Barnwood Carpentry Ltd Reviews

Barnwood recently completed a small job for us with some custom shelving in a utility cupboard and a small door and frame to tidy up a messy hole in plasterboard for access to electricity meter & fuse box.

Richard and team were superb throughout. Richard listened carefully to our needs and offered useful suggestions before quicky providing us with a competitive quote. On the day, the whole team were friendly and courteous and the final result was perfect, exactly what we needed. Service and communication throughout were excellent.

I will 100% use them again in future.

They did the job quickly, carefully and the finished result is superb.

Initially, I thought the work I needed done would be far more expensive than it ended up being and I really couldn’t be happier.

They where on time, came back on the day after a bad bout of rain, and kept to their initial quote.

I’ll be using them whenever they have availability for future projects.

Also, Richard and Tabitha where extremely polite and easy to communicate with. Absolute stars.

Great communication from Richard and his team from start to finish. Richard replaced our old rotten porch canopy with a beautiful new oak canopy, it looks stunning. I hope to get his team back for some garden projects next year.

Richard & the team recently built some floating shelves in our alcoves and from start to finish the service was professional, friendly and courteous. They understood what we required and executed it perfectly. It was a pleasure having the guys in our home and we would definitely use them again. Thank you!

We used Barnwood for a number of discrete projects within an overall garden landscaping project. They laid down two new deck areas on a complex sloping site, built a bespoke BBQ area and a bespoke garden store. All the work was done to a high quality. Communication with Richard and the team was excellent throughout with good consultation on options and features. All work was delivered on a timely basis and pricing was transparent and clear both on materials and labour. Would thoroughly recommend.

Highly recommended!

Richard and the team came and created a small porch over our front door and we love it. The team were efficient, friendly and very tidy. We're now thinking about what we can get them to do next!!

We had a wonderful experience contracting Barnwood to construct a new timber outbuilding to replace our very old Marley concrete garage. From start to finish Richard and his team impressed us with their craftsmanship, attention to detail, their commonsensical approach to solving all the problems that inevitably occur with any work of this nature. The result is a stunning structure. We simply could not be happier, and will definitely be engaging Barnwood again in the future for our other projects. I heartily recommend Richard and his team.

Barnwood Carpentry have been fantastic, they came out to understand our needs and generated a written quote within 48 hours. They checked and confirmed when they could complete the job, arrived on time and delivered a final solution that was even better than we expected. Really thrilled with their work. No hesitation in highly recommending their work. Will certainly have them back for future projects.

Fantatic company. They did a wonderful job lowering our very old front door. It’s solid oak and very old. I was worried about having it altered but they did a brilliant job with excellent attention to detail. Would
Highly recommend

My partner and had been looking to build a home office/garden room for a number of months before finding Barnwood Carpentry. From day one we knew that they were the right company for us. Richard put us at ease with his professionalism and warmth from day one and both he and his team were a pleasure to deal with throughout the project. We now have a beautifully built garden office room which we are very happy with. I would not hesitate to recommend Barnwood Carpentry to anyone, and indeed we already have done to a few colleagues and friends!

Barnwood Carpentry designed and built an amazing green oak pergola to custom fit uneven terrain. Fantastic team of skilled craftsmen, did precise meticulous work all round. Exceeded expectations.
Thoroughly recommend.

I had the existing solid, cheap stair banister in my house changed into spindles.
Initial quoting for the job was prompt, friendly and informative with advice and recommendations for the job. Richard & his team were then able to fit us in quickly soon after the stair parts got delivered. Fantastic job done, all neat and high quality work. Thrilled to see the new spindles in place after all these years!

Would recommend their services!

Richard and the team have just built a wonderful green oak pergola in the most difficult of circumstances - sub-zero temperatures and having to work around an ancient vine. They were everything you could hope for - enthusiastic, courteous and very skilled.
We would highly recommend.

We have used Barnwood Carpentry for the first time after reading some of their great reviews hoping they are true. And indeed they are! We are so happy with the service provided (fixing a rotten door frame, replacing the cat flap in glass door with clear glass). Richard and Gus have been amazing, very knowledgeable, skilled, hardworking and genuinely nice people. We will certainly use them again!

We have known and used Barnwood Carpentry for various tasks for 10 years. In that time they have designed and built us a bespoke summer house (we call it a 'Pavilion'), built oak bookcases for a library, constructed and fixed doors and windows, as well as taken on a variety of other smaller tasks. They consistently delight us with their ideas, workmanship and finish. We thoroughly recommend them.
