We had enjoyed our river cruise, but my husband said nothing was like our day long trip to Normandy. Philippe was an engaging and extremely informative guide. We visited Utah and Omaha beaches, had a wonderful lunch and we were able to stop at a town in the region on the way back to Paris. I would strongly recommend Philippe and Best Of France Tours.

Terrific half day private tour to Monet’s home and garden in Giverny.
Oliver, our guide, was exceptional, ushering us to and through the gardens early enough to avoid the crowd. We have no hesitation recommending Best of France Tours!

Frederic was a fantastic guide. He knew all of the interesting history and kept our entire party engaged. When Versailles was unexpectedly closed because of a labor strike, he took us the next afternoon on his day off. Thanks for going the extra mile to make our trip great!

We utilized Best of France tours for 4 tours during our recent trip to Paris and couldn't have been happier! Each guide was very personable and knowledgeable which made the tours an outstanding experience. Highly recommend Phillipe and his colleagues!! We booked Normandy and Versailles prior to arriving in Paris. Loved the tours so much, we booked a walking tour of the Lourve! Knowledgeable guides, on time pick up and comfortable vans. I wish we had them in London!

Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and well-spoken in English. The itinerary was as agreed and on time. The car was clean and comfortable. I recommend Best of France Tours.

We had the most wonderful trip to Giverny with Philippe! He was friendly and knowledgeable and provided door to door service! I would recommend Best of France without hesitation.

Our 1st tour with Philippe and Best of France took us to Champagne, the caves and the beautiful countryside on a warm sunny day. Topping off the day, besides the champagne tastings, was lunch at one of Philippe's non-tourist restaurants in Rheims with Philippe. He provides so much excellent information which we truly love. This past May, Tour #2 brought us back to Philippe and Best of France for the Normandy tour. Everything was absolutely perfect, including the bright sunny day as he related the D-Day events, with photos no less. In addition, we dined in the countryside in a non-tourist restaurant which was excellent. Philippe is very considerate of his guests, making appropriate stops along the route to accommodate guest needs. Our arrival/departure transfers were seamless also through Best of France, always on time, Mercedes vehicle. We consider Best of France, truly as the name implies, The Best of France. Did I say Philippe speaks 4 languages and English sans an accent? Oui, he does. Thank you all for your fabulous attention to all our travel/tour needs in Paris and yes, France. Looking forward to our next adventure with you.

Best of France Tours is an incredibly professional, knowledgeable and fun group. We just returned from a recent trip to Paris and after extensive research, I chose to use Philippe and team for all of our needs including airport transfers, a day in Normandy, a Louvre tour and a day in Champagne. Frederic took us on an amazing day trip to Normandy including the American Cemetery and Beaches. He also guided us at the Louvre and was so knowledgeable and made our trip that much more enjoyable. Philippe knows Champagne and took us for our last adventure there including an amazing lunch in Epernay. I can't say enough about the quality of service you get from this team, no detail is missed and you will truly have an unforgettable experience. Thank you Best of France we will see you again!

Our group of 7 were in Paris for just one full day en route home after a river cruise. We had arranged a Best of France all day tour of Versailles. As planned Frederic picked us up from our hotel at 9am but we knew the Palace may be opening late due to strike action. It got worse when we discovered the Palace was to be closed all day!! Over a coffee, Frederic offered to take us on a full day city tour instead. We had a brilliant day and cannot thank Frederic enough for turning disappointment into delight. His adaptability, driving skills, knowledge and sense of humour are brilliant. Company Manager Philippe has great communication skills and is super efficient; he's already refunded the value of our entrance tickets. We cannot praise Best of France high enough and highly recommend you use them....we'll be back!!

Excellent experience. We did a full day Normandy trip with our guide Cristian. He was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information. Phillipe was very responsive and helpful in booking our trip. Would definitely recommend!

We chose Best of France Tours based on reviews only and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Philippe picked us up right on time at our hotel in a nice Mercedes van that fit the four of us just fine for the 3 hour drive to Normandy from Paris. Philippe was an expert on the Normandy invasion and taught us more than we ever expected. We lucked out with awesome weather and little crowds. Philippe even took us to a restaurant where the "locals" eat and the food and experience altogether was perfect. The private tour may have cost a little more than a bus tour but we had one day to see Normandy and wanted to make the best of it and it was well worth it!

Philippe was a knowledge guide and made our day trip to the Loire Valley very enjoyable. It was easy from the booking through the drop off. We had a lot of laughs and, though he was very professional, he seemed to have as much fun as we were having!

An absolutely fantastic Normandy D-Day tour. Where to begin? With the Guide of course. Frederic was knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, professional, humorous, respectful, and thoughtful. My Mother has some mobility issues and Frederic was extremely kind and thoughtful by dropping her off and picking her up several times during the tour to minimize the walking. His commentary was insightful and educational. His driving superb. He even returned a hat left in the van after he had already dropped us off at the hotel. The van was clean, comfortable and was appropriate for our party of 7. I'd be remiss in not mentioning Phillipe who was extremely responsive to my inquiries when booking the tour and coordinating pick up time and location. I would highly recommend this tour and the company.

Very nice experience. My mother and I were picked up from my Paris apartment and driven in luxury to the first stop at Pointe du Hoc in Normandy. My mom has limited mobility so she had her travel wheelchair with her, and our driver (Frederic) was very accommodating. There were some places we could not go with the wheelchair so Frederic tried to make her experience as nice as possible given her challenges. We think he did a great job.
We ended up with a rainy, cold day as well, but all in all we made the best of it and had a very memorable experience. We recommend Best of France Tours for any and all tours around the Paris area.

Our 1/2 day tour of Giverny with Philippe was fantastic! It was our first time in France (visiting from the U.S.). Our 10 year old daughter enjoyed the tour as much as my husband and I did. We learned all about Monet’s life and career in addition to seeing his home, gardens and grave. The cherry on top was the excellent hot chocolate and lunch restaurant recommended by Philippe. Thank you for making our first experience in France so wonderful.

Philippe constructed a tour of the Normandy battlefields and Mont Saint Michel for us and then executed it perfectly. His thorough knowledge of the battlefields and warm personality made our trip a most memorable experience.

5 stars for sure. It all went perfect. Phillippe is a very dedicated and nice guy. We have such a nice time during our small trip to Champagne area, searching for small-medium producers with high quality and good cost-benefit Champagnes.
