Getting the insurance was very straightforward. Communication was generally swift and clear.

Very helpful but mix up with agent inputting wrong date of birth so had to go through quote process twice. However. The second quote was €10 cheaper so it worked in my favour in the end.

The customer team were really helpful. However, I was dissatisfied with some aspects of An Post Insurance (for example, the fact that the breakdown assistance phone number is not included in the package sent to the customer, and has to be searched for - something older people and more vulnerable members of society would be unable to do if they broke down on the side of the road) the team on the phone dealt very well with this issue that I highlighted. I was told to "look for it online". That's not really good enough considering the amount one is paying for insurance. Would it be too much for An Post to include the number and contact details when they send out the insurance certificate? I noted that not having the breakdown number would pose particular risks for women and older people who do not use the internet to be stuck on the side of the road and not to have immediate access to a physical copy of the breakdown assistance number - they will be told by An Post to "look it up online." The young woman I spoke to was receptive, friendly and approached things rationally, as did other members of the team. To date, however, I still have not been provided with the number for breakdown assistance in the case of a car breakdown... and an AI search does not yield the number either...
