellent fragrance that will easily fool most. The performance isn't the greatest, it doesn't project quite as long as Ombre Leather Parfum, but since this is based on the Eau De Parfum version (based on the scent profile) i would say it performes about the same, maybe slightly worse.
Kilians Black Phantom
(Dark Knight)
I'm not a fan of this one anymore. A bit to sweet for my liking and I don't like the breakdown, just those chocolaty, coffee and rum notes on the open and that caramel almond profile it carries. The tobacco notes start to come out as those notes die down and it breaks down a bit too smokey for my liking. However! They have nailed this one, I have smelt the real thing and this has got to be one of the closest, in terms of performance, I don't know. I haven't wore Kilians Black Phantom on my skin, so I can't compare endurance. However, this does last and if you like those smokey sweet notes, this might be for you.
Bvlgari Tygar
(Black Panther)
This is supposedly the best seller. I haven't smelt the real thing, I've never come across a boutique and it's very expensive. However, this does smell nice it just doesn't perform. However, I have heard online that the real thing doesn't really perform either. I believe that is because of the notes, being a grapefruit based fragrance, unfortunately the scent profile heavily relies on the presence of grapefruit, which is a very lightweight note, the other notes ambroxen, musk and vetvitir I believe? Some ginger in there and ambrette? These notes, I imagine the first three being the base, likely struggle the anchor the core grapefruit note, causing to scent to struggle in maintaining its profile as it breaks down. This leaves many thinking the fragrance itself is just rubbish or cheap. Unfortunately, for me, this is one that i needed to top up with more than i would have wanted, to keep those Grapefruit accords.
Louis Vuitton - Imagination
(Visionary)
I didn't like this one, but once again not because it was bad, but because the notes used reminded me of a dentist waiting room. I have smelt the real thing and the real fragrance gives the same impression. However, when this breaks down is does have a very pleasant holiday smell, really nice for summary events or visits to the beach, or lounging around the pool. I wouldn't wear this on a night out. Now, visionary performs about the same, it has that soapy, fresh, clean smell which Imagination tries to create and honestly, it really doesn't do it for me, i do like the breakdown but in the end, fragrances are very personal. Visionary is a very good copy of Imagination in my opinion and a hell of a lot cheaper.
Tom Ford - Noir Extreme
(The Extreme)
I actually really like this one, Noir Extreme is one of my favourites. However, the extreme by Alexandria Fragrances falls short when up against the real thing. They nail the top and mid notes, with them being very close, but the base notes struggle to anchor those top notes, with the scent performing and lasting but unfortunately losing its profile and identity within around 2-3 hours of wearing it. However, I have only tried this once so i dont think it's fair to make a solid judgement on this yet.
My takeaway from this is that Alexandria Fragrances is a solid place to go if you want a decent dupe, but don't go in thinking you're going to get something that performs as well or better than the real deal. The marketing from a lot of these dupe companies (not just Alexandria Fragrances) rely on unproven market conspiracies, such as celebrity endorsements drive up the price, that they lie about concentration and that high concentration means a better fragrance. This isn't true, concentration purely measures how long it lasts but doesn't mean it will perform well the entire time.

I'm really really impressed
I'm really really impressed. I could smell a guy in my gym wearing a really nice scent so asked him what it was. He told me and I headed straight over to look for one I've wanted, but have refused to pay £300 bills for. They had it and I ordered on Saturday, the fragrance arriving Tuesday morning. The scent is amazing. I sprayed one spray on my arm at 11am and at 5pm I can still smell it. I wouldn't hesitate to order again. Amazing customer service and super fast delivery! Thabks so much!

Tried samples of Brasilia Cologne and Zion. They do get very close to the original DNA while also having great quality (much better than other dupes in my opinion) Longevity and projection are not the best but at reasonable prices I can just spray more while enjoying the scent and good quality of it - would certainly recommend!

Absolutely incredible fragrances from a well established company. I ordered loophole and its so close to the original. It pushes off the skin and clothes for at least 10 hours for me. I would pay triple the amount for this. I put it on at 6.00 am this morning and its 7.30pm and still smelling it. Absolutely 💯 banging
