the stapling in the vertical lats on some of the panels was really bad especially 1 of then had to put screws in to relace the staples

Feather edge custom garden gate. Price and delivery speed were reasonable. However, finish on feather edge boards very rough with splinters etc. also, I had assumed it was tongue and groove, which is normal and for a fraction more elsewhere a much better product.
The screws used to frame the gate are drilled through the middle of the center ledge on both sides, which means that it is impractical to use a two-sided lock that requires drilling a hole through the center of the ledge/brace.

Updated 18/8/2026. Thank you for your response to my review. You are correct that I did not pay attention to the "feather edge" description, and that it is always possible to sand the boards where needed. My issue is that the gate is not really fit for purpose. The order was for a tall, tanalised gate almost one meter wide. It is heavy and requires substantial hinges. Either in the website description or in response to my order it would have been useful to be told that it is not suitable for normal hook and band hinges with a center bolt. Also, the gate is sturdy and "secure" as advertised, and while it will accept a surface bolt and padlock, the unusual design means that a centrally mounted two-sided secure locking mechanism on the central ledge is not possible. Unlike other gates I have now seen that avoid both issues. Thank you.

The quadruple wheelie bin cupboard was put together by Arbors expert. He did a good job. However just over 8 days later I noticed that one of the doors had already warped and one lid had to be banged back , as it had parted from it's side.
I phoned this into Arbor and have to say that the man in customer service was quite rude, kept saying that I had to send a photo of the door via email. I explained that I am in my 70s and have no idea how to do this, he would not listen, I gave up. Very disappointed with a substandard product.

A great picnic table set. I love the rustic look. Excellent quality for the money.

This is now our 2nd purchase of a pergola from Arbor, generally speaking everything went well.

Good quality timber, some omissions from last time, by way of 2 sets of 4 wooden covers for base of vertical posts but I didn't need them anyway!

The 4 off small screws supplied for the side angled braces were too short, due to the hole positions pre- drilled by supplier - no real issue as I just used longer ones I already had.

Looks great on our new bungalow, couple of years time pergola will be flooded with climbers.

This was my 2nd draw set from this company.
It’s fun to put together and the quality of the materials are excellent and everything goes together perfectly , really solid once assembled.
