The company disconnected my phone without contacting me. Said that they sent out mail and email saying that the service would be discontinued which is a lie. I never got one. Could hardly understand the rep that I talk to. The service was terrible anyway thanks for nothing assurance.
A sleazy, terrible company.
Pretty much a scam site. You purchase something from them and you have a 50/50 of getting what you ordered. It's pretty much impossible to return a product. (And there is zero chance that you can actually talk with a human being there.)
Basically, make sure you use a payment method that will allow you to do a charge-back. You'll likely need it.

This was the worst experience dealing with a cell phone company in my entire life. The phone would cut off and customer service was somewhere overseas. I could just barely understand what the person was saying and oh, how they lied repeatedly about fixing the phone on their end et cetera. I am glad they are no longer in use!
I've tried Assurance wireless twice…
I've tried Assurance wireless twice now. Both times were a nightmare. The first time they lied about everything. They told me, and I recorded the call, that for $10 a month they would give me totally unlimited internet. I took the deal only to have $80 taken from mt debit card and I only got an additional 5 GB of data a month. The second time they continuously downloaded apps from Google play to my phone. It had to be them because I keep the play store set to download apps via wi fi ONLY! They do this to customers to use up their monthly data in a hurry in hopes they'll whip out that debit card and pay for more data. These people are rotten to the core.

Very incompetent company. None of their techs know what they are doing. Been without my phone number since 02/15/26. Couldn't call out and call went directly to voicemail. I have called 12 times, every time they say that it will be fixed. Going for the 13th time tomorrow but FCC, BBB or now involved. This company should not be on the lifeline for government. Don't use this company. They need shut down.

Assurance did a switch and bait on me they advertise a free government I phone and then send u a typical cheap phone. I just opened my package and saw it was not the phone they advertised I'm sending it back the box is still sealed and unopened this is the second time I was tricked I'm not falling for your unethical business practice. Is this how you have to get new business by tricking people I would never recommend any one too your company I would rather use two cans and string before I used your company every again and I will freely share what a lousy company that you are. Shame on you and your company tricking and misrepresenting your phone's

Liars and Thieves
First, they charged me $3.62 for $1 worth of extra data. When I asked them why, they said the rest was "tax". 262% tax??? I told them that was a big fat lie, then they started blowing up my phone with texts every few seconds. I actually had to block the "Customer Care" number to get the harassment to stop. Then my data stopped working. When I called to ask them why, they said I had used it up with calls to 911 and 988. Even if that weren't another big fat lie, calls have nothing to do with data. They're not even GOOD liars! So, I found a new company. I haven't gotten my new SIM card yet, but they've already deactivated their service. This company is TOTALLY SLEAZY. Run the other way!

I live in NW Florida and have no problem with my Assurance Wireless service. I am currently using an iPhone 12 I bought online. I did get a free Android phone in the beginning and it worked fine for two years and then died.
Every time I have contacted customer service they have been pretty quick to respond and gave clear, concise instructions. I am happy with my service!

The agents are not fluent in English. Customers service sucks !!!!! They took $10 dollars from my card said I’m unlimited then all of a sudden my number has been switched with a different company and they can give me my $10 back because they don’t have my account but the year ain’t up. Refund meee !!!!! They keep you on hold until you hang up on purpose. Why would the gov hook us up with scammers for free information just spreading ! HATE THEM!
Suppose to be a free service but tried to scam me
I been using assurance wireless for a year . All of a sudden they sent me a text saying my lifeline is no longer eligible . So I call them on the phone .They flat out lied and said my lifeline benefit was transferred over on the 10th. That is impossible they would’ve cut my service off my phone was on before I received that message.They told me I could reapply online . I asked them why online since I’m already on the phone and all they have to do is reactivate my sim card .They told me I could not reapply over the phone and I had to go on the site . Funny enough I tried to apply and it said my phone wasn’t compatible for a SIM card .how if the SIM card I have still works because I’m still receiving messages from them . So the only choice I had was to buy a phone from them and why would I do that if I have an unlocked iPhone it doesn’t make sense . This was clearly a money grab from them . I quickly called another lifeline service and got my service back on no cost .

To be honest, I I’ve been a loyal customer of Assurance Wireless for over a year now and after the way, I was treated within these past two days even by their supervisor I would not even rate Assurance Wireless with one star they refuse to help me and wanted me to pay money for a free phone and refused to honor their end of replacing one of their phones which no longer served its purpose so they continuously gave me phone numbers to other cell phone companies that did not give out cell phones, and then after consulting with a supervisor after getting hung up on by one of their reps, he told me that it was not the Phone and tried to pressure me into buying a phone and I told him I needed help. He refused to, unless I would pay for a phone and then end the call when I told him it sounded like you were refusing to help me even after I told him I did everything with the phone and my phone was refusing to act right and I had the phone long enough. I would not refer Assurance Wireless to another living soul, especially to rip people off who are needing any type of cell phones because now they’re saying that they are no longer issuing free cell phones or free government phones to anybody and they are refusing to help people unless you can pay for Almighty Dollar for a phone and if they’re refusing to help anybody or a poor soul to help then obviously they are not worth the time or the energy to even dial the number of Assurance Wireless to even be access to even keep any accounts up access with Assurance Wireless to even help a customer and I will honestly say they are low specially for customers who are needed a phone you come out better with help from people like T-Mobile and other cell phone providers that are willing to help if you are willing to pay because these people are not willing to
