What an awful experience with Hampton Publishers.

This has been an awful journey with Hampton Publishers. I paid them $399 to help me format my manuscript, but beware. They will try to sell you on many other services, and it is a hard, pushy sales pitch you will need to endure. I did endure.

Then they weren't getting my book manuscript completed, so I stepped in and started creating my own section dividers because they were so slow and the design quality was poor. Then they stopped and said I needed to pay another $300 to continue, which I did because I was desperate to get my book published. All they needed to do was format it. Then, their designer working on my project quit.

Needless to say, they finally got my book up on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, but it is still not up on the other platforms they promised. So I excitedly ordered a copy and received it today. It is a disaster. The book is not formatted properly. Chapters are mixed, starting on both left and right readers, as well as the section dividers. The formatting is off, so exclamation marks show up as boxes. The Gill Sans Bold font they used does not render well. It is a disaster. So I called them, and they did their pitch again and said I would need to pay more money to get the formatting done correctly. I lost it. They cannot even do the job right and will not take responsibility for their work. It is all about more money. Run from these people. It is a racket. Have purchased several things from bcp and each item has been well made and exactly what I was looking for.

Umbrella is generally a good value, but the instructions are not well written and missing steps and checks. The base is terrible - to fill 308 pounds of sand in a little hole literally takes 4-5 hours. If the base opened in half and you could easily pour sand into it, that would literally save hours of time. Also, the plastic piece that fits on top of the middle of the base where the umbrella is mounted does not stay in place. Every time you turn the umbrella, the square plastic piece pops out.

My experience was great I just don’t love the quality of one product

Did not expect to get the quality for the price. We do farmers markets and use canopies excessively. We bought a different brand in the beginning and they were junk and hard to set up. A random google search and I bought these for price not expecting any better quality than previous brands. Nice surprise with these, easy to put up and take down. Little things like the carry case is great quality etc. we bought a second one and use them almost every day. They are holding up great. They were same price , maybe $10 more but well worth the price

Good product. There are 128 bolts and wing nuts for every planter, so if you have dexterity issues with your hands, I would avoid.
