Customer service avoiding responsibility
A very frustrating and uncomfortable experience from start to finish.
The product arrived with the outer packaging already open and unsealed, which immediately raised concerns about the product’s integrity and hygiene, especially for a fragrance/personal-use item. When I contacted customer service, this core issue was ignored. Instead of investigating why the item arrived in that condition, the discussion was redirected toward placing responsibility on the customer and classifying the situation as “change of mind”.
The responses were contradictory. I was told that briefly testing the product to verify its condition removes the right of return, even though a customer must reasonably be able to inspect an item when there is doubt about its state upon delivery. Internal policies were repeatedly referenced rather than addressing the actual problem or offering a practical solution.
The overall tone suggested an attempt to close the complaint rather than resolve it. No reasonable alternative, compensation, or genuine investigation was offered — only repeated statements shifting responsibility to the customer.
This kind of after-sales handling is concerning for any online purchase, because you effectively carry all the risk if the product arrives in questionable condition. I would strongly advise potential buyers to be cautious before ordering, especially if you expect fair support in case something goes wrong. The communication style from the person (Dave) handling the correspondence was notably unfriendly and dismissive, which gave the impression that resolving the issue was not a priority

Calling a customer a liar publicly is extremely unprofessional. Instead of addressing the issue respectfully, you chose to attack my integrity. I simply described my experience. Disagreeing with your return policy does not make someone dishonest. Your response says far more about your customer service standards than my review ever could.”
Regarding the first point:
I repeat, without any hesitation: the quality and the scent are blatantly substandard and bear no resemblance to the brands you attempt to associate your product with. Using well-known brand names to polish a weak product is clear consumer deception and an attempt to create value that simply does not exist.
Regarding the second point:
Your admission that the boxes are sent without any sealing is not in your favor — it is a direct acknowledgment of your disregard for proper quality and safety standards. Calling it “standard packaging” does not change the fact that the product arrives without any guarantee that it hasn’t been tampered with. That failure is entirely your responsibility, not the customer’s burden to accept.
Regarding the third point:
Your refusal to accept a return under the excuse of “hygiene” is obvious double standards. You allow yourselves to sell a product that is unsealed from the start, yet you refuse to take it back in the same condition. That is not about maintaining standards — it is a transparent attempt to avoid accountability for a poor product and prevent financial loss. Twisting the narrative and blaming the customer does not change that reality.
Regarding the fourth point:
Yes, I sprayed the product — because that is the only way to test a fragrance you claim is high quality. The undeniable truth is that the scent is extremely unpleasant and far below acceptable standards. Instead of acknowledging the poor quality, you chose to attack the customer’s credibility. The issue is not my account — the issue is your product.

Absolute lies. Let’s stick to the written facts of our email correspondence, which we have on file.
Fact 1: In your very first email to us on Feb 13th, you did not mention a single word about the packaging being open or unsealed. Your exact words were: "The quality and the fragrance are not as described and are not worth the price." You wanted a return simply because you didn't like the smell.
Fact 2: You claimed the box arrived "unsealed." Correct—our fragrances do not come cellophane wrapped. This is our standard packaging. Claiming this is a "defect" or "suspicious" is false; it is exactly how the product is sold.
Fact 3: You mention concerns about "integrity and hygiene." This is the exact reason we refused your return. We do not accept returns on used items precisely to protect future customers from receiving a bottle that someone like you has opened, sprayed, and returned. We refuse to compromise our hygiene standards.
Fact 4: You claim you were worried about the safety of the product, yet you admitted to spraying and testing the perfume on yourself to judge the "quality." If you genuinely believed the bottle was tampered with, you would not have applied it to your skin.
We have zero tolerance for customers who change their story to manufacture a defect when they simply have Buyer's Remorse.

I was fed up paying big money for niche
I was fed up paying big money for niche so I decided to try the dupes. In an honest review I do find Alexandria fragrances a tad expensive but when I was on their site for the first time I got offered a discount so decided to go for it .
I did not regret it . I ordered their vanilla stallion and miraculous-oud based on two popular brands . From then ive bought another 5 and im not disappointed. Yes they are a tad expensive but you won't be disappointed .I always wait months to see how they last and if they stay the same smell before I review and now more than 6 months later Im nearly out off miraculous-oud so I'll be placing another order soon . 4 good sprays gets hours upon hours .

High-Quality Clones, Very Positive Experience
I only recently approached the world of fragrance clones. I have always purchased original perfumes, including high-end ones (several Tom Ford among others), so I naturally started with a certain level of skepticism when it comes to dupes. I have tried brands like Edò (some decent, some good) and others that were frankly disappointing, such as The Essence Vault.
Alexandria genuinely impressed me.
Some fragrances are very close to the originals, I would say between 90% and 95% in terms of accuracy. In certain cases, the longevity is even better. Considering that the price difference compared to the originals can reach 300%, that 5–10% gap simply does not justify the premium price of the official versions.
The packaging is impeccable: it is hard to imagine the contents arriving damaged.
Customer service is excellent, especially Dave: fast, precise, polite and accommodating.
As for areas that could be improved: shipping to Italy (and I assume generally outside the UK) is not very fast, between 10 and 15 days, despite a cost of around €25; the mailing list is a bit excessive, with too many emails (I will definitely unsubscribe); and there is little price advantage in choosing larger sizes, as the price per liter barely changes.
Despite these points, it is still 5 stars for me: the product quality is truly high.

Shipping to Italy: You are spot on—it takes a little longer (10–15 days) because we use a specialized "Duty Paid" service. We ship via the Netherlands to ensure we pay the import taxes and customs fees for you. It adds a few days to the journey, but it guarantees you don't get hit with a nasty bill from Italian customs upon delivery!
Emails: Completely understood. We do get excited about new releases, but I respect you unsubscribing to keep your inbox tidy. We will still be here when you are ready to restock.

Well here it is my daughter bought ombre nomad from these guys for Xmas have to say it is expensive only smelt it on 2 ppl but from alexandria fragrance is spot on for what you pay so I thought I'd go on myself I'm a fan of bleu de chanel go a small bit left from orginal well it came really well boxed with a sample of dark shadow of which I'm very interested in buying but bk to frangrance it's hard to tell the difference aprt maybe it's fresh th one here aprt that I will be only useing these guy cheers.....

It is always a massive compliment when someone compares us side-by-side with the original they have at home.
You are spot on about the "freshness"—often when you have the last bit of an original bottle left, it has had a lot of air get to it over time (oxidation), which makes the citrus notes fade and the base notes get heavier. A brand new bottle of ours will always have that "pop" of freshness right out of the gate!

BLACK PANTHER!! I got black panther and hafez off these guys and WOW! Such high quality fragrances. Hafez is a very strong tobacco scent but after an hour it dries down and becomes a sweet tobacco.
