Aveeno Reviews 

Aveeno was the first moisturiser I found that didn't irritate my skin. The new formula is added caprylyl glycol which is suppose to help it penetrate the skin more easily. Seems that not doing that is exactly why the old recipe was good and they've shot themselves in the foot.

Originally found Aveeno's products, those which I purchased, good especially those for sensitive skin. Now, however, they have little effect and so much of the cream remains in the container when nearing its end; a good way to add to profit, unless removed by methods other than pump.

I brought an Aveeno moisturiser that was so rubbish, I did leave them a truthful review of the product. Of course, they reviewed my review and decided it didn't meet their conditions so they chose not to declare my 1 star review. This is completely dishonest. The awful product had an 4.3 star rating out of 1600 reviews, but no wonder, they are all fake reviews.

I ordered this moisturiser as its supposed to be suitable for oxygen users, but on reading the ingredients it contains petroleum, which can't be used when on oxygen

They have replaced the old formula with a cheap, harsh formula! Please please don't buy this if you have eczema or psoriasis like myself - the old formula would absorb quickly even though it was a thick consistency. The new formula stung my skin and doesn't dry down! Was standing in front of a fan for 20 minutes and it wouldn't absorb into my skin. And when I sweat, I can tell the formula hasn't absorbed into my skin because I'm covered in a plastic-like slippery film all over my body. I am itching all over my arms and legs after using it!

Not sure why on earth they changed it but DO NOT buy this!

The new formula is horrible and stings my skin. Aveeno please bring back the old formula.

I have used Aveno lavender body wash for years. Until now! They changed the formula the scent and the consistency. It is awful and I am returning it to use a different brand. It no longer smells good, it does not lather, and it doesn't soften the skin. It smells like gas station hand soap! I won't waste my money on it for sure.

Absolutely terrible since they changed the formula. I've been using Aveeno for over 10 years and it used to work wonders but now when I put it on it causes my skin to burn and itch.

I can only echo my profound disappointment re the recent formula change.
The new formula Aveeno has had a significant detrimental effect on my skin, causing red inflamed patches and hence I have stopped using/buying.

When you have a skin condition, such as eczema, you buy and try many moisturisers in the hope of finding a product that settles and soothes your skin. And Aveeno did that for many years……but no longer.

Aveeno, please read and take note of the reviews, hear what your customers are saying because you need to rethink this recent change.

Was a loyal customer of the positively radiant cleanser (bottle with the green pump) for over 10 years. It was the only cleanser that worked for my acne. When I tried the new formulation which came in a larger bottle with a brown pump, I noticed the consistency was completely different. I decided to try it anyway since I trusted Aveeno but it caused my skin to break out. Furthermore they decided not to publish my negative review about the formulation change. This is extremely disturbing since they can effectively skew the product rating in their favor.

We have been using for over 15 years after a recommendation, despite the high cost as it was the only non greasy moisturiser we could find. We always recommended to family and friends. We rarely write reviews but this was a staple for us. The new formula is greasy, burns and smelly and MORE expensive. Our temporary replacement from poundland is superior to the new Aveeno!!! What will people with sensitive skin do? Any suggestions ... Jennifer Aniston would blush if she only knew what they had done ....

Aveeno was the only thing my dry sensitive skin could use. Why have you changed the formula? I’ve used the new formula now three times hoping it would work. It’s left my skin dry, itchy and irritated. It’s so bad that I’m taking antihistamines. This is now a terrible product. I cannot recommend it and may have to go back on prescribed ointments.

As other reviews said I have had my negative review rejected twice by Aveeno’s website. I’ve suffered a terrible allergic reaction since the formula change - took me a while to realise the problem because I have trusted them for so long. Might be of help to others to know the ingredient that could be the trigger is tocopheryl…seems to be in 98% of moisturisers…I am having a nightmare to find a replacement

Aveeno rejected my review from their website stating it did not meet their guidelines but did not elaborate. Apparently this is an ongoing tactic as experienced by numerous customers.
I’ve been using this Aveeno lotion for the best part of a decade it worked wonders for my dry, eczema-prone skin. Since the recent formula change this product has totally lost its effectiveness as multiple customers have also stated - it doesn’t absorb into my skin and also leaves my skin stinging and irritated. Incredibly disappointing

I have eczema on my hands and have been using aveeno for years as it's the only product that I don't have a reaction to. The new formula is awful it's greasy, it doesn't soak into my skin and it brings my hands up. Do aveeno not realise there are alot of people out there in a similar situation to me. I won't be buying aveeno again.

What is it on the lady with four bumps and then what looks like a belly button next to it? What is that part of the body?

Greed has won in the Aveeno camp . They have taken a fantastic ( skin lotion ) product and replaced it with a different product that bears no relation to the original . They think that by using the old container that the general public are so dumb that after a few weeks the outage and disgust express about this action they have taken will die away and they can sit back rake in the extra profit made from selling a bogus and fake product. I really hope they suffer financially for this . Please write a review if you’ve experienced a similar displeasure at their profiteering.

I can only reiterate the many poor reviews on this site. I’ve used Aveeno moisturiser for my face for years. The first time I used the new formula I could feel the sting immediately.
I get it that they have made a commercial decision, but what has concerned me most is that they are stopping negative reviews on their website. They replied saying my review didn’t meet their guidelines but wouldn’t say why. The same happened with my daughter (who first recommended Aveeno to me years ago). They did however issue refunds to both of us (after filling out medical disclaimers!).
The new ingredients (at least to the Shea butter product) are Caprylyl Glycol and Tocopherol so it would appear to be one of those which has caused the problem. It’s also much thinner.
Overall very disappointed with the actions of a major company like J&J.
I am yet to find a replacement as good as the original formula btw…

Changed the formula and now feels like I'm just applying vaseline to my hands. Doesn't absorb into your skin and has an unpleasant smell. Won't buy aveeno again.
