This company is a total fraud. It’s the perfect crime. You never contract with them yet they charge you for nothing and are rude over the phone but have no information except that you need to pay them or else. The scam is one thing but the rude Custer service with no data is terrible!

You call all day and never get ahold of anyone except the voicemail. There workman comp department is horrible.

Terrible.I have a pending claim for 2 months, for a credit card, I have not received a single answer and the card is chasing me for payment. Waiting time is up for 30 days. either I don´t get an answer on the phone or disconnect. Time for a lawyer

We have a workman's comp policy with this company they owe us a refund due to an audit and they are slow walking the audit it has been 8 weeks since submitting the audit and still not done. We are filing a complaint with state as well. We are now also looking at taking our business elsewhere

If I could give no stars I would. Company still haven't paid out on claim and no update even though agreed to pay out in may and told be 7 days. Avoid company at all costs. When you ring they try get you off phone saying finance will pay you within 7-10 days but it never comes then 5 calls later same thing your told again and same outcome

I put a claim in over 2 months ago and have been chasing and chasing this company. Much of the time their phone lines do not work, one one day I called 5 times, every single time, I got passed on to someone and the line was cut off. The person dealing with my case has been on "annual leave" or some other kind of leave whenever I get in touch. My calls are never returned. Steer well clear of them.

I won't waste the space, just read all the other feedback before me. Dishonest, trying everything to buy time, decline genuine claim with silly reasons, you can't easily log a complaint... The Ombudsman will love this. Avoid them.

Disingenuous, unprofessional and unhelpful. Terrible quality customer service and quality of employee. No point expecting a response from anyone, it takes weeks and weeks. They do not care about their customers at all.

Awful awful company.

Will do everything to avoid paying a claim, even on a legitimate case.

The Compliants department are no better, ignore your question and chasers. With no means of escalations or resolution Would rate it 0 stars if I could.

AmTrust Europe have taken over £266 from my bank over the past 12 months for an insurance policy I no longer require. I have attempted to reach out to them via the Contact Us form on their website (with the type selected as Complaint) but received no reply.

I have called their office number and was told to email AmTrust Accounts, I received an auto response stating they'd be in touch in 2 working days but they haven't.

Really poor customer service, I highly recommend you stay away.

Horrible customer service. Unattentive adjusters who don't return calls or read notes.

Be very concerned if AmTrust International is your insurance underwriter! My house was impacted by escaped water late December 2022. Building insurance claim lodged with AmTrust International on 3 Jan 2023. It took several weeks for AmTrust to assign a loss adjustor to visit the property given the volume of impacted properties from a deep freeze across the UK. The initial Sedgwick loss adjustor appointed was great. However, 6 months into the restoration, a new Sedgwick loss adjuster was assigned. The entire restoration has been on hold since then. Items previously considered acceptable to Sedgwick and AmTrust are being challenged. It has now been more than 1 year and I have had to engage lawyers and tried contacting the CEO, directly. The Financial Ombudsman is the next stop following AmTrust not addressing a formal complaint lodged 11 weeks ago. Meanwhile my house sits as an empty shell with no insulation, that I am paying to heat to avoid repeat issues. AmTrust International should be ashamed of themselves and I would seek building insurance elsewhere if you can.

I can't even get through to there claims department. Waiting on the phone for hours everyday with no one picking up mother phone. I'm just going to do a small claims on this company. My insurance has paid out. Now I want my excess protection money. This company is 100% fraudulent or they are on the thin line. From my own experience finacial ombudsman first them court. But I'm going straight to court. Can't be bothered with ombudsman

This company sucks I got injured in 2017 I never got treatment now I have 4 years with no PRIMARY CARE TOOK THAT AWAY NOW THEY TRY SO THEY SAY TO FIND A DR..NO THEY WONT IT BEEN TOO LONG ..NO DR WILL TAKE ME..I email I email..nothing ..This place don’t care about you they leave you to rott!! I’m taking mine to social media ..I have blisters and I think I might have a infection THAT I’m fighting ..that’s probably why my foot oozes with puss ..this company SCAMMERS AND LAZY PEOPLE..

I have had nothing but ill treatment from this company. I’ve never been compelled to write a bad review on any business page, but I am at my end with these people. I have been hung up on multiple times. Instead of directing me to someone with correct information I am being given false information and told to do different tasks that have, time and time again, failed to reach anyone who will help. What is my money going to? I would not recommend using Amtrust. Most people that work with them are just there to get a paycheck. Scammers.

I work for a company that uses this fraudulent company for workman's comp. I had 2 workers injured on the job. 1 from almost a year ago and another more recent. They spoke to 1 person, gave them al the information required, got a claims number, and never heard from AmTrust ever again. I even had the HR department reach out several times, over and over again and here we are a year later...nothing. I would suggest getting a lawyer when dealing with this company. Go through court and have them pay the court cost, and pain and suffering too. I suggested that to my staff because this job doesn't pay much and to be off for even a day... you are losing money to pay rent, eat, feed your kids, childcare... all the above. Y'ALL ARE PLAYING WITH PEOPLE LIVES. i would rate this company a ZERO!!!!!!!

Not even worth a star !! I purchased Unoccupied Insurance with this company via a broker . They would only agree to a minimum 6 month policy and lump sum payment only. Policy was in force just 31 days and the residual refund from a £225 premium was just £151.23. Absolutely scandalous. To add insult to injury I was told by my broker that the refund can take up to 31 days ro reach my credit card . When I clicked on the "Customer Service" link on my policy document I managed to latch on to a "jobs worth" adviser, the amazing Rory who said he couldn't help me as he only dealt with claims and refused to pursue my request to another arm of his company who may have been able to help, but was happy to bat me back to the broker (Onebroker.co.uk) who in turn blamed the insurance company for their administrative policies. I eventually got a the refund via their broker 17 days after my final email and 23 days after I cancelled the policy. Not even a covering letter, apology . My advice, read these reviews, avoid this company. even if their premium is competitive, the mark of the company is their customer service and in this company its not existent.

Had a policy for a year for a VERY small business. I was quoted around $50 a month, with an audit at the end. The $50, varied by actual payroll. I ended up paying around $15 a month - which was great. We went out of business and I cancelled the policy. The FINAL AUDIT came through, saying that there were minimum $$ requirements. The min per year was $488 (something like that) and I owed the difference. Not a lot of money but still, no one ever mentioned there was a minimum. I had to have a rep on the line to pay the balance due as I couldn't pay it online, nor through their automated system since the policy was cancelled already.

Bait and switch which cost thousands of dollars!
We were originally charged a fee for not agreeing to an audit. The reason we didn't agree is due to the financial reports they wanted to access along with private company information. Our charges were originally $3,000. In order to reduce the $3k fee were instructed to agree to the audit. We agreed and proceeded to pay the reduced amount of $2,000. Once the audit was completed we were billed again but this time it was for $30,000! Once we questioned this new bill it was reduced to $11,000. We were referred to Amtrust by ADP Insurance dept. No one at Amtrust and ADP Insurance is helping sort these fees and the misguidance we've received.

Absolutely terrible experience dealing with AmTrust. They quoted us around $780 for a 1-year policy and then at the end of the year conducted an audit in which they completely disregarded our actual payroll and decided they would multiply it by 10X and are trying to bill me an extra $8,000+.

Completely criminal and a nightmare to deal with. STAY AWAY.
