My dog Lady was disabled and she died unexpectedly in the early hours of a Sunday morning, she stayed overnight which myself and my other dog needed. I was shocked and heartbroken.
I called Barnshaw later that morning, everything was dealt with seamlessly in a compassionate and caring manner. Nothing was rushed. I have a lovely casket, a paw print and clipping of her hair.
Many thanks to both Chris and Di for helping me through a difficult time and for treating Lady with dignity.

I can not express my gratitude enough for how Silver Gate Vets and Barnshaw pet crematorium made our heartbreaking decision to put our beloved Rottweiler Cassie to sleep bearable. With kindness and compassion shown throughout the whole process has made a difficult time a little easier. The personalised heart with Cassie's name on was beautiful.

Our beloved bull terrier was put to sleep in our home by the vet who had cared for her over her lifetime. She arranged for Barnshaw to collect her body, Chris came within the hour, he was kind, caring and took our girl away in a stress-free and dignified way.
She was individually cremated the same day, no horrible storage for days, and we were able collect her two days later. The communication from Diane was excellent, arranging a time to collect her ashes was done so that no other people would be there at the same time giving people privacy at such a sad time.
The property is a normal looking farm house with a couple of ponies in the yard, it didn't feel like a sad place nor could you see any evidence of the crematorium.
Tilly came home with us in a lovely package with a thoughtful card and a certificate.
Having lost several pets over the years we have never experienced such a caring ending.
We would highly recommend Barnshaw Pet Cremation without hesitation.

I would like to deeply express my absolute gratitude to Chris! Tuesday was probably the hardest day of my life. Saying goodbye to my best boy, was made easier through the compassion shown by this company, communication throuhout was fantastic and we were able to recieve a perfect paw print.

Losing our dog was a heartbreaking experience. Although he had been ill, he was still so young, so his passing came as such a shock to us.

We called Barnshaw after receiving a recommendation. We contacted them just a few hours before arriving, and they welcomed us with such kindness and compassion. From the moment we arrived, they treated our boy with the utmost dignity and treated us with genuine care, understanding, and warmth.

Our beautiful boy was ready to come home the very next morning. The casket was absolutely perfect, and the paw print was such a thoughtful and precious touch that we will treasure forever.

We cannot thank everyone at Barnshaw enough for making such a painful experience a little easier. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who has to say goodbye to a beloved pet.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Barnshaw. We have sadly lost 3 Chihuahuas across the last 5 years, Di and Chris we so kind and suppportive to us, each time. I feel sad that these two wonderful people only ever see me at some of the worst times of my life. I will only trust Barnshaw to take my babies on their final journey.

We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Wilson, aged 16. Although he had been unwell for some time, his passing still came far more suddenly than we had expected.

We could not have wished for greater kindness or compassion than we received from both the vet at Heronden Veterinary Practice and Chris from Barnshaw, who was truly exceptional in every way. Chris treated Wilson, and us, with such care, sensitivity and respect, and clearly understood the depth of our grief.

What brought us enormous comfort was receiving Wilson's ashes back in less than 24 hours, accompanied by the most beautiful messages of sympathy and a lovely keepsake heart engraved with his name. It was such a thoughtful gesture at an incredibly difficult time, and one we will never forget.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for making such a painful experience just a little easier to bear.

Of course I don’t want to write a review as I wish we never had to use this service, but I have to thank Barnshaw for taking care of our beloved Minnelli. From my very first phone call to the moment I collected my cat’s ashes, the service provided by Di and her family was truly faultless. Losing a pet is so hard, but Di was incredibly kind, understanding, and compassionate at every stage.

I felt genuinely supported throughout the entire process. There were so many small, thoughtful details that I hadn't expected but deeply appreciated. When I collected my boy’s ashes, they were so beautifully wrapped; it was clear that a great deal of love and attention had been given. This is a wonderful family-run business that treats your pets as if they were their own. I cannot thank them enough for making such a difficult time a little easier to bear.

Barnshaw Pet Crematorium made a heartbreaking situation bearable. The service received from start to finish was caring, compassionate and professional. I will never be able to thank Chris, Diane and Kathryn enough for the kindness showed to us and our beloved Border Terrier Fred. The presentation of the ashes was beautiful. Lovely engraving on the casket along with a small wooden engraved heart and a beautiful heartfelt card from Chris, Diane and Kathryn. I had no personal communication with them as my dog was collected from the vets, but we got his ashes back really quickly and the love i felt that they put into his service was immeasurable. The little touches in the way he was returned meant the world. I can feel the compassion and kindness they would have showed him! Thank you so much.

A very quick response and clearly explained the different option of services to care for my cat Bobo at such a difficult time. The whole service was handled perfectly and professional way, from the collection of Bobo till we've got Bobo's ashes just a few days.

We Couldn't have wished for nicer people to help us on such an awful day when we lost our Bully at home. It was a sunday morning which made us quite panicky. But We rang Diane at Barnshaw and she was so understanding, caring and compassionate and talked us through everything. We then communicated via WhatsApp with our needs (ashes box, paw prints etc). We agreed a time that they could collect and were very accommodating with that, and also an ETA sent when they were on the way. We were very fortunate that our beloved dog died on his bed, in his sleep, very peacefully, so when Chris and Di arrived, they kept him on his bed to transport him which really comforted us. Once our Bentley was safely in their van, we were able to come back out and say our final goodbyes. They chatted to us and really listened, and showed so much compassion. So friendly and personable. Bentley was ready to collect the next day, but luck had it that they had an appointment near us and dropped Bentley back home for us! I can't recommend these people highly enough- there are certain people that were made for certain professions, and Chris and Di were definitely made to do this- you helped ease such a horrible time. We will always be grateful to you. Thankyou❤️

I have never been so satisfied as I am with the service I have received from these wonderful people. I had to say goodbye to my dog and best friend Max on the 17th of March and these lovely people had him back home in a lovely wooden casket. I can’t thank these people enough……thank you the world over

Anybody that has lost a pet knows how heartbreaking the experience is. It’s a time of shock, uncertainty, guilt and intense upset.
To have been guided through this process by Di and Chris was immensely appreciated as we prepared and eventually had to say goodbye to our beautiful rottie, Rudi.
They were responsive, empathetic and incredibly professional through every aspect of our experience. For as achingly painful as it was, we were comforted to know that he was respected and cared for from the moment he passed, all the way through to us collecting him to bring him home. To know that he was treated in a dignified way, meant everything to us as we tried and continue to try to come to terms with life without him.
Barnshaw was recommended to me by a fellow dog walker and I will now have no hesitation in doing the same.
Thank you for making an awful time, just that little bit better.
