Awful company which tries to break consumer law by charging an extortionate 10% handling fee plus postage on return items which are within the 14 day cooling off period. Their communications have been rude and arrogant. Do not waste your money on this corrupt excuse of a company!!! Products lame too hence the return!!!

It is awful dealing with service people @ Autel. Paid money for update to my OBD2 reader and have to wait DAYS with NO authorization code. I'm still waiting! They provided an bogus solution which shows the support people at Autel dont have a solid product knowledge, screw me around and waist time. In the mean time, i wait and my business suffers!!! I still can't update.... what a joke. I should have bought different code reader.

I bought a unit from the sale on their German site (Autel.de) with free shipping. I live in Malta and expected there would be no issue in sending the unit within the EU. I was contacted and told they do not ship to Malta (even though there is no restriction on the website) from their German warehouse (in the EU). I could have the unit sent to Malta from China but I would then have to pay all import charges and shipping via UPS. I was trying to work around the issue and they just refunded me on a disposable card. Now I have to explore how I will get the money back. A very unsatisfactory experience.

Bought 5 new scanners from Autel and the latest S2 you have to purchase the wheel alignment and ADAS separately in order to do alignments with their Ia900wa rack SHAME ON YOU AUTEL

Ordered 4 tyre pressure sensors that never arrived but the worst thing is they do not answers messages or emails.

Awful customer service. Tried to use an SFD that we paid £12 to allow us to clear down codes on a new VAG car. It would not work after following instructions, and when I contacted customer service the accused me of trying to get another free gateway pass when I just wanted their help. Boils my urine.

I ordered an Ultra Lite S Diagnosis Scanner on 3/11/25 from these cowboys who tried to rip me off by sending me the Ultra Lite scanner an older version scanner without informing me.
So after 9 days of ordering and finally receiving the older scanner i notified AUTEL and paypal stating the wrong scanner was sent to me,so i asked for a return label through paypal and after receiving the label i took pics of scanner in box and the return label as asked for by AUTEL.So i dropped it off at evri dropoff 11/11/25 as asked by AUTEL...Now 24/11/25 i still have had no refund from AUTEL and have to wait for paypal to investigate them to get my refund expected date of 10/12/25.WHAT A JOKE...
SO PLEASE AVOID AVOID THIS CHINESE COWBOY COMPANY AS THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY QUICKLY BUT AVOID REFUNDING YOU QUICKLY....AVOID AVOID AVOID...

It does some basic stuff but there are significant shortcomings:
1. The damn thing DEMANDS to be updated. I don't need newest vehicle coverage, mine are covered. So far it works but throws a nasty warning "To continue using, you MUST update." What's up with that?!?
2. It refuses to send emails with freezeframe. Yes, it is connected to WiFi. I sent a question about this issue, and they responded with an ad. So if you expect any level of support, forget it.
3. It demanded that I created an account and immediately attempted to access/take control of my email account so I had to change the password.

WORST COMPANY EVER NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER STAY AWAY AND BUY FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE IF IT DOESNT HAVE A TAG THEY NOT INTERESTED YET ITS ALL THE SAME COMPANY ABSOLUTE SHIT SHOW OF A COMPANY I WILL NEVER BUY AUTEL EVER AGAIN

Do not buy any autel products as the service after warranty is non existent, phone numbers do not work in Berlin or Netherlands.

They take 24hrs to send 1 email and you'll get nowhere, no repair centre details no nothing

I've never known so much incompetence from a so called major company.

Uk autel won't help unless it's tagged from their company, totally useless

Never buying any autel devices ever again

Absolute outright thievery, sent in a couple of units to just have flashed to remove forgotten passcodes and was quoted over $1900, one under warranty. We were told prior to shipping that there wouldn't be a charge for units under warranty. BTW you can purchase both new for same money. I wouldn't use this company or it's subsidiaries.

Warranty is not really a warranty
I trusted Autel for my shop, but when the tool’s battery died in 6 months, Autel customer service was slow and unhelpful. They said I had to pay shipping to get warranty repair. Why should customers pay to fix your defective product? Very disappointing experience.

This company is a fraud. I purchase a car computer scanner to reset the oil change I do yearly and to clean my DPF filter once in awhile. When I purchase the machine was never mentioned I needed constantly an 150 AUD yearly subscription to be able to access those basic funcions. My first yearly subscription has expired and now I can't access those basic functions anymore without paying again 150 AUD for a mere year of use. Thiefs!!!!!!! I paid the device 400 AUD and I should be able to use all the basic funcions it was advertised to do without forcing me to keep an super expensive subscription going. Now all finctions have disappeared until I pay the autel mafia 150 aud for another year of use. Shame on you AUTEL if you told me clearly at time of purchase I would have never bought anything from you.

Sent a faulty product. Following the website I ve got in touch with support over whatsapp. The person in the other end was absolutely vile. Avoid

Just purchased a new mx808z scanner and it’s excellent. Delivery was within 24 hours and customer service was excellent. Don’t listen to the negative reviews I would highly recommend this company

Absolutely dreadful service from this company. I had an Autel EV charger which went faulty after 18 months use. It has a 36 month warranty. When I attempted to contact Autel about getting a repair or replacement despite numerous attempts they refused to engage. I had to get an alternative company install a new charger costing me just under 1000 euro. I would strongly not recommend this company or their equipment as there follow up support is non existent.

Frustrating Experience

I’m extremely disappointed with how this situation is being handled. About two months ago, I purchased a Vinfast VF8 and was informed about local incentives that could help me recoup some of the cost for installing a Level 2 charger. I went ahead and had the charger professionally installed, expecting everything to go smoothly. Two weeks after installation, the installer who was supposed to help me claim the credit—asked me to connect the charger to the internet. That’s where everything started falling apart. Using the Autel app, I tried to get the unit online. It wouldn’t connect. I even purchased an exterior modem to boost the Wi-Fi signal, and still nothing. I reached out to Autel’s North American support team. First issue? The response time. It takes 2–3 days to hear back, every time. When they did reply, they sent a long troubleshooting list, much of which I had already attempted. I ended up removing the front panel, buying a 100ft Cat6 cable, and running a hardline from my router directly to the charger—still no internet connection. After more back and forth, tech support finally suggested the unit might be defective. But instead of handling a replacement themselves, they pushed the issue onto the dealer. When I contacted the dealer, they told me Autel needed to initiate the claim. So now I’m stuck in a loop, getting passed from one side to the other, with no clear resolution in sight. This has been incredibly frustrating. No one seems to take ownership, no one acts with authority, and there’s a general lack of urgency. Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend Autel. Their product may look promising on paper, but if something goes wrong, you’re on your own.

Enttäuschende Kommunikation – kein Kundenservice erkennbar

Wir haben dem Unternehmen am 08.05.2025 eine konkrete Anfrage zu einem hochpreisigen Auslesegerät geschickt – bis heute (mehrere Tage später) haben wir keinerlei Rückmeldung erhalten.

Eine simple Antwort, selbst eine Absage, wäre ein Zeichen von Professionalität gewesen. Stattdessen drängt sich der Eindruck auf, dass weder Interesse am Verkauf noch an grundlegender Kundenkommunikation besteht.

Wer an einem zuverlässigen Geschäftspartner interessiert ist, sollte sich bewusst sein, dass man hier offenbar auf sich allein gestellt bleibt. Sehr enttäuschend. Bei einer Angebotsanfrage für fast 2000€ ist das ein Witz....

Dann kaufen wir halt wo anders =)

Absolutely useless the customer support is 0 no technical Engineer or department can't answer simple questions Chinese product China company who don't care I will never buy from them again buy a Sanpon yes cost more but at least you get support
